Primark's new £16 shoes look 'just like' luxury £99 version
Primark's new shoes are very similar to a luxury pair - but there's a huge price difference
Primark has launched a new pair of shoes that look just like a more expensive designer pair. The budget-friendly retailer, known for its fashion and home items, might have just unveiled a hit with shoppers.
The high street favourite's Patent Slingback Court Shoes are similar to a style by designer brand Kurt Geiger, but Primark's offering comes at a much lower price point. Shoppers can pick up the Primark version for £16, while the luxury counterpart carries a price tag of £99 when shopped online.
Both pairs feature a minimalist aesthetic with a sleek, slingback strap and matching pointed toes. They both also have a low heel, are made with a leather alternative and leather-look finish.
However, there are some clear differences between the two. The Kurt Geiger shoes feature a buckle fastening, while the Primark version does not.
The Primark shoes are available in light pink or light blue, while the luxury shoes come in bone or black. The retailer describes the heels as "slingback court shoes featuring a pointed toe and patent finish."
The product description for the designer shoes reads: "This Aria Low2 heel features a bone leather alternative upper with pointed toe and slingback style ankle strap. The kitten heel is flared in design."
Retailing at £16, the Primark shoes are a steal compared to the Kurt Geiger aria low heel, which cost £99. This means shoppers could pocket a saving of approximately £83 by choosing the budget-friendly version.
The Patent Slingback Court Shoes can be picked up in stores now. Availability at your nearest store can be checked here.

Fashion editors' top tips on how to style the nineties Bermuda shorts trend that's having a resurgence
We've found a great pair from Primark for under £20 that has pockets and belt loops! LONG & SHORT OF IT Fashion editors' top tips on how to style the nineties Bermuda shorts trend that's having a resurgence WHETHER you're looking for something new to add to your summer workwear wardrobe, or want another option for your holiday, the Bermuda style could be for you. With their longer length and versatility, the '90s shorts style has been trending for a few years, and they're not going anywhere this summer. Advertisement From smart pleated pairs perfect for the office or events, to relaxed denim versions that make a great swap for your usual jeans, there's something for everyone. Our Fashion team has rounded up their top picks from the high street, plus how to style them. Clemmie Fieldsend, 34, Fashion Editor 4 Clemmie's found a bargain with this denim pair from a supermarket brand Credit: This season, I've switched up my beloved denim cut-offs for a longer style - enter the Jort. I love F&F jeans, so it only seemed fitting to give their bargain £18 pair a whirl - and I'm so glad I did, as I love them! Advertisement They're just as comfortable as my trusty jeans and look so stylish when dressed up with a crisp white blazer. M&S stores are rammed with tons of sizes of all its stock, because of its online struggles, so it's never been a better time to shop in-person. It was love at first sight with this blazer, and I know I'll wear it hundreds of times throughout the summer, to work or on holiday. I've paired them with these New Look heels I already have in my wardrobe that are comfortable for the nine-to-five (trust me!), and this designer-inspired bag from H&M makes an effortlessly summery look. Advertisement Finally, I'll add a flash of colour with this stunning Abbott Lyon jade green necklace. Abby McHale, 30, Deputy Fashion Editor 4 Abby has found her perfect Bermudas in the colour of the season, pale yellow Credit: Gone are the days when I used to pull out my very short denim shorts for the summer - these days, I'm all about the longer length. Which is why the Bermuda style is great for me. Advertisement I love this belted yellow pair from & Other Stories - not only is pale yellow one of the big colours this season, but the belt also gives me some extra shape at the waist. While these shorts are fairly smart, I've made the look a little more casual with a graphic T-shirt (this one is a bargain at just £12.99) and some flat fisherman sandals. With an extra pop of print thanks to this Damson Madder leopard bag and a pair of sunnies, this is a look I'll be wearing on repeat all summer long. Tracey Lea Sayer, 53, Fashion Director 4 Tracey's Bermuda shorts come as part of a co-ord set with a matching jacket Credit: Advertisement I love a tailored short suit for when the temperature soars in the city, because it is the perfect alternative to a trouser suit. This summer, it's all about Bermuda shorts - a longer, baggier style than I am used to, but I definitely want to give them a go. While in my head I dream of being that cool COS model who wears their Bermudas low-slung and skater style, the fact is that my mum-tum will pop over the top, which is so not cool! So, I have gone for a smarter option. Advertisement These long-line pleated shorts give great coverage around my waistline, plus they feel office-appropriate because of the longer length. I've teamed the suit with buttermilk accessories and a pair of Le Specs sunnies. Summer in the city? Bring it on! Emily Regan, 25, Fashion Assistant 4 Emily proves that Bermudas can work for your holiday wardrobe Credit: Advertisement I've enjoyed wearing Bermuda shorts in my workwear wardrobe for a couple of years now, and recently I switched them in for my denim pair while on holiday. If you're yet to try the trend and don't want to spend a fortune, this cream pair from Primark's Edit range is under £20. The shorts are super-versatile and come complete with pockets and belt loops. I've styled them with this gorgeous printed shirt from H&M, matching beaded earrings and a raffia bag, plus some sandals that you could easily swap for gold heels in the evening. Celtic FC Adidas Samba trainers faces critisism by fans
