A robotic dog to match her dandy Met Gala avatar? Mona Patel said yes
She was a mystery when she arrived at the Met Gala in 2024, but she left with the tag of one of the best-dressed last season. It was a lasting impression, so much so that this year, everyone was quite inquisitive about what she would bring to the Met carpet. And oh boy, did she deliver. It's Indian-American entrepreneur Mona Patel who kept the buzz going, even after her debut last season. Her high fashion concept, just like last year, became the talking point on the blue carpet and beyond this year too.Adhering to the event's theme, "Tailored for You," which celebrated Black fashion and menswear with a focus on dandyism, Patel wore a custom Thom Browne creation. Her outfit featured a sharply tailored black suit complemented by a hand-embroidered corset crafted by Indian artisans, adding a touch of cultural heritage to the modern design. The ensemble was further accentuated by a sweeping silk panel that added dramatic flair to her movements. Now, ain't no Mona Patel look without an addition of a futuristic fashion accessory, and just like last time, it's jaw-dropping. Her futuristic fashion accessory: a robotic dog named Vector. Developed at MIT and inspired by Browne's iconic dachshund, Hector, Vector was dressed in a tuxedo and adorned with a 1,000-carat diamond leash. This fusion of fashion and technology couldn't have asked for a better representation, what say?

Also, what you might have missed is a little detail at the back of her outfit - metallic vertebrae. Just love it!

Last year, at the 2024 Met Gala, themed "The Garden of Time," the diva, who thrives on tech couture (come on, two back-to-back futuristic fashion showcases, so you can't deny), made a memorable debut with a custom Iris van Herpen gown that blended nature-inspired artistry with kinetic innovation. That night, Mona came as a mystery, but she left with a larger-than-life impression that stayed on.

Sydney Sweeney's bathwater soap is ‘marketing nonsense': British TV host calls it ‘beyond silly'
Sydney Sweeney's unusual marketing move, selling her bathwater to produce soap, was recently discussed on Lorraine, the popular UK morning show. British TV host Lorraine Kelly brought up the topic with journalists Matt Chorley and Claer Barrett. 'Shall we talk about something very silly? Sydney Sweeney. This is silly. This is beyond silly. I just don't understand,' Kelly started. 'Apparently, this is very beautiful, very talented actress is selling her bath water. First of all, why? And, who is going to buy?' Matt Chorley pointed out that the product had already been sold out, 'Somebody bought it.' Claer Barrett added that it was being traded on eBay for higher prices. She explained that Sydney Sweeney had partnered with an American brand called Dr Swatch, known for luxury soaps. The actress' bathwater was used in minute amounts to create a bar of soap. According to Claer, the bars were being sold by American retailers for around $8 (£6). Lorraine reacted with amusement and scepticism, calling the whole thing a 'silly marketing nonsense'. 'I know I'm very cynical, but it's true,' she added. An X (formerly Twitter) user earlier posted that Sydney Sweeney's new soap had a hole in the middle. The post quickly went viral. People on Reddit and X started discussing it wildly, calling it 'SoapGate'. But, the claim was false. Other users confirmed that there was no hole in the soap. Though the idea was fake, it became great publicity. After Sydney Sweeney's bathwater soap had been launched on Dr. Squatch's website, it was sold out in seconds. While it was priced at just $8 originally, the same product is being sold on eBay for much higher rates. Prices started from $119 and went up to $1,600. One listing even earlier asked for $2,000. Sellers claim the soap comes with glossy photo prints of Sydney Sweeney, including images from her show Euphoria. The pictures are 8.5-inch size, printed with high-quality ink. However, the autographs are only reprints.

Calling the Indian singer an 'iconic legend", the K-pop star recalled his first encounter with Diljit. 'Yeah, so Diljit, obviously, he's an iconic legend, and the first time that I encountered (him) was a few years ago. We performed at Coachella. Okay, and his set was the last that closed out the Sahara tent, and my show was before that. And after my performance, I rush down. I looked. I watched his crazy set, and I was like, 'Oh my god, maybe one day, you know, I'll be blessed to have a collaboration with him'," he told Pinkvilla, revealing how he wondered about a collaboration with Diljit. Further, Wang talked about the creative process behind his global collaboration with the Amar Singh Chamkila star and stated, 'A few years passed by, and I was writing the song Buck. I was like, hey, Diljit is gonna sound like fire on this song. So, I sent it to them. I slid into his DM, and then I texted (him)." He added, 'I say, 'Hey champ. So this is the song that I created. If you like it, you know, vibe with it. If you don't, it's all good.' You know, all love and stuff, and he replied. He's like, 'Super.' He showed me a lot of love and support, and Yeah, that's how the collaboration came together." The 100 Ways singer was also asked if he has had any funny BTS moments with Diljit from the shoot of their music video, Buck. To this, Wang replied, 'Yeah, I mean, they're live. It's coming out soon. Wang even revealed that he is a fan of Diljit's song, Chauffeur, a Punjabi track that blends elements of Punjabi music with rap, which he worked on, in collaboration with Canadian singer and rapper Tory Lanez.
