Three Black Female Lawyers Diddy Could Be Eyeing To Help Him During Federal Trial
Sean 'Diddy' Combs has something up his sleeve with only three weeks until his trial begins. At seemingly the 11th hour, Combs' is trying to change his legal team in a major way. And with May 12 right around the corner, this move could prove vital to his defense strategy.
The disgraced mogul is looking to add a Black female attorney to his roster. Sources told TMZ Diddy is on the hunt for a Black woman to join his current defense team, made up of attorneys Marc Agnifilo and Teny Geragos. As we previously reported, Anthony L. Ricco, the Black man who was previously on Combs' federal case, quit back in February, saying 'under no circumstances can I continue to effectively serve as counsel for Sean Combs.'
Diddy battling racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution charges on top of his dozens of other civil lawsuits filed by alleged victims. So in light of this new attempt to diversify his legal team, here's three Black women he could be eyeing for the job.
Diddy's array of legal woes could make any attorney turn down the high profile gig, but lawyers like Monique Pressley have past experiences that make them stand out. Pressely represented Bill Cosby during the early stages of the now 87-year-old's sexual assault case. She did, however, quit his case in 2016, according to Deadline.
A key part of Diddy's defense rest on the basis of race. He claims because he's a successful Black man, he was targeted with the charges against him, according to ABC News. This is similar to Cosby who's defense claimed the prosecution was racially bias against him, ABC also reported.
If her name looks familiar, then you might have seen attorney Faith Jenkins on TV. She was previously the presiding judge on 'Divorce Court,' the reality show where couples seeking divorce present their cases and get a ruling from a judge.
Outside of her well-known name and impressive TV career, Jenkins has worked on major felony cases in New York City, where Combs is being tried. Although she used to be a prosecutor and not a defense attorney, Jenkins has the experience and the high profile name to add to Diddy's team.
Tamara Giwa is a dominant figure in the criminal defense world. In the past, she's represented clients like Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, one of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombers. Giwa also represented Michael Avenatti, who was sentenced to 14 years for stealing millions from his former clients, according to CNN.
She is also the first Black woman to lead the Federal Defenders of New York, an organization based in New York City. This and her experience with high profile cases makes Giwa a well-respected a defense attorney, and a clear addition to Combs' team if she took on the job.
Diddy's trial date is looming with jury selection starting on May 5 and opening statements happening one week later. Combs' lawyers, Agnifilo and Geragos, have asked the judge to delay the trial for at least two weeks.

Manhunt continues for Minnesota shooting suspect Vance Boelter
Around 24 hours after police say a gunman killed a Minnesota state lawmaker and her husband, plus wounded another lawmaker and his wife, suspect Vance Boelter remains on the run, authorities have said. The shootings began around 2 a.m. Saturday, when Minnesota State Sen. John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, were both shot multiple times at their home in Champlin, Minnesota, authorities said. Soon after, State Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, were shot and killed at their home in Brooklyn Park. Police encountered the gunman leaving Hortman's house at around 3:35 a.m., the officers heading there to check on the lawmaker after responding to the earlier shooting at Hoffman's home. The suspect exchanged gunfire with police and was able to escape and flee on foot, authorities said. The FBI is "using every available resource to locate Vance Boelter," FBI Minneapolis Special Agent in Charge Alvin M. Winston Sr. said in a statement. The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to Boelter's arrest. The 57-year-old suspect is alleged to have gained access to the victim's homes while posing as a police officer. Police believe that when the shooter opened fire, he was wearing a latex mask that looked realistic, sources said. Boelter -- a husband and father, according to an online biography -- has touted an extensive background in security and military training, according to an ABC News review of his online presence and professional history. Boelter helped lead the private security firm Praetorian Guard Security Services, which is based in the Twin Cities area, according to the company website. Dozens of Minnesota Democrats were on a target list written by the gunman, according to law enforcement sources. Those on the list included Gov. Tim Walz, U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar, U.S. Sen. Tina Smith and state Attorney General Keith Ellison, according to law enforcement sources familiar with the matter. Police said the list -- which was retrieved from the suspect's vehicle, which looked like a police vehicle and had police lights -- also named Hortman and Hoffman. Both victims are Democrats and Hortman was formerly the Speaker of the Minnesota House of Representatives. The shooter's list of potential targets also included the names of abortion providers and pro-choice activists, several sources told ABC News. Many of the Democratic lawmakers on the list have been outspoken about pro-choice policy positions, two sources said.

