TIGER WOODS was a 'ghost' behind the scenes who never gave any clues about his wild lifestyle, according to a golfer who played with him.
Two-time PGA Tour winner Brian Henninger also says he's surprised by Wood's blossoming romance with Vanessa Trump.

Henninger played with top stars including Woods, Phil Mickelson and Sir Nick Faldo.
The American says Woods would cut an isolated figure among golfers and was so focused he could be intimidating.
But Henninger, who also described Faldo as 'arrogant' and branded Jack Nicklaus a 'narcissist', said this attitude set him apart.
Henninger told SunSport: 'Tiger Woods is not a person you're going to go and hang out with.
'He's not eating with you in the lunchroom. He's pleasant though. He'd say 'Hi Brian'. He knows a little bit about everybody, he does his research.
'I'll never forget the first time I met him. We were at the Western Open, we're in this fitness trailer, they were stretching us or something.
'He goes 'hey, I saw your Trojans got beat by Stanford the other night'. I mean, I've never met him.
'So I think he's one of those prepared guys in any situation.

'Behind the scenes, he was a ghost to most of us. We didn't really know about his life off the course. We know what the media shared with us, but I didn't really know that lifestyle.
'He was a natural show off. He had so much popularity and it's incredible.

'I didn't get to travel and own mansions, private jets and have Michael Jordan as my best friend…even though I'd love to be a fly on the wall for that stuff.
'But he didn't show signs on the golf course of being affected by any of it.
'Scottie Scheffler is coming along doing similar things. I don't know all the matrix behind it, but they are very close in terms of how many times they've won at a certain age and all the accomplishments.
'They can just turn it on and off. I mean, they get to the golf course and they're like different human beings."
He added: 'Tiger could be intimidating to some extent. I played with him right at his peak in the early 2000s.
'It's so unique when you're with these people who are so different. They have skill sets beyond what you can kind of comprehend or define.'
Woods was rocked by scandal in his prime, divorcing Swedish model Elin Nordegren in 2010 after allegations of multiple affairs.

Then in 2017, Woods pleaded guilty to reckless driving after he'd been found passed out in his car with prescription drugs and marijuana in his system.
Now Woods is dating Vanessa Trump, the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr, son of sitting US President Donald Trump.
And Henninger says he's surprised by the romance but can see how it unfolded.
He said: 'I was surprised to see Tiger dating Vanessa Trump. Even though in today's world, nothing surprises me anymore.
'But he lives in Florida, so I'm sure he's interacting with Donald Trump, who owns a few golf courses down there and stuff.
'Nothing surprises me with Tiger. I just kind of wish I knew. I like the drama, share it with us!'
Henninger believes Scottie Scheffler is currently the best golfer in the world. He sees traits in the American he also saw among the greats he played with.
In June, Nicklaus candidly told Scheffler not to get carried away with his recent success.

He said: 'If he is thinking about being the best and starts believing he's the best, pretty soon he starts scratching his ears out here like this, and that's death. Once you start to get a big head and believe you're too good, then you will get beat.'
But Henninger could understand the comments.
He branded Scheffler and Nicklaus as 'narcissistic', but hailed the trait as something vital for their success.
Henninger added: 'Scheffler is different. I almost feel like he's playing for a different purpose, and he seems really balanced with his family, which is really important to him.
'He's made so much money in recent years yet he seems to be doing it for this focus on the process and the competition, not for the money, even though that's the byproduct of playing really well.
'They threw him in jail in the middle of a tournament last year, then he came out and shot 65, who does that?
'So he's got the resilience it takes to be number one in the world and takes responsibility for it.
'It takes a narcissistic person and Nicklaus is that person too, by the way, I've spent a little bit of time around him. These guys have big egos.'

He also labelled Sir Nick Faldo as arrogant

Another golfer who had a big ego was Faldo, Henninger says, who now works as a commentator in golf.
Henninger says Faldo was arrogant and recalled a time he demanded changes to his parking space.
He said: 'Faldo is one of them, he's from over there (arrogant). He's intense, a lot of us are pretty uptight.
'To be honest with you, Greg Norman was super uptight, to the extent you don't really want to be around those people.
'He's one of the greatest players that ever lived. He's a big guy, he was very mechanical, so he had a really pretty swing. It was very methodical. But an example of Faldo's arrogance was when we were playing in the senior players' championship in Philadelphia five or six years ago.
'Because he's close to my last name, like F and H are close, he's parked right next to me and when I pull up early in the week, it says Sir Nick Faldo on his little sign by his car.
'It only took about 24 hours and it said, Sir Nick Faldo. That tells you the whole story."

