Beyoncé's tour lands in New York for second show: A night of high fashion, high energy
Beyoncé Knowles-Carter launched night two of of her "CowboyCarter" tour in New York with two key themes defining the show — high energy and high fashion.
The Grammy-winning singer kicked off the show around 8:02 p.m. ET on May 24 at MetLife Stadium. The concert was her second time performing in the New York area — East Rutherford, New Jersey — on her Cowboy Carter and Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit Tour. She is set to perform on the same stage for a total of five nights. The remaining shows will take place May 25, 28 and 29.
"Hello, New York! Y'all look absolutely stunning. I am very honored and happy and grateful to be on this stage,' she said as she opened the show.
Saturday's performance proved to be yet another groundbreaking show, where high-energy and high-fashion ruled the night.
Beyoncé's new looks took center stage during the show
Beyoncé's tour has been a huge showcase of fashion and creativity. Each night, Beyoncé continues to blend high fashion and cowboy couture, keeping fans on the edge of their seats as they anticipate a new look. There's been many looks incorporating Western-glam: sparkly chaps, cowboy hats, boots and piles of fringe.
For Saturday night's show Beyoncé's new outfits seem to steal the show. During her "Alliigator Tears" performance, Beyoncé popped out with an all-new outfit. She wore a long fur coat paired with a textured cowboy hat and thigh-high fringe boots. And the look seemed to be a fan favorite online.
That wasn't all. During "Texas Hold Em'" Beyoncé debuted another head-turning look and her dancers wore corresponding outfits. The look featured an American flag jacket with black cowboy hats and more sparkly thigh-high fringe boots for Beyoncé
The energy was electric from start to finish during night two
Many fans in the stadium and online took note of the electric energy throughout the night. One fans wrote, 'This crowd is insane." Another cosigned saying, "night two is taking it.'
Toward the end of the show, Beyoncé even sang the lyrics of her 2008 song "That's Why You're Beautiful" to the crowd as she thanked them for showing up and showing their support.
Of course, Beyoncé first debuted her "Cowboy Carter" tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on April 28 with 39 songs on the set list. Her shows have been filled with family, fashion, different music genres, and most notably country music and cultural commentary.
The nine-city tour will span the U.S. and Europe with the grand finale taking place in Las Vegas on July 26. Beyoncé has already made history with her scheduled tour dates, including by playing the most dates at SoFi Stadium of any artist.

Cynthia Erivo Says ‘I Forgive You' On New Album

Cynthia Erivo Acclaimed singer and actress Cynthia Erivo is heading back to Oz later this year in Wicked: For Good, but between her turns as Elphaba on the big screen, the Grammy and Tony winner is returning to music with her second studio album, I Forgive You. I Forgive You arrives four years after Erivo's debut LP Ch. 1 Vs. 1 and is an intimate look into the ups and the downs of the star's personal life. She first teased the album with lead single 'Replay' and followed it up with 'Worst of Me' in April. 'This album is a collection of stories and songs that are both personal for things that are happening now, things that have happened in the past, and I think some of which I have had to forgive people for. And honestly, some of which I've had to forgive myself for. And I loved the idea of calling it this title, because it's a simple concept, but not an easy one. And not one that we as humans are very good at, often,' she told The Associated Press of the project. Recording I Forgive You, then, was a cathartic expression for Erivo. 'The meat of each of the pieces that you listen to is the voice, so that you can hear the lyrics, you can hear the song, you can hear the emotion in it,' she said. 'Everything you hear in there is real and tangible.' Singing and acting have been intertwined in Erivo's career for years, and for her, the two work in tandem to improve the other. 'They feed each other,' she explained. 'When I sing, I feel free and I feel open, which means that when I go and act — because I've given myself that experience — the want to close off again sort of goes away. So, when I'm on a set, I'm as open as I am when I am singing. I'm waiting to receive whatever I'm getting from my counterpart or whoever's opposite me so I can actually listen. Because the act of writing and singing actually is also the act of listening.'

The New York star has had massive amounts of success over the years as one of the premier solo rock acts of his decade, reaching the Billboard Hot 100's top ten multiple times with songs like "It 'Aint Over 'Til It's Over," Fly Away," and "Again." Kravitz also set a record for most consecutive Grammy wins in the "Best Male Rock Vocal Performance" category. Needless to say, Kravitz is a superstar and somebody who knows how to give a performance. As it turns out though, everybody is victim to technical difficulties. At a recent show, the artist showed some clear frustration after suffering some malfunctions with his equipment. When someone asked, "What happened?," the creator explained, "He kept having issues with his guitars and sound... but to us, it was perfect... we didn't notice any issues." He might have been "snapping," but he played it off like a true pro. Taking to the comments, fans shared their support for the artist. "The show must go on… Lenny is super professional. 💗""Yeah, he really didn't need to bring it up. He was smashing." "He doesn't have time for nonsense." Ana Bárbara, Adriel Favela & Horacio Palencia Hope ‘Pase a la Fama' Gives Mexican Music ‘A Different Level of Visibility'

Pase a la Fama, Telemundo's new television series, is set to premiere on Sunday, June 8 featuring a star-studded panel of judges — Ana Bárbara, Adriel Favela and Horacio Palencia — and original music produced by Latin Grammy-winning hitmaker Edgar Barrera. During the show, participants will compete in a bootcamp-like setting where they will 'train, perform and face challenges,' according to a press statement, vying for a $100,000 prize, a record deal with HYBE Latin America and crowned the next regional Mexican band, which will comprised of five participants. 'I personally feel moved, excited, thrilled and I think it will be a great project.' The judges will be meticulous about who they choose as finalists. They must have 'discipline and respect for the audience and us as judges, all of those are ingredients that for me are very, very important,' Palencia says. 'In fact, I tell the new generation that, for me, discipline is actually even more important than talent, because sometimes it doesn't matter to have talent if you don't have discipline.' So, what were the main qualities the judges looked for? 'It's a band and, at the end of the day, I believe that there are many components that contribute to what brings success to a career,' Palencia adds. 'The [right] attitude, preparation and how they accept more than just criticism, but the constructive advice we give them,' Palencia adds. 'I believe that the winning band will genuinely work towards achieving all of those characteristics.' The show is set to premiere at a time when some música mexicana artists are facing bans in Mexico (if they sing narcocorridos in certain public settings) or visa delays and revocations in the United States. 'I had no idea that all of this could happen, which is both delicate and strong, yet sensitive, and definitely very sad,' Ana Bárbara says. 'Because it affects all of us in some way, it has an impact. We all admire the music of someone who is having problems for various reasons, beyond whatever the reason may be. This show will provide [Mexican] music with a different level of visibility.' The judges will also focus on emphasizing 'clean song lyrics and about love stories,' Favela says. 'It is nice to realize that music is giving us a chance to go beyond the musical aspect. To see our individual values, to see young people singing themes that, nowadays, I dare to say, are being lost, perhaps more and more. And that there is validity in rescuing all of this, which at the end of the day is the pure root of our Mexican essence.' It was previously announced that Lupillo Rivera, Fuerza Regida's JOP and Gabito Ballestero's will join the show as mentors. The first episode of Pase a la Fama will premiere Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on Telemundo.
