The pair's breakfast show on Hits Radio West Midlands has been pulled as part of a nationwide restructure.
Instead of localised breakfast output, all Hits Radio branded stations will have one central programme hosted by Fleur East and Big Brother host Will Best.
In the on-air moment, JD was left struggling to find the words as he began the announcement that they had been given the boot.
He said: "After 20 years of broadcasting round here, our show, it is coming to an end.
"We just wanna thank you because we've loved being part of your morning routine and can't thank you enough for letting us into your lives."
Roisin then added: "From my point of view, I think I've had three children - they're 13, nine and five - and I've been here waking you up every morning but now I'm going to be at home waking them up!"
JD then became emotional as his voice appeared to crack as he recounted the various changes the duo had gone through during their time at Hits Radio including various romantic partners, difficult days and children.
They then confirmed that June 6 would be their final show on air before the breakfast programme is pulled for good.
JD then paid tribute to his co-star as he thanked her and called her the "beating heart" of the show.
He then added on the verge of tears: "It's been an absolute pleasure and I never knew I'd last this long in this industry.
Vick Hope finally reveals pregnancy - and date she's going on maternity leave from BBC Radio One
"Thank you so much."
Breakfast shows across the country have been axed in favour of one regional output across the Hits network.
Responding to the emotional moment, shared to the station's X account, one fan said: "You have a proud legacy and your next chapter will be even more awesome! Well done!"
As another added: "Very sad to see this. I take it they want to cull local radio and save costs."
A third then wrote: "Absolutely gutted. Mornings just won't be the same again.
"Thanks guys for the many laughs along the way. Good luck with whatever next xxx."
As a fourth supportively said to JD: "No one can take away the person you are. Your fans support you."

Davina McCall, 57, shares major health update with fans just weeks after receiving all clear from brain tumour

has issued a major health update just months after having surgery on her brain - and receiving the all clear. The legendary TV presenter, 57, went live on Instagram on Thursday night with her hairdresser husband Michael Douglas - who lovingly styled her hair for their 'rave date night' in London. During the Instagram Live, Davina - who was diagnosed with a colloid cyst, a rare type of benign brain tumour in November and underwent a six-hour operation - shared a huge update on her post-surgery journey. She explained to fans: 'I am feeling much, much, much better. I am nearly ready to drive, which is a big indicator of how I'm feeling.' Davina shared how she's waiting for an update from the doctors and DVLA before she can get in the driver's seat again. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The TV star was all smiles as Michael blow-dried her hair, with Davina giving him compliments throughout the video. The loved-up couple - who have been together since - were asked how long they've known each other for. 'We have known each other since 2000,' Davina said. Michael chipped in: 'I did Davina's hair for a hair commercial. She took my number,' as Davina added: 'Yeah I did.' Her husband continued: 'And we became friends.' She went on to say that they reconnected when she started to host Big Brother, with Michael often doing her hair for the show. Michael said they were heading to Ibiza this weekend on a romantic getaway, which the pair seemed excited for. Last month, discussing her recent health battle, Davina explained to Women's Health: 'When I got this brain tumour I said to [my partner] Michael, "If I make it, this will be the greatest thing that's ever happened to me."' She went on to say that they reconnected when she started to host Big Brother, with Michael often doing her hair for the show She continued: 'Because of the learnings, yes – and because of the places I've had to go to deal with it...I'm sort of going through a slightly mind-blowing phase of my life where I'm just asking questions about everything. 'I keep thinking: I've survived this thing, but I don't know how that happened or why it happened. 'The whole start back into life again after the operation was amazing – mega. And [in the midst of] that feeling of anxiety and institutionalisation – of your house being the only safe place, of forgetting how to function in a normal way – everything felt like a massive win.' Davina went on: 'I want to say a massive thank you to everybody that looked after me so well. A special heartfelt thank you from both of us to Kevin for being such an absolute legend.'

Doorbell Detectives and Scam Interceptors review: These Big Brother-style shows turn daytime TV into long periods of boredom punctuated by moments of terror

