استدعاء فولكس فاجن ID.4 وأودي Q4 بسبب عيب خطير

El Balad17-03-2025

Just had the director email me about what he has done (why is it always after the event?)
Anyway, his company could not get finance to buy a car, so he bought it himself and wants it to be treated as a company asset, with the company paying the finance costs etc.
As far as I am aware he cannot transfer ownership, if it is under a finance agreement, so my only way around this would be if it were minuted that the sole reason for this procedure was a commercial decision to go down this route as the only way to purchase the car, that the company accepts full responsibility for insuring it, paying running costs and filing P11d for the director, but still not sure this would work.
Appreciate anyone's thoughts.

Junk Smash Burgers Flips Into the UAE at Dubai's 25 Jump Street

Dubai's about to get grilled as France's Junk Smash Burgers brings its juicy, no-fuss burger game to 25 Jump Street. May 30, 2025 Junk Smash Burgers, the French brand that's been stacking praise across Europe, is ready to meat Dubai. Known for its gloriously messy, smash-grilled burgers, the eatery is firing up its first UAE branch at 25 Jump Street, next to 25hours Hotel Dubai One Central. Brought to the UAE by Icon Hospitality—the same crew that helped London's EL&N café set up shop in the region—Junk Smash Burgers promises no fluff, just fire-grilled flavour. Their recipe for success? Prime Charolais and Limousin beef, buttery French brioche buns, melty cheese, and sauces that make you say 'Tres bien'. Customise your burger from a modest single to an XXL tower o' power, stacking up to five patties if you're feeling bold. Crispy fries are served on the side, and you can wing it with Panko Chicken Bites if you're not in the beef mood. While the exact launch date is still medium rare, burger buffs can expect more info to sizzle out soon via Junk Smash Burgers' official channels.

Rainforest Camping Returns to The Green Planet Dubai This Summer

Rainforest sleepovers are back at The Green Planet Dubai from May 30th to November 1st, with guided tours, animal encounters, and overnight tents inside the tropical biodome. May 30, 2025 A tropical getaway in the UAE? Where else? The Green Planet, Dubai's lush indoor biodome, is bringing back its popular 'Camping in the Rainforest' experience this summer. From May 30th to November 1st, guests can spend the night surrounded by waterfalls, thick tropical greenery, and over 3,000 species of plants and animals — all inside the City Walk attraction. Running every Friday and Saturday night, the camp kicks off at 7:00 PM and wraps up by 8:00 AM the next morning. Guests can explore the rainforest by torchlight, with expert guides pointing out the nocturnal rhythms of the ecosystem — think fluttering bats, rustling leaves, and animals settling into their nighttime routines. The experience includes animal encounters, hands-on nature activities, and a torch-lit tour of the biodome. There's a buffet dinner, marshmallow roasting, and a nature documentary screening before campers head to their tents nestled among the trees. The morning wraps up with breakfast at The Green Planet Café and optional feeding sessions with some of the animals. The overnight camp is limited to 25 people per night, priced at AED 900 for two or AED 1,700 for four. Bookings are available through The Green Planet's official website. The camping experience is part of The Green Planet's broader educational programmes, designed to build awareness around biodiversity and environmental conservation by giving families a chance to connect with nature — without leaving the city. Regular daytime visits to The Green Planet will continue as usual throughout the summer.
