A doorbell camera capturing the hilarious moment a police officer came to a Texas residence—wondering if the owner knew more about the unlikely duo roaming the neighborhood—left viewers in stitches.
TikTok user @shaaynaamaay received notification on her phone about activity underway outside her front door. When she looked back at the footage, she saw a police officer standing on her porch with a German shepherd and a goat closely behind.
In the June 7 TikTok video posted to the account @shaaynaamaay, the homeowner shared a snippet of what the doorbell camera captured. The officer began asking through the camera whether the homeowner knew who owned these animals. He slightly raised his hands in disbelief, explaining these two unlikely friends were "together."
Sprinkled throughout the video are clips of the duo standing on the patio without the officer. The time-stamps from the doorbell camera show they were hanging out at her house around 3 p.m., staying under the porch shade and enjoying their time together out of the Texas sun.
The caption reads: "They're best friends. The goat followed the dog everywhere he went."
Newsweek reached out to @shaaynaamaay via email for additional information.

While it is not every day you see a dog and a goat strolling around the neighborhood together, these two animals, when introduced properly, can be friends.
A vet-approved article from Dogster said that goats are typically afraid of dogs. In the wild, goats are seen as prey and dogs predators. With an instinct to chase, dogs might run after a goat trying to flee the perceived danger. However, with patience and introductions at an early age, civil relationships, if not friendships, can form.
An introduction might include keeping your dog on the leash or having them meet through a fence. Have them meet daily until they are comfortable and reward your dog when they are behaving properly.
Viewer Reactions
As of Monday, the TikTok video reached over 1 million views and 146,200 likes. People couldn't stop laughing at the officer's reaction.
"The way he almost said 'these DOGS' and then looks down and is like, '...eh, goat,'" commented a viewer.
A second wrote: "The cop is rethinking his career choice."
A third user pointed out: "The GOAT looked around like I do not see any goat."
Another added: "Seriously, seen this on Facebook all weekend on the neighborhood pages! Hope they found their homes!"

Aubrey Anderson-Emmons cleverly comes out as bi with help from this 'Modern Family' scene
Not everyone has the chance to come out of the closet with the help of their younger self, but Aubrey Anderson-Emmons saw a hilarious opportunity and snatched it right up. The actress-turned-singer, who played Lily Tucker-Pritchett on Modern Family for 11 seasons, came out as bisexual via TikTok on Sunday night. And she did so with the help of an iconic scene from the series. In season 4, episode 19 ("The Future Dunphys"), Gloria (Sofia Vergara) sets out to help Lily get in touch with her Vietnamese heritage. Lily, however, is a little too young to grasp the concept, and seems to believe that because her adoptive dads are gay, that's what describes her as well. "You are Vietnamese," Gloria says. "No, I'm not," Lily protests. "I'm gay! I'm gay!" "Honey, no, you're not gay," Mitchell Pritchett (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) tells his daughter. "You're just confused. Oh my god, what is wrong with me?" PHO🍲 #sofiavergara #camerontucker #mitchellpritchett #lilytuckerpritchett #lilypritchett #modernfamily #modernfamilyseason1 #modernfamilyseason2 Anderson-Emmons played the audio from the scene over a TikTok she posted to her account, lip syncing along to the dialogue she recorded over a decade ago. To make her point perfectly clear, she added a text overlay to the video. "people keep joking so much abt me being gay when I literally am," she wrote, adding in parentheses, "I'm bi." hehe happy pride month and to all a good night🤭 #modernfamily #lily #pridemonth #pride #fyp #bi An adorably inspired coming out moment if ever there was one! Happy Pride and welcome to the fam, Aubrey!