Trace Cyrus' Latest Victims Are Megan Fox's Sons In Homophobic Rant Targeted At Rival MGK
is at it again, and this time is crossing boundaries to publicly attack 's kids. The artist, in an online outburst, expressed displeasure that the music industry favored over him. During the tirade, Fox's sons were caught in the crossfire. Trace has been on a negative roll lately, publicly calling out both his father and ex-girlfriend in a matter of days. The saga played out on Trace's Instagram Stories on Thursday, June 13, when he spewed a series of offensive anti-gay comments in a bid to tell his truth. "If I didn't speak this way, and I wasn't as masculine as I am," the shirtless Metro Station artist began. "If I f-cking painted my nails and dressed all f-cking homosexual like a lot of these artists — you know who I'm talking about — I'd have a record deal." Pushing the narrative that he was overlooked, Trace claimed he is a better songwriter than "all these motherf-ckers out there." Describing himself as "unique," the 36-year-old urged critics not to compare him to those whom he has been around longer than. "They all jacked my f-cking style. So f-ck off with that shit," he slammed. Although the Cyrus sibling initially tried to be subtle with his jab, he later threw all caution to the wind and began naming MGK. He slammed his rival, referencing MGK's previous record deal with disgraced rapper Diddy. The "Emo Girl" artist was signed to Diddy's record label from 2012 to 2022. The Bad Boys Records founder is currently on trial for sex trafficking and racketeering charges. Per BuzzFeed, Trace said: "Don't you guys find it odd that Diddy is known for being the president of Bad Boy Records, and nobody he's signed in like the past f-cking 10 years I've heard of except for one guy: MGK." He then slammed the record deal as "ridiculous," insinuating both parties were fraudulent. Trace then attacked the rapper's former fiancée, Fox, and her three sons, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Brian Austin Green. He accused the minors of being transgender. The rant criticized the way the "Jennifer's Body" star raises her sons, Noah Shannon, 12, Bodhi Ransom, 11, and Journey River, 8, allowing them to wear dresses and keep their hair long. Alongside the three boys, Fox also shares a daughter with MGK, welcomed in March 2025. "And what did he do after he signed to Diddy? He got with a girl who has three trans children," Trace said. "They're all trans, somehow. Is it three or four? Three or of her kids are trans." Concluding his tirade, the "Typical Suspect" artist sarcastically congratulated MGK for choosing to raise a kid with Fox. "That's the woman that he thought was the best woman that he should be with," he mocked. "That's going to be a great mother for my future child. You're very smart, brother. Great job." Trace's offensive NSFW rant comes just a day after he blasted his ex-girlfriend, Brenda Song, revealing unflattering details of their relationship. As The Blast reported, he alleged that the actress "stole thousands of dollars" and "faked multiple pregnancies" during their seven-year romance. He further wrote that "Suite Life of Zack and Cody" star lied about a terminal illness, providing a false breast cancer and brain tumor diagnosis to his family. Among his many accusations against the actress, Trace claimed Song "faked an abortion with fake blood covering the bathroom floor." Although he provided no proof, he claimed her alleged actions stem from "how f–ked in the head child stars are." Days before the outburst, Trace publicly slammed his father, Billy Ray Cyrus, for prioritizing fame over his family. Calling the "Old Town Road" artist "pathetic," the 36-year-old slammed the country artist for missing his maternal grandmother's funeral in Los Angeles despite going to Italy with his new girlfriend, Elizabeth Hurley. "This man is so hungry for fame it's pathetic," Trace wrote on social media, alleging that the patriarch received a $60K private jet offer. "You're the lamest man to ever walk planet earth," he slammed. "The best thing to come from your downfall is it made me go into beast mode. I refuse to be a washed-up, delusional, evil person when I'm old like you."
