Cardiff stars snub final game of miserable season to watch other teams after relegation sparking fan fury
CARDIFF CITY fans have been left fuming after star players snubbed the chance to watch the final game of the season.
The Bluebirds have suffered a dreadful season, which resulted in relegation to League One.

The club were beaten by Norwich City in the final game of the Championship campaign at Carrow Road.
The whole squad did not travel for the matchday as Yakou Meite, Dimitrios Goutas and Anwar El Ghazi were all missing, according to the BBC.
The trio were left out of the matchday squad ahead of their contracts expiring.
It is normal for players to take the day for themselves if they are not selected for a match.
It is also a regular occurrence that they still watch the match regardless if it is home or away.
However, Cardiff supporters have been left fuming after Meite was pictured watching his former side Reading instead,
The BBC have also claimed that injured striker Callum Robinson opted to watch Aston Villa over his contracted club.
It has not been suggested that the players have broken any rules by going to the other matches.
But this has not stopped fans from coming to their own judgments following a miserable season.
The club finished bottom of England's second division and will now be playing in the third tier for the first time in 22 years.

As many as 1,242 supporters made the long journey across the UK to watch the match at Carrow Road.
The match started awfully as Cardiff fell 3-0 down inside the first 23 minutes.
Callum Chambers was also sent off for the Welsh side in the 16th minute.
The travelling support were treated to a brace from Yousef Salech on either side of Shane Duffy grabbing Norwich's fourth.
Interim manager Aaron Ramsay thanked the fans after the game.
He said: 'They've been unbelievable and I think they've really bought into the boys over the last few weeks and the performances that they've produced.
"I can't thank them enough for that. It's a lot of effort for them to come up here today and support us. We appreciate every single one of them doing that and making that journey.
"Thank you again to them and they're going to be a huge part of us bouncing back as a club."

They've just missed out on Liam Delap, who chose Chelsea over Manchester, but have continued to pursue other targets. Mbeumo's skillset is likely to suit the 3-4-3 system implemented by Ruben Amorim, who needs new recruits if he is to be a success at Old Trafford. Newcastle have a well known interest in the Brentford frontman but those in Manchester have acted to try and get a deal over the line with Brentford consistently showing they will sell their top stars for the right fee. Doing so with Ivan Toney last summer. Manager Thomas Frank conceded that Mbeumo had admirers and his departure was possible if the right fee was tabled. "I can definitely understand the interest in him," he said. 'There should be interest in him. He is at his best age, he has scored 20 goals. I would like to keep him, but we are a selling club so if someone comes in with the right price.'

Brentford values Mbeumo at over £60m and may extend his contract by an additional year to retain him. Thomas Frank has acknowledged that Mbeumo's sale is possible but would be "expensive". Mbeumo is attractive to United due to his Premier League experience, versatility across the forward line, and strong fitness record. The response to Rangers choosing Russell Martin to lead them into their new future has been underwhelming, and I get it in a way. It was between him and Ancelotti. When I first saw the latter linked, I thought, 'Jesus! Carlo?' But, no, it was his son, Davide, who's never managed before. Maybe there was a fantasist element among the Rangers fanbase who worked themselves up into a frenzy over that surname, therefore, and now they're disappointed that they've been left with Martin. But he deserves a fair crack at showing what he can do with this opportunity. There was a similar reaction when Celtic appointed Ange Postecoglou, remember. The jibes started as soon as he was announced. 'They've brought in an Australian bloke who's just been working in Japan,' and all that. But Postecoglou didn't turn out to be too bad, did he? Martin has a similar philosophy to him, too. Rangers might actually try to play football for the first time in goodness knows how many years, and the fans might grow to like his purist style if they give it a chance after the direct approach they witnessed under Philippe Clement. Martin deserves that leeway at the very least. Yes, we all know how badly it went with Southampton in the Premier League last season, but then he got them out of the Championship before that and did it in style. Rangers fans may see his win record in charge of MK Dons and Swansea and reckon they should be aiming for a higher calibre of manager. I say judge him on what he does next, not what he did before. Recruitment will be key for him. Making sure Nicolas Raskin stays would help, too. Last season, Rangers did well in their head-to-heads with Celtic. Yet they still ended up 17 points behind their great rivals in the Premiership. That wasn't where they threw away any chance at the title. It was in their other games. Now Martin needs to find that consistency which will hopefully get the fans on his side. I suspect they would have had an issue with whoever was appointed. That's the nature of football fandom. But let's judge Martin on how he does, not before he's even been shown where his office is at the training ground.