The Glasgow club recently unveiled a special-edition Adidas Samba trainer featuring the Celtic crest, but the £100 price tag and overall design have sparked widespread backlash from supporters. One frustrated fan commented: '£100? For God's sake, Celtic, that's over the top.' Another added: 'Never liked the look of Sambas, but even if I did, I wouldn't spend £100 on them. Rip-off.' A third supporter echoed the sentiment, saying, 'To be fair, they look terrible. Having already released Samba and Gazelle, they should've gone with something different, like a ZX. "Also, charging £100 is shocking. I'll pick them up for the collection, but it's a shockingly poor release.' A fourth said bluntly: 'Scamming more money from the fans.' While the trainer release has drawn criticism, Celtic's new merchandise partnership with Primark has seen a warmer reception. The Glasgow Times reported that the collaboration includes a range of kid-friendly apparel now available in Glasgow stores, such as a green hoodie with the Celtic crest for £15 and a camouflage T-shirt priced at £9. (Image: Newsquest) (Image: Newsquest) READ MORE: Primark's Celtic range sparks backlash from Rangers fans One shopper praised the collection, saying: 'Bought these for my boys — quality is unreal, looks like I just bought them from the Celtic shop.' Promotional descriptions call the hoodie 'a gift of sport and style for your mini-me,' while the T-shirt is described as 'a camouflage Celtic FC top that's hard to hide how cool it is.' However, the exclusive focus on Celtic has raised eyebrows among Rangers supporters, who are questioning the lack of representation for the other half of the Glasgow football divide. One shopper asked: 'What about Rangers ones?' while another echoed: 'Where are the Rangers ones?'

Primark shoppers are raging at new change they've made at the tills shouting ‘they break before you get home already'
PRIMARK'S brown paper shopping bags are instantly recognisable on the high street. But as of last month, the retailer starting charging customers for them for the first time - and shoppers have been sharing their frustrations online. 4 4 From May 12, Primark said it would require customers to pay 15p for their paper bags, regardless of whether they were small, medium, or large. Up until that point, they had been completely free and aimed to be an environmentally-friendly alternative to plastic bags. However, they haven't gone down well with all customers. TikTok user Aamina - who posts under @aamina___ - uploaded a video saying: "Why is Primark now charging for paper bags? 'The bag charge was originally introduced to reduce plastic bag waste and shoppers were given bags for life. 'Now they are charging for one use paper bags that break by the time you get home. 'Is this just a money making scheme?' When it brought in the change, Primark said: 'Got a reuseable bag? Bring it along next time you visit our stores. 'Why the change? Research shows that introducing bag charges reduces the number of new bags customers use. 'It's a simple step that encourages all of us to think twice about our use.' They explained that they use 'use thousands of paper bags every day' and while the paper bags are made from '100% recycled and recyclable materials ', they are 'always looking for ways to cut down on single-use waste.' Bargain hunters are legging it to Primark to nab new travel rucksack - it's only £16 & there's 4 colours to choose from While they advised customers to bring their own reusable bags, they added: 'If you forget to bring a bag, we've got you covered in-store with reusable shopping bags in a variety of sizes, starting from just 80p. 'You'll spot them at the tills in white or our signature brown style, both made from sturdy materials designed to withstand your shopping trips. 'If you're after a more stylish option, we stock canvas tote bags all year round.' 4 'WALKING ADVERT' Responding the TikTok video, people were quick to share their thoughts on Primark charging for bags. One said: 'You're paying for a walking advert for their shop.' A second added: 'They wanna charge for a bag that'll break before I turn around.' However, one person defended Primark for the new charge. They said: 'Pretty obvious isn't it?? Sure a paper bag is miles better than a plastic bag, but it's still pretty much single use. We should all be bringing our own bags when we go shopping!' Another shared: 'People realise shops have to buy the bags in, it's still a product at the end of the day.' Why Primark is great for looking expensive on a budget By Clemmie Feildsend, Fabulous Fashion Editor AS someone who's no stranger to grabbing a last-minute outfit from Primark for a night out, it's about time that celebrities started catching on too. For as long as I've been heading out, Primark has been my go-to for those 'I have nothing to wear' moments, rushing in at the last minute to find something perfect. And I'm definitely not alone - on any Friday or Saturday night, you'll find plenty of shoppers doing the same thing, right before closing time. But no matter what, Primark always delivers. Now, Rita Ora is leading the charge, showing that you can snag a designer-worthy look without spending a fortune at high-end stores. While Rita's not rushing in last minute for a red carpet outfit, she's proving you can achieve the same high-impact style for much less. Looking stunning in her tailored suit alongside her mum Vera, Rita fit right in among the other A-listers dripping in Prada, Dior, and Victoria Beckham - if anything, she looked even better than some of the guests at The Fashion Awards. With Myleene Klass and Roxy Horner already jumping on the Primark bandwagon, I'm sure more stars will be following suit soon enough.
