Give Me Five with FuBear! Taiwan Excellence Unites the World with Warmth

Malaysiakini03-06-2025

To promote sustainability and the spirit of giving, FuBear, Taiwan Excellence's beloved mascot, had officially kicked off the 'Give Me Five! A Better Life' campaign. This global initiative made its first stop kicking off at the Jom Heboh Carnival in Malaysia from May 30 to June 1.
The Give Me Five campaign invites people from around the world to interact with FuBear both online and offline through the simple act of giving a high five to promote love, care, and positive energy across borders. Conceived on the values of sustainability and charity, the campaign reflects Taiwan Excellence's strong commitment to societal and environmental issues and will make its way through 11 regions including Taiwan, the U.S., the U.K., Germany, Japan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, India, the Philippines, and Malaysia.
The FuBear is more than just a cute mascot as it embodies the spirit of care, inclusivity, and innovation. FuBear journeys around the globe with a heart brimming with love to invite people from all walks of life to join hands — or rather, paws — to pass on warmth and positivity. The campaign adapts to each country's needs to better support causes such as environmental protection, public health, and community care, all in the spirit of building a better life together.
A joyful high five between a child and Taiwan Excellence FuBear, spreading warmth, one clap at a time.
At this year's Jom Heboh Carnival, Taiwan Excellence goes beyond physical borders by creating both online and on-site interactive experiences:
• Online interaction: Visitors can high-five FuBear on the official Give Me Five campaign website and share their interaction on social media to redeem a halal certified Taiwanese drink — the popular Lao Tao Ke 'Winter Melon Tea'.
• On-site interaction: FuBear will also appear in person for scheduled high-five sessions with visitors. In support of the campaign's charitable mission, participants who donate RM5 to REACH Segamat, a center supporting children with autism, will receive a limited-edition Nasi Lemak-themed eco storage bag, handcrafted by members of the Malaysian Creative Sewing Arts Association (PSJKM).
The eco bag, made by underprivileged families using recycled fabric, highlights both Malaysia's traditional craft and a shared commitment to sustainability and social impact.
A RM5 donation and a high five with Taiwan Excellence FuBear unlock a special gift, all for a meaningful cause.
In addition to appearing at KL Base in Sungai Besi for the Jom Heboh Carnival, FuBear will continue his mission at the upcoming Taiwan Expo in Malaysia from June 23–25 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). There, he will attempt to set a new record for 'Most High Fives in One Minute' in hopes of entering the Malaysia Book of Records.
