Town of Shelburn hosts first farm market of the season on Saturday

SHELBURN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The town of Shelburn held their first annual famers market of the season on Saturday morning.
This year marks the second annual market for the town, located at the parking lot of the old bank in front of the Shelburn Police Department.
The event takes place once a month, and board members hope the event will draw community members in to have the opportunity to purchase homemade goods and fresh items.
'This is kind of neat to get to come out on a Saturday morning, enjoy the weather, chat with the community, people that you don't see very often,' said Paula Montgomery and Bridgette Houser, Shelburn Farm Market Board members. 'People get some good yummy, homemade kind of things to take back with you.'
For those interested in becoming a vendor, it is easy and simple. Plus, the market is always welcoming new vendors for completely free.
'There's applications at the town hall. There are applications at the library. We also have them posted on our Facebook page,' said the board members.
