‘Hug me, I'm single': Bengaluru man held for kissing, groping two women in park
A 37-year-old man was arrested for allegedly kissing two women in separate incidents on the night of June 6 in Pulakeshinagar, east Bengaluru, Times of India reported.
According to the report, the accused, S Madan, a resident of Banasawadi, was produced before a local court on Tuesday afternoon and was remanded to 14 days' judicial custody.
Police said Madan, who lives with his parents and younger sister, is unmarried and unemployed. He had previously worked at a private firm but quit after being diagnosed with anxiety and depression, according to his family, the report further added.

One of the victims, a 41-year-old homemaker, filed a police complaint stating that she had gone to Milton Park with her child and a friend on the evening of June 6. 'We were walking inside the park while my child was playing. Suddenly, a stranger appeared and blocked my way. His stares told me all was not well, and I sneaked behind a tree. But he followed and said, 'Come, I am single... hug me', then he kissed me,' she said in her complaint as quoted by TOI.
Shocked by the incident, she screamed and ran toward a safer area where more people were present. She further said the same man soon attacked another woman walking nearby on Milton Street.
The second victim, a 28-year-old woman, was blocked by the accused, groped, and kissed. She sustained an injury to her lips during the assault. The two incidents occurred around 100 metres apart, the first complainant recalled.
The accused allegedly shouted at the women in Kannada, saying, 'Go and complain to police too, I am not bothered. I don't fear anyone.'
After receiving a call to the police control room via 112, two Hoysala patrol vehicles reached the location. Officers took initial details and advised the victims to file a formal complaint at the Pulakeshinagar police station.
Following the FIR, police collected CCTV footage from the area and tracked Madan to his residence in Banasawadi.
Madan has been booked under multiple sections of the IPC related to sexual assault and criminal intimidation.

'After a lot of back and forth, she returned only ₹68K out of my ₹1.5 lakh deposit, citing ₹82K for painting and damages. I had asked her to provide a list of actual purchases, with invoices. All I got was a handwritten sheet with random charges. So in the end, I got back just about 40% of my deposit,' he continued. He further expressed that he takes the blame for not doing proper due diligence, adding, 'But the reality is, dealing with landlords in Bengaluru is just disheartening.' An individual claimed, 'It's not just Bangalore. I got scammed similarly by my landlord when I was in Chennai. India has no regulations that create a fair platform for tenants, even though rental income constitutes 50% of real estate revenue in metro cities.' Another added, '1st lesson: Never give such a high deposit.' A third joined, 'This is a scam in itself, very rampant in Bengaluru. I faced it myself. Thankfully, it was a 1-BHK, and the amount wasn't as big. But I didn't get a single rupee back. The police wouldn't do anything.' A third wrote, 'Dealt with problematic landlords a few years ago and ended up not moving to Bangalore at all!'

Bank fraud case: CBI court sentences pvt firm directors to 2.5 years in jail
A CBI court of special judicial magistrate Anil Kumar Yadav sentenced directors of M/s Mastana Foods Private Limited, of Naya Bazar, Delhi, to two and a half years in jail each. They were also fined ₹10,000 each. The duo—Krishan Mohan Mendiratta and Anil Khurana— residents of Kaithal, were found guilty under Section 120-B (criminal conspiracy) and 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code. M/s Mastana Foods Private Limited was also found guilty under both sections and also directed to pay ₹10,000 each. The case dates back to February 2020. They were booked on the complaint of Bharat Bhushan Kakkar, the then DGM of SBI, Stressed Assets Management Branch, Sector-8, Chandigarh. The case concerned a wrongful loss of ₹91.10 crore to SBI directors of M/s Mastana Foods Private Limited. A case under sections 120B, 406, 420, 467, 468, and 471 of the IPC was registered at the CBI Special Task Branch (STB) police station, New Delhi, on February 25, 2020. The court held that: 'Prosecution has duly proved dishonest intention of borrower company to cheat the bank by dealing with dummy/shell firms for purpose of showing rosy picture of its financial position by relying upon fake paper transactions for sale and purchase without carrying out physical movement of goods and thereby induced the bank to sanction loan by relying upon those fake entries of debtors shown against Delhi based dummy/shell firms and by failure to pay the loan amount of the lending bank caused thereby wrongful loss of ₹91.10 crore to the complainant bank and corresponding wrongful gain to themselves in collusion with each other by leading cogent oral as well as documentary evidence in its support.'

Minor found murdered in Dehu Road, cousin injured
1 2 3 Pune: The Dehu Road police are searching for a man who is on the run after stabbing a 16-year-old youth to death and assaulting the victim's 14-year-old cousin. The incident happened late on Wednesday night on an open plot near Sainathnagar. The victim's body was found in a forest area near Thomas Colony in Dehu Road in the early hours of Thursday. "The victim's cousin, who sustained a stab injury to his stomach, is undergoing treatment in a hospital in Dehu Road area," senior police inspector Vikram Bansode of the Dehu Road police told TOI. Bansode said, "Prima facie investigations revealed that the murder was the fallout of a dispute over the victim's relationship with a girl. We have fanned three teams to trace the suspect." The officer said that the victim just passed his SSC examination and was helping his father in their bakery business. "For the last few months, the youth was in a relationship with a girl from the Somatane Phata area. The suspect, who is the girl's friend, was against this relationship. A few months ago, he had heated arguments with the victim over the same issue," the officer said. Bansode said that on Wednesday around 10pm, the youth left home after receiving a call from the suspect. He went to an open plot near Sainathnagar. "The duo entered into a dispute over the girl, following which the victim called his cousin and told him to come there," Bansode said. He said that the victim's cousin told the police that when he reached there, he saw his brother and the suspect having heated arguments. The suspect suddenly stabbed the victim with a knife. When the cousin tried to intervene, the suspect stabbed him too. "The cousin then fled from there and alerted his friends and family members. His friends admitted him to a hospital and alerted the police," he said. Bansode said that the police rushed to the spot but found nothing there. "Our 50 men carried out searches through the night in the forest area and found the victim's body in the early hours of Thursday. He had injuries on his throat and stomach," Bansode said. The police have found a knife and a mobile handset at the spot. "Investigations so far revealed that the suspect hails from Gopalganj district in Bihar.
