It happened over the weekend at The Connection, near W. 31st Street and Ousdahl Road. A woman who lives at The Connection tells FOX4 she woke up to gunfire and heard more than a dozen rounds right outside her apartment. 'It's very kind of unnerving to know that it actually happened within this gated community,' Helenna Shcherbinin said, who also lives at the apartment complex, said. Lawrence police are asking for help in finding the person who fired a gun outside the apartments. Police said it happened just after 12:30 a.m. Detective Evan Curtis said there were dozens of people at a party at the apartment complex. Witnesses told officers after a fight inside an apartment unit, people moved outside to the parking lot and continued the argument. That's when someone pulled a gun. 'At some point, out in the parking lot area, one of the possibly involved subjects pulled a firearm and starting firing back at the apartment complex,' Curtis said. Officers found more than a dozen shell casings. Police said nobody was hurt, however gunfire hit at least one vehicle. 'With the large amount of people at the party and outside, it was a very high likelihood that somebody could've been hit or killed,' Curtis said. 'Luckily at this time, we only note there was only a car that was struck, and no individuals.' Taylor Swift Gets Restraining Order For Alleged Stalker

Hot Topic 🔥 Full coverage and conversation on Taylor Swift Taylor Swift was granted a temporary restraining order Monday against Brian Jason Wagner, a 45-year-old Colorado man who has allegedly visited her home several times and claimed she is the mother of his child, per court documents reviewed by Billboard. The order was signed by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Debra R. Archuleta and reportedly requires Wagner to stay at least 100 yards away from Swift and her home. It is set to expire with a June 30 hearing about a potentially more permanent restraining order. Swift wrote in her petition Friday that Wagner first visited her Los Angeles residence on July 9, 2024, and returned at least twice that month. The Grammy winner further noted that she doesn't publicly share her address and never gave it to Wagner. 'Therefore, the fact that Mr. Wagner has determined where I reside and visited the property several times, refusing to leave and claiming to need access, makes me fear for my safety and the safety of my family,' she wrote in the petition reviewed by Billboard. Swift said he once arrived 'carrying a glass bottle that could have been used as a weapon.' 'During each of these visits, I am informed that Mr. Wagner made various statements about living at my property (not true), being in a relationship with me (not true), believing I am the mother of his son (not true), and needing to see me in person,' she added in her filing. Swift's legal proceedings were only launched after two more visits from Wagner last month, however, when her staff ran a background check and learned he had a criminal record and had claimed in 'lengthy communications' from jail that he was in a relationship with Swift. Wagner allegedly even illegally obtained a California driver's license listing Swift's address as his own. The singer, who unfortunately has a lot of experience with stalkers, described his claims as 'disconnected from reality' in her filing. In 2017, 29-year-old Mohammed Jaffar entered Swift's apartment building in New York City after harassing her management company, fawning over Swift on social media and describing her security guard as a 'gatekeeper,' The Guardian reported at the time. In 2018, 22-year-old Roger Alvarado broke in and used her shower before taking a nap in Swift's bed. Later that year, another man reportedly traveled more than 1,000 miles to her Los Angeles home with ammunition, a knife, rope and gloves in his car. Swift has used facial-recognition technology to identify potential stalkers at her concerts. The singer, who recently triumphed in a yearslong fight to reclaim the rights to her first six albums, wrapped her Eras Tour in December. The effort became the highest-grossing tour of all time, and the first to earn more than $1 billion — and $2 billion — in revenue.

Taylor Swift Is Living in ‘Fear' of Alleged Stalker, Files Restraining Order

Taylor Swift took legal action against an alleged stalker, getting a restraining order after living in 'fear' of possible danger. On June 6, the pop singer filed for a temporary restraining order against a man who repeatedly visited her home over the year and insisted they share a personal connection. The Los Angeles Superior Court granted Swift the protective order on Monday. USA Today reviewed the court documents, which revealed the individual to be Brian Jason Wagner from Colorado. In the filings, she also raised concerns about her safety. USA Today shared key details from Taylor Swift's restraining order filing against her alleged stalker. Reportedly, the individual in question, Brian Jason Wagner, visited her house several times over a year, with the first instance dating back to July 9, 2024. He then returned twice that same month. More recently, Wagner made two consecutive appearances on May 21 and May 22, and asked to see Swift 'personally' after 'stating that he was there checking on a friend (again, this is entirely untrue).' In her petition to the court, the Grammy winner revealed that she had been living in 'a fear of imminent harm.' She alleged that Wagner repeatedly visited her house and engaged in 'concerning and threatening' conversations with her staff, prompting her to file for the protective order. Swift further mentioned that she has never 'publicly' revealed the location of her Los Angeles home or address. Therefore, Wagner's repeated visits, refusal to leave, and claims of needing access make her 'fear for my safety and the safety of my family.' Taylor Swift's alleged stalker also made false claims about sharing a personal relationship and a son with her. Moreover, the restraining order filings stated that Wagner made disturbing statements during his visits. These falsified comments included claims about 'living' at her LA property, sharing a 'relationship' with her, and 'believing' she was his son's mother. Swift called these 'untrue and disconnected from reality.' Her claims also mentioned the staff receiving hundreds of emails from him. Swift's restraining order ensures her safety and prohibits Wagner from 'harassing, stalking, assaulting, or disturbing' her. Additionally, it prevents him from communicating or coming within 100 yards of the pop star, her home, her vehicle, and her workplace. The order will remain effective through the court hearing on June 30. The post Taylor Swift Is Living in 'Fear' of Alleged Stalker, Files Restraining Order appeared first on Reality Tea.