Wild Iris Musk Body Wash, the summer-friendly sister of the TikTok-famous "old money" Baccarat Rouge 540-inspired body wash. I am a massive fan of both — the moisturizing clean is so fresh, and the scents are so DELIGHTFULLY luscious without overpowering — but trust me when I say that Wild Iris Musk is *the* warm weather scent. It's floral, soft, playful, and grounded all at once. (And yes, just like the original version, it smells ... expensive 👀.) A set of hair-tie bracelets designed to look like *actual* jewelry, so you won't be kicking yourself when you realize you left a hair tie on your wrist for every photo. A pack of instant cold-stirred foam caramel iced lattes so you can get all that delicious, decadent ~froth~ you love so much right from the comfort of your own home. Considering the price of a fancy bev these days, this is a STEAL at a buck per drink. A "Birthday Cake Stick" lip balm that earned its place as a cult-fave — not only is this super nourishing on your lips, but it tastes like vanilla cake, buttercream icing, and rainbow sprinkles, so now you can have your cake and moisturize with it, too. A set of reusable rainbow poopy "water balloon," a set of environmentally-friendly splash toys that prove poop really can save the world. Magnets keep the balloons closed, so all you have to do to refill is dunk them in a safe water source and snap the shut again. Let the (kinda gross, but still cute) games begin!! An affordable sleeveless exercise romper you will be SO glad you bought on days when the sun is trying to bake you like cookie dough. These are medium-compressive, soft, breezy, and SUPER easy to throw on when your brain is too fried to match a top and a bottom in the heat. Bonus — these are comparable to Aerie, Abercrombie, and Hollister versions that can go for three times this price! Dove Brown Sugar and Coconut Butter Body Scrub designed to be oh-so-gentle on your skin, with a softer texture that isn't as coarse as other brands but leaves you fully exfoliated and smooth. Plus there's the added bonus of smelling so yummy that you'll be like, "Oooh, should I take a bite out of my own self?" A four-pack of silicone straw soda can lids that are like, "Oh, you're obsessed with Diet Coke? Let me find you a reason to be even MORE obsessed." Reviewers love these not just for the ~thrill~ of a straw, but because the covers make the cans a whole lot more spill-proof, prevent your drink from going flat, and protect your can from bugs and debris during outdoor hangs. A waterproof, super lightweight JBL Go 3 speaker so you can impress your friends not just with your excellent playlist curation skills, but the ridiculous sound quality that comes out of this tiny gizmo. Reef Water platform sandals, aka the ultimate in cute, comfortable, and water-friendly sandals that will be the "go-to" shoe of your summer. These don't have a break-in period, can be dressed up or down, and have a cheeky little platform to them so you can cosplay as someone an inch taller than you usually are. Liquid I.V. electrolyte drink mix, so you have extra incentive to hit your hydration goals on blazing hot trips *and* you can relive the glory of chasing down the ice cream truck as a kid. Reviewers are genuinely stunned by how much this tastes like the ~real thing~. Patchology's Serve Chilled Rosé Hydrating Under Eye Patches for a little bit of extra ✨glamour✨ to your self-care routine — these are hyaluronic acid and antioxidant-infused to help with dark circles, puffiness, and fine lines, so you can take them off feeling every bit as refreshed as a crisp glass of rosé feels. An affordable, Lululemon-esque longline sports bra so comfy, supportive, and versatile that reviewers love it both for outdoor workouts, gym use, *and* errand running. This is designed to be supportive without being too compressive, with lightweight fabric that keeps you breezy in the heat. A roll-up wide brim UPF 50 sun hat to protect your cheeks from the sun's rays *and* keep you looking effortlessly chic no matter how many days it's been since your last hair wash. This one is a real winner because of how absurdly packable it is, making it perfect for shoving into a tote bag on long days and a suitcase on vacation — and how affordable it is compared to $87+ versions from brands like Bloomingdale's, Wallaroo, and Cuyana. A little rose-shaped straw topper for your emotional support water bottle so you can remind yourself everything's (literally) coming up roses every time you pluck it off to take a sip. This is an excellent way to keep your straw safe from germs in between sips! Also, bonus points for being absolutely adorable. A Lululemon-esque adjustable mini belted pack (aka ~fanny pack~) you can wear around your waist or shoulder for a lightweight bag alternative that you won't lose, since it is literally attached to you. A lot of reviewers mention how genuinely *stunned* they are by how much this little bag can secretly carry. Unlike other sanitizer sprays, it's infused with aloe vera to keep your skin hydrated and has the most luxurious floral scents. An adorable, clear waterproof sunscreen bag to keep your various SPFs for easy access when you need to protect yourself from the sun's shenanigans, and to keep the rest of your stuff safe if one of your sunscreen bottles decides to go ~kaboom~. (Psst — these have the same vibe as the beloved Stoney Clover cosmetic bags that start at $68!) A wildly popular floral print sheer cover up for the perfect finishing touch to all your spring and summer outfits that won't make you swelter in the heat. Reviewers especially love how easily this packs (and photographs!!) for travel.