You can tell its summer as, despite the downturn in the weather leaving us less likely to head outside, the main terrestrial broadcasters don't seem to have anything new for our viewing pleasure. Which is how I ended up watching Doorbell Detectives (BBC1, Mon, 8.30pm), which inexplicably was given a prime-time slot this week before retreating to a more usual daytime airing in a terrifyingly Big Brother-style anti-crime double bill with Scam Interceptors (BBC1, weekdays, 2.30pm). Watchdog's Matt Allwright – who has carved himself a niche in these low-budget infotainment shows – hosts Doorbell Detectives, standing uneasily in the middle of a set which is part hay-barn and part GP's waiting room. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad What little budget the show has is taken up by a floating screen in the middle of the barn, on which Matt can show us grainy footage from doorbell cameras up and down the country. Matt Allwright in the Doorbell Detectives studio, a 'cross between a hay barn and a GP's waiting room' (Picture: BBC/Objective Media Group t/a Purple Productions) Apparently, one-in-five homes comes equipped with these mini CCTV rigs, constantly texting alerts to phones across suburbia, alerting home owners to the delivery man chucking a parcel on the doorstep, next door's cat relieving itself on the azaleas, or little Tommy from No.35 belting down the pavement on his e-scooter. Matt and his doorbell detectives seem to the think this is a good thing, and brings in Anton, a former police officer with 30 years' experience, to help one Manchester resident previously left severely under-surveilled to fit a camera to her own home. Anton, who seems to think he is testifying in the witness box rather than offering advice on a semi-serious daytime TV show, offers essential advice such as 'make sure the battery is charged', while brushing off concerns about the invasion of everyone's privacy. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad 'Some people can get a bit funny about catching what's going in neighbouring properties,' he says, as if the wish to maintain some sort of privacy is the main indicator of a serial killer. Doorbell Detectives features footage taken from doorbell cameras of would-be criminals attempting thefts and burglaries (Picture: BBC/Objective Media Group t/a Purple Productions) Meanwhile, back in the studio, Matt chats to people who caught would-be burglars in the all-seeing eye of their doorbell camera, and finds out what they did next. Mainly, it seems, telling everyone else in the neighbourhood WhatsApp group, so they could check their doorbell cameras as well. That's because 'confronting thieves is dangerous', Matt tells us, before then proving it by talking to homeowner Alison, whose husband was badly beaten up by a fleeing criminal. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Understandably, Alison doesn't want to be identified, so Matt ends up talking to a floating phone lock-screen in the middle Doorbell Detectives' luxo-barn. It all gets very tense in the Scam Interceptors HQ. The team are Harleen Nottay, Mark Lewis, Aaron Ng, and Nick Stapleton (Picture: BBC Studios) It's all very low-rent, and frankly very dull, unlike its partner Scam Interceptors, which is Mission: Impossible compared to Doorbell Detectives' Hettie Wainthropp Investigates. Rav Wilding sits in 'Interceptor HQ' in Glasgow, accompanied by a team of black-clad investigators, staring at a bank of screens – all with headsets and flashing lights. Apparently, they have employed the services of an 'ethical hacker' to get into the computer systems of those scam callers who regularly call to warn you that someone has spend thousands of your hard-earned pounds online. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad They can listen into the scammers calling an unsuspecting pensioner and – hopefully – warn them they are being scammed. Unfortunately, you wonder how they don't get caught in that Spider-Man meme, the one where several Spider-Men are all pointing at each other, each caller claiming the other is the scammer. Rav is incredibly enthusiastic, the music is pounding and urgent, and the sense of tension is palpable. Both these shows leave you with the uncomfortable feeling of being observed anonymously, distantly by unknown powers. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad But beyond that, the effect they have must be the opposite of the one required. Far from imparting information that might help keep you safe, far from being an effective crime-busting tool, and very far from giving you a reassuring notion that these criminals are being deterred, these shows can only serve to frighten the viewers at home. Given these are daytime shows, many of those viewers will be the very frail, vulnerable or elderly people they profess to want to protect. And leaving them in a state of fear, unwilling to go out, to engage with the world, to enjoy a full life. Only stuck inside watching TV. Which, as we know, is a problem. Because its summer, and there's nothing on.

Freddy Brazier heading to rehab to 'get clean' for heartbreaking reason

Freddy told followers he's been 'smoking' since the age of 12 and wants to focus on getting healthy in happy at a Spanish rehab centre. Freddy Brazier has revealed he's going to Spanish rehab. The youngest son of the late Jade Goody and TV presenter Jeff Brazier has been in the headlines of late after reports his relationship with his family has become so strained that he's been living with grandmother Jackiey Budden. Freddy, 20, took to Instagram to share an update with followers on Friday. He said he wants to mend fences with people, focus on his health after revealing he's been "smoking" since the age of 12, and work on being happy. ‌ Freddy stated: "I've decided that I will be cutting down and I want to go to Rehab In Marbs as I feel if I'm in England I won't take getting clean seriously. I've been smoking from the age of 12 and it's time to stop. It was a bad coping mechanism that turned into an addiction, something I relied on and something that made me feel sane and some what OK. ‌ "I've found a boxing club and a rehabilitation centre. Ive found someone I want to get to know and I'm happy. I got a good bunch of friends and I [want to] get out and enjoy myself. "I want to be clean so I can live happily and have healthy relationships with people and be there for all of my family rather then feeling like I'm in the middle and have to choose a side." He added: "I haven't been able to feel loved properly as I have never loved myself and it starts now. I want to play football and take up boxing I want to be happy and be in a healthy relationship and have a healthy relationship with my Nana and my father. "Every day is a new story about me and my Nana and father. It's getting boring now. Mind your business and have a good rest of the week x." Earlier this week we reported Freddy's dad Jeff was said to have reportedly set a court date to stop Freddy from seeing his gran Jackiey - who is the mum of the late Jade. This comes as recent pictures emerged of the pair smoking together in London. Jeff had two sons with the Big Brother star - Bobby, 21, and Freddy, 20. The presenter is now trying to block contact between Freddy and Jackiey, but his youngest son had been seen to be spending time with his gran despite this dad's concerns. ‌ Back in March, it was reported that Jeff had launched legal proceedings to stop the family members meeting with each other. However, this has not seemed to help the relationship between the father and son. Freddy has been previously reported to have a 'secret feud' with his dad, which has led to him 'storming out the house' after arguments and choosing to stay at Jackiey's flat in southeast London while he settles down. Jeff also revealed on Celebrity Race Around The World that he doesn't see Freddy much as the 20-year-old "isn't at home loads". ‌ In photos revealed by The Sun, Freddy and Jackiey, 68, were seen together by the Thames in South London. In the snaps, it appears that the pair were smoking what looked like a joint. It was also reported that Jeff has a court date set to stop Freddy seeing his granny due to concerns about his welfare. A source said: "These pictures show exactly why Jeff is so worried about his son. "Jackiey's influence over Freddy is harmful to his overall wellbeing. It's very sad that a grandmother would want to encourage her grandson to do something that could potentially be so damaging." Sources have also claimed that last year arguments between the father and son got so tense that Freddy would reportedly storm out to go to his nan's.
