Little cozy puzzle games are not exactly my thing these days. I'm a looter shooter person, as many people know. More recently I've been dismembering people in Assassin's Creed Shadows. Before that, mass demon slaughter in Path of Exile 2.
Blue Prince? Blue Prince has changed me to my core.
I've never played a game like this. When I started, I compared it to a combination of Myst and Gone Home, but mix in roguelike elements and the end result is not comparable to anything really. Outer Wilds maybe? Even then, this feels wholly unique.
The basic premise is that you start each day facing a grid of rooms in a mansion. They do different things, costing diamonds or keys to enter, as you attempt to wind the hallways toward a locked, secret 46th room, as if you do, you will inherit the entire mansion from your late uncle.
Rolling credits doing this is perhaps 25% of the game.
We are talking about puzzles on puzzles on puzzles here. Many of which will unlock permanent upgrades helping your runs, from more steps to use in your day, to more money in your pocket when you first arrive. And after you do hit that final room, things open up even more and after 50 hours I am staring at a whole list of unsolved puzzles and unopened doors as I attempt to piece together the other portion of this game.

Every time you solve a complicated puzzle here, the sense of euphoria is more than I've experienced in any game in a long while. I understand why all the reviews that came out about Blue Prince a short while ago mentioned GOTY frequently. Yes, we are a third of the way through the year, but I have trouble imagining anything in the upcoming calendar is going to surpass this except well, you know.
The GTA 6 question has not really felt like much of a question. It's going to be the biggest game ever made, and if it does make it out in 2025 as promised, GOTY seems almost inevitable.
But I do wonder if the types of critics and industry figures who vote in these shows might look beyond the massive scope of GTA 6 and think about what's more innovative, what's more engaging, what's truly unique in the gaming sphere this year. If GTA 6 is a bigger, better-looking Grand Theft Auto, that may not sway them, at least for the industry's awards. This would be far from the first time a smaller game has upset bigger ones.
GTA 6
Rockstar
That say, I'm still going to say it's a 95% GTA 6 wins, but for my personally? Even knowing that's coming, it will be hard to top the experience I've had with Blue Prince here.

What does 'Tudum' mean? What to know about Netflix Tudum 2025 live event

Netflix Tudum 2025 is headed to the world's largest streaming service on Saturday, June 1with fans eager to hear release dates, see exclusive footage and learn more about the streamer's eagerly anticipated upcoming TV show and movie releases. "Netflix Tudum 2025: The Live Event" will feature the casts of "Stranger Things," "Wednesday," Guillermo del Toro's "Frankenstein," and more, while providing behind-the-scenes content and live music. While Netflix's Tudum has been an annual event since 2020, this year it will be held in California and air live on Netflix as a special. Will the special reveal the "Stranger Things" season 5 release date? How about the official trailer for "Squid Games" or more about the launch date for the latest entry in the popular "Knives Out" movie series? Here's all you need to know. Tudum is the spelled-out word meant to represent the two-note sound that plays as the letter "N" is spelled at the start of Netflix's movies and series. (Mind blown, right?) Tudum is also the name of the companion site to Netflix, which offers fans a peak into deleted scenes, audition tapes, interviews, bonus videos and more. The site also provides the latest news on new shows and movies, provides data on top movies on the platform and offers recommended viewing based on your preferences. The onomatopoetic word also refers to the global pop culture event first held in São Paulo, Brazil, in January 2020. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th events were livestreamed on YouTube, and eventually broadcast globally from Brazil in June 2023. Neflix's Tudum has been an annual event since 2020, but this year is the first it'll be held in the U.S. and air live on Netflix. The format for this year's show — dubbed "Netflix Tudum 2025: The Live Event" — is a combination of "fanfare, variety show, comedic, music, live performances, talent, appearances," according to Variety. The event will give audience members a sneak peek at upcoming movies and shows via teasers, trailers and clips, and will introduce guests from TV and film, as well as include live music. Tudum 2025 is being held at the Kia Forum, a multipurpose arena adjacent to Los Angeles in Inglewood, California. Tickets are sold out on Ticketmaster, but they are available on trustworthy and vetted reseller sites StubHub, Vivid Seats and SeatGeek, with tickets as low as $12. Netflix Tudum 2025 will begin streaming live at 8 p.m. Eastern (5 p.m. Pacific). Netflix will be the sole streaming platform for Tudum 2025. Netflix does not offer a free trial, but you can cancel at any time or change your plan without any fees. Here are the plans you can sign up for: Standard with ads for $7.99/month, Standard without ads for $17.99/month and Premium (4K, HDR without ads) for $24.99/month. Actress Sofia Carson, known for "Carry-On" and "The Life List" will host the live event. Tudum 2025 will showcase and tease multiple shows and movies, with a strong lineup of guest stars, some of whom have been kept under wraps. Cast members will appear from the following TV shows and movies: MOVIES Frankenstein Happy Gilmore 2 My Oxford Year The Life List The RIP Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery TV SHOWS America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (Season 2) Emily in Paris (Season 5) Forever (Season 1) Ginny & Georgia (Season 3) Love is Blind My Life with the Walter Boys (Season 2) Nobody Wants This (Season 2) ONE PIECE (Season 2) Outer Banks (Season 5) Squid Game (Season 3) Stranger Things (Season 5) Wednesday (Season 2) WWE Bridgerton, which will be returning for Season 4 in 2026, was not specifically named, but a snippet of the show was featured in the Tudum 2025 trailer, hinting at a possible teaser. Lady Gaga will be performing at Tudum 2025 as well as Hanumankind (aka Sooraj Cherukat), a rapper from India. Lori Comstock is a New Jersey-based journalist with the Mid-Atlantic Connect Team. New McDonald's sauces bring the heat more than ever

