Oscar Piastri pays touching nod to family member as the Aussie F1 driver clinches FIFTH title of the season
Oscar Piastri celebrated his Spanish Grand Prix victory with his sister Edie in the paddock on Sunday afternoon.
And after completing his post-race media duties, the young Aussie star, who fended off his team-mate Lando Norris in Barcelona, stepped up to sign the magnum bottle of Moet Chandon, a custom for every Formula One race winner.
Eagle-eyed fans watching Sky Sports' live coverage of the race will have noticed that he dedicated his victory to his sister Edie, inscribing a message to his family member on the bottle of champagne.
The 24-year-old Australian star had written: 'To Edie,' on the bottle, before the cameras quickly cut away.
Piastri has three younger sisters, Edie, Hattie and Mae, and has credited his grounded upbringing as to why he has been so successful in the fledgling years of his Formula One career.
Sunday's victory was yet another feather in the cap of the young Australian driver, who is now 10 points clear of team-mate Lando Norris in the Drivers' Standings, after the British star finished second on Sunday.

On the race, Piastri said to Sky Sports: 'Very proud. Very satisfied. It's been a really good weekend from start to finish. FP2 to now has pretty much just been perfect.
'We executed everything we needed to today. A great start. Managed the first stint well, stuck to our guns on our strategy and yeah, executed it pretty much perfectly so I can't ask for more.'
He'll now look to claim his sixth victory of the season at the Canadian Grand Prix in two weeks' time.
Norris, meanwhile, found himself on the podium for the eighth time this season, but not for the first time in 2025, was unable to find his way past his McLaren team-mate.
The British star was also interestingly seen joking with George Russell about his incident at the end of the race with Max Verstappen.
Verstappen was handed a 10-second penalty and dropped to 10th in the race after bumping into Russell.
Norris had been seen in the winners' room after the race re-watching the incident, and commenting on the Dutchman's move, joked: 'I've done that before... In Mario Kart.'
He later cut a slightly awkward figure when pressed on the comment by Sky Sports after the race, adding: 'Oh, you heard that?' while gritting his teeth.
'No comment,' he added.
Norris then refused to comment on the Verstappen-Russell incident, instead stating: 'My race was very good today.
'My team had a great one too.

Hand-painted Captain Scarlet titles and Banksy work among auction items
A hand-painted Captain Scarlet And The Mysterons end title and an artwork from Banksy are among items being auctioned. The sale features more than 430 examples of music, animation, comics and gaming memorabilia as well as contemporary and street art pieces. The piece by illustrator Ronald Embleton accompanied the final credits of Captain Scarlet, the puppet-based series similar to Thunderbirds and also created by the animation duo Gerry and Sylvia Anderson. The image of the 'indestructible' hero, which shows Scarlet diving as inflammable barrels explode, was held in a private collection for more than 20 years, before becoming part of the auction by Propstore. It is estimated at £22,000 to £44,000. Also in the sale is graffiti artist Og Slick's Money Mouse sculpture, which has an estimate of between £14,000 and £28,000, and a circular artwork bearing a black, white and red face by Pirates Of The Caribbean star Johnny Depp that could go for £3,000 to £6,000. The Banksy work is a Di-Faced Tenner, which features Diana, Princess of Wales. That is listed at between £500 and £1,000 with 100% of the wining bid going to development agency Unicef. Talking to passengers is main cause of distracted driving mistakes
Talking to passengers and daydreaming are bigger causes of distracted driving mistakes than using a phone, a new survey suggests. The RAC, which commissioned the poll, warned that distractions can have 'catastrophic consequences'. More than three out of five (63%) of the 2,691 UK drivers surveyed said they have made mistakes behind the wheel because they were distracted. Of this group, the most common causes were talking to other passengers (43%) and thinking about topics unrelated to driving (37%). Interacting with modern touchscreen systems to control functions such as heating, radio and navigation aids also leads to drivers making mistakes, with 26% saying this has happened to them. Mistakes included missing a junction, exceeding the speed limit, ending up in the wrong lane and nearly crashing into another road user. When all respondents to the survey were asked what they consider distracting, the most common responses were talking on a phone (46%) and applying make-up or shaving (42%). But among those who admitted to making distracted mistakes, just 8% and 2% of drivers respectively said those were the causes. Separate Department for Transport (DfT) figures show 940 people were killed or seriously injured in crashes on Britain's roads in 2023 where a driver was found to be distracted by something within their vehicle. RAC road safety spokesman Rod Dennis said: 'Talking to passengers or daydreaming are so common that they aren't perceived by drivers to be big distractions, but our research has revealed they are in fact responsible for most of the errors drivers admit to. 'Although your eyes are on the road, it's easy for your mind to wander behind the wheel, especially on long journeys. 'Distractions can have catastrophic consequences for both drivers themselves and other road users, especially in extreme instances like failing to stop at a junction or at a red light or crossing. ' Driving is still a very mentally demanding task, especially as we need to be able to react to what's in front in a split-second, so it's important we do everything we can to stay alert and minimise distractions.'
