MPBSE 10th Result 2025 Topper List: Pragya Jaiswal from Singrauli tops MP Board Class 10 board with 100% marks
The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has declared the Class 10 board exam results. It has also declared the names of the toppers with their marks. As per the official data, Pragya Jaiswal of Singrauli has topped the MPBSE Class 10 board exams with 100 per cent marks. Pragya Jaiswal has scored full 500 marks out of 500.
Ayush Dwivedi from Rewa has been ranked second with 499 marks out of 500. Shejah Fatima from Jabalpur ranked third with 498 marks.
The High School Certificate (HSC) examination was conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Madhya Pradesh between 27 February to 21 March and the MPBSE Class 10 result was declared today on May 6.
This year, 76.22 per cent regular candidates and 28.70 per cent self-study candidates have passed the high school examination. As per the official release, 73.21 per cent regular boys and 79.27 per cent regular girls have passed.
Of the total students who appeared for MPBSE Class 10 exams, '429,042 candidates passed in first division, 182,172 in second division and 2,200 in third division.'
'Thus a total of 613,414 candidates have passed in the examination, whose result is 76.22 per cent. This year among the regular candidates, girl students have outshone boys. Result of passed students 73.21 per cent,' it said. TNEA online registration portal to close at midnight on June 6
The online portal for the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2025 will close for registration and fee payment at midnight on Friday. However, candidates who have already paid the fees could upload their certificates till Monday (June 9, 2025). A press release from Higher Education Minister Govi Chezhiaan said 2,98,425 candidates had registered on the portal, with 2,44,168 (1,33,805 boys and 1,10,363 girls) paying the registration fees as on 1 a.m. on Friday. The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) 2025, for admission to course, will be held in the final week of June and, hence, candidates can register via the TNEA portal and pay the registration fees till June 30. The release added that dates for the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) supplementary counselling would be announced as soon as the supplementary exam results were declared.

SC refuses to grant relief to journalists alleging police assault over reporting on illegal sand mining in MP's Bhind
New Delhi [India], June 4 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Wednesday issued notice to the Madhya Pradesh and Delhi governments seeking their responses to a plea filed by two MP-based journalists who were allegedly assaulted by Bhind police over their reporting on illegal sand mining. A bench of Justices Sanjay Karol and Satish Chandra Sharma, however, refused to grant any interim relief to the journalists, noting that the Court was completely unaware about the offences that may have been committed by the journalists and a response from the State authorities in this regard was necessary. 'Because you're the fourth pillar, we're telling you. We will issue a notice and list it on Monday. Let the other side respond. We are not aware (about the case)', the bench noted before issuing notice to the aforesaid state respondents in the case. The top court also raised doubts over the allegation that there was a threat to the lives of the journalists, as had been stated by the counsel appearing for the duo. 'Suppose you're arrested for murder? What do we do? We don't know Madam? Can we grant a blanket Protection that if you (may) commit a crime against the nation? This phantom of a story you created the other day, unfortunately, it is not being reflected in the writ petition? From the writ petition, could you tell us where the threat to your life is?' the Court asked the counsel representing the petitioners. Further, the Court also took a dim view of the fact that certain allegations had been made against an IPS officer in connection with the alleged assault on the journalists without affording him an opportunity to explain the matter. 'You have made Mr Yadav (Superintendent of Police) a party. Saying all kinds of things about an IPS officer. You didn't even give him a chance to explain', the Court said. The journalists had moved to the top court seeking interim protection for their lives. They have alleged that their lives are under threat since they reported on illegal sand mining going on in the Chambal region of Madhya Pradesh. As per their plea, they had been abducted, assaulted and were subjected to casteist slurs by the Bhind police. After hearing the counsel, the Court listed the matter to be heard next on Monday. (ANI)

Over 2200 students register for Class 10 & 12 MP board first-ever second attempt exams
Indore: Over 2200 students have registered for a second round of Class 10 and 12 examinations to be conducted by Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE). According to official data, out of over 3000 students, who failed in MP Board exams this year from Indore's govt schools, more than 2,255 students have registered for the second attempt. Specifically, from govt schools in the city, 980 of the 1,545 students who failed Class 10 and 1,275 of the 1,548 students who failed Class 12 applied for the second round. The MPBSE will, for the first time, conduct a second round of Class 10 and 12 board examinations in the same academic year. The exams are scheduled to begin on June 17 and continue until July 5, covering all subjects for both classes. Applications for students, who passed the main board exams were accepted until May 25, while students who failed have time until May 31 to register for the second attempt. "This year, the board discontinued the system of compartment exams. Instead, students will now appear for a second full attempt. Many applied not only because they failed but also because they want to improve their marks," said ADPC Narendra Jain. The move follows a regulatory amendment made under the MPBSE Regulations, 1965, with the official notification issued earlier this month.