"Hot Ones"is a phenomenon that no one saw coming. The premise is, honestly, weird. If you're not familiar, the laid-back host, Sean Evans, sits down with celebrities and, over a plate of 10 chicken wings doused with progressively hotter sauces, asks them a series of thoughtful questions. The celebrities are distracted and sometimes distraught by the spicy food, which can result in unexpectedly intimate conversations, as well as some outright hilarity. "Hot Ones" launched on YouTube in 2015, and in the 25 seasons and 350 episodes since, Evans has interviewed some of the most A+ of the A-listers you can think of, and has made many of them cry. Don't miss the move: Subscribe to TheStreet's free daily newsletter The likes of Tom Holland, Shaq, Jennifer Lawrence, and Margo Robbie have run the "Hot Ones" gauntlet. "'Hot Ones' - a breakthrough pop-culture phenomenon in which stars eat 10 progressively fiery wings (or, increasingly, a vegan substitute) while being asked 10 deeply researched questions - has built itself into an online pillar, holding steady amid the shifting tides of digital media," says The New York Times. Related: Pepsi makes major change that will anger some customers The show has nearly 15 million subscribers and more than 4 billion views on YouTube, plus millions of additional followers on Instagram and TikTok. No wonder McDonald's wants in on the action. McDonald's recently launched three "Hot Ones" sauces, but here's the bad news: the sauce collab is only happening in France. At least for now. McDonald's France offers: Hell Piñata: A smoky chipotle-infused mayonnaise with a mild kick, registering at a relatively mild 10,000 Scoville units. Thaï Toi: A sweet and sour blend featuring ginger and lemongrass, packing a punch at 70,000 Scoville units. Embrase-moi: A bold BBQ sauce infused with habanero peppers, reaching a gut-churning 200,000 Scoville units. Related: Trader Joe's sells out of TikTok famous treat (here's when it's back) The sauces are available with Chicken McNuggets and Veggie McPlant Nuggets in 6, 9, or 20 pieces, either à la carte or as part of a meal (excluding Happy Meals). The "Hot Ones" launch is part of a campaign featuring French rapper Naza, who takes on the spicy challenge under the guidance of host Kyan Khojandi. The McDonald's-"Hot Ones" spicy collab is only available in France for the time being, but American fans are salivating at the thought of a stateside release. Smuggling them from France even seems to be a thing. @noahsanchezofficial said, "I tried these! I took them on the plane back to Cali too lol, still have them" and @lakers209 said, "I brought back a 12 sets from my trip to France last year. They are all a lot hotter than you would expect." For now, spicy-food lovers can indulge in this funky fusion of fast food and fiery flavors, leaving the rest of us to hope it comes ashore here soon.