The midfielder came off the bench in normal time and scored a penalty in the shootout as Dons won 4-3. He signed for the Pittodrie side straight out of New York City FC's youth sides in 2022. The 25-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2023/24 after returning from a loan to Charleston Battery in the US, making 40 appearances and scoring five times. He got together with Natasha Connery last summer, who is the daughter of the stepson of a famous Scots actor. Natasha's grandfather Sir Sean Connery was of course best-known for being the first actor to portray super-spy James Bond. He played 007 in seven films over the course of 21 years, including fan-favourites Goldfinger and Diamonds Are Forever. He also won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role in The Untouchables and was knighted in 2000 for services to film drama. Former Rangers chairman Sir David Murray has also revealed that Connery secretly invested £1million into Gers. Connery, who died in 2020, was a supporter of the club and close friend of Murray's. Sir Sean Connery's secret £1 MILLION investment in Rangers revealed Murray wrote in his book Mettle: "For years, Sean and I would share a catch-up call every weekend to chat through the football and we would inevitably kick off with Rangers. "After all, he had put £1million into the club which no one knew about at the time or even since. "I was raising £50million in 2004 and Sean asked if he could invest. "I told him that it was football, that there were no guarantees and he should get professional advice but he was adamant - he wanted in." Celtic on brink of two transfers after Benjamin Nygren as Taylor succession plan jolts but Balikwisha the 'main focus'
The Swedish international is the latest new face in the building at Celtic Park Celtic are in the midst of a packed transfer window after Sweden international Benjamin Nygren became the third signing of the summer. The Nordsjælland forward was snapped up for a bargain £1.5million after having just has six months - and his official unveiling followed deals for Kieran Tierney and Ross Doohan with things picked up at Parkhead. Fulham B standout Callum Osmand is also set to move to Glasgow, having earned acclaim during his displays with the Cottagers' youth set-up. And with Celtic fans eagerly awaiting the next incoming signing, he has already dropped a clue over why he has opted to walk away from the Premier League side. Speaking last season to the Jersey Evening Post, the frontman conceded he wanted to make a first-team breakthrough: 'I think my main goal for the new year would be to get some exposure to men's football 'Obviously that opportunity can come in many different forms. But it's about making the next step, pushing on, and getting myself involved in men's football." With one prospect coming in, another is set to leave the club with Matthew Anderson set to join KV Kortrjik in the Belgian second tier. Left-back Anderson has spent the last two years out on loan at Admira Wacker in Austria and the Celtic Way report that the youngster is keen on regular first-team football away from Glasgow's east end. Speaking to Record Sport, Stephen McManus, who coached Anderson with the Hoops B-team, predicted a massive future ahead for the youngster. He said: "Matthew outgrew the B team two years ago. That's why he's not played for the B team. That's why the next stage of his development was to go out and loan. "He's a terrific boy, terrific worker from a terrific family, and he'll be a top player." While Celtic are set to receive a "minimal" fee, a huge sell-on fee has been placed in the deal in case his career skyrockets away from the club. A left-back is a top priority with Greg Taylor inching closer to a move to PAOK - with Djurgarden wonderkid Keita Kosugi touted as the man to compete with Kieran Tierney for a starting spot. Djurgården's sporting director Bosse Andersson has hinted at a bumper price that could scare off suitors - but boss Jani Honkavaara admits the club's prize asset could be on the move. He told Sportbladet: "There have been rumours all along. When we had a good season in Europe, there was a lot of interest. "He's a good player and if we lose him, we have to find a replacement. "We've sold for quite a lot of money. I hope we can spend some money too. We'll see how it goes. It's been good money, but now maybe it's time to build something." Michel-Ange Balikwisha also appears to be moving back up the Parkhead agenda with reports in Belgium suggesting that Royal Antwerp are ready to lower their asking price for the 24-year-old. It has been claimed that talks have reached a deadlock over the £5.1m asking price - but they now state that a the deal could go as low as £4.6million with Antwerp in need of a financial boost. Gazet van Antwerpen state that the forward is the "main focus" for the Scottish champions at this stage with their positive clear to Antwerp.

Jake Knapp sets course record with 61 at Rocket Classic in Detroit
June 27 - Jake Knapp's latest record day resulted in a course record at the Rocket Classic on Friday. Knapp went 7-under par over an eight hole stretch to propel him to a course record 11-under 61 at the Detroit Golf Club on Friday. Knapp, who began the day tied for 120th at the Rocket Classic, poured in an eagle and nine birdies on a bogey-free card that vaulted him from the cutline into contention. Knapp, 31, has established a reputation for being an extremely streaky player. In February, he recorded the 15th sub-60 round in PGA Tour history in the first round of the Cognizant Classic. He eventually tied for sixth after stumbling to a final round 72. Knapp fired an opening-round 63 in his most recent start at the RBC Canadian Open. He again posted a final round 72 to settle for a T27. Ranked 98th in the world, Knapp has one career victory on tour. That came at the 2024 Mexico Open, where he also posted a 63 in the first round and held on for a two-shot victory with a 71 on Sunday. "I'm definitely not afraid of shooting a low number," Knapp said. "I feel like when I start making birdies, I want to make more. I was even kind of thinking about 59 when I stuck it close on my third to last for eagle and figured I could maybe eagle that and birdie the last two. "I think when you're playing well just try to stay out of my own way and just kind of keep doing what I'm doing and making more birdies." Friday's course record came just a day after Knapp struggled to an even par 72 on a course that yielded a pair of 10-under 62s on the day. During the opening round, he managed just a lone birdie against one bogey. That changed quickly on Friday as Knapp took advantage of a hot putter. Following three consecutive pars to open his round on the back nine, Knapp poured in three birdies over a four-hole stretch. He reached the par-5 17th hole in two and then drained a 34-foot eagle putt. After making his turn in 5-under 31, Knapp birdied six of his first eight holes on his inward nine to reach 11 under for the round and complete an 11-shot improvement from Thursday. "I was just kind of bummed last night because I felt like in the practice rounds and everything felt like I was hitting it pretty nice, and I know this course sets up well for me," he said. "So to shoot even par the first day just feels like you're shooting yourself in the foot, but feels nice to bounce back with 61. "I just tried to play a little bit more aggressive, and for the most part we just went in with the mindset today that every pin was a green light so just tried to hit it at everything." --Field Level Media
