CATLINK Unveils Scooper Pro Ultra: World's First AI-Powered Litter Box with Camera and Health Monitoring
Modern cat owners often find routine pet care tasks: scooping waste, managing odors and monitoring health—wearisome. The CATLINK Scooper Pro Ultra is a new self-cleaning litter box designed to address these chores with technology. It includes an integrated 1080p HD camera with two-way audio, enabling owners to watch or speak to their cats remotely. The device connects via home Wi-Fi on either 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz bands for reliable coverage. It can handle multi-cat households (up to five cats) by using its camera to distinguish between pets, rather than relying on weight sensors. In practice, that means each cat can develop its own usage profile and history.
Smart Monitoring and Connectivity
The Ultra's camera and app integration let owners stay connected to their pets. The camera provides live or recorded video feeds inside the drum, and the two-way speaker allows an owner to soothe an anxious cat (or even shoo off a dog) from afar. The CATLINK mobile app can start cleaning cycles and displays real-time camera images, litter levels and system status. It reports when the waste drawer is nearly full or a refill is needed. For example, a user away on business could watch the 24/7 live stream to confirm that their kitten is eating and using the box normally. Since the Ultra supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi (most routers have both), it maintains a stable connection even in homes with separate network bands.
Multi-Cat Tracking and Health Monitoring
In multi-cat homes, keeping track of each pet's habits and health can be tricky. Unlike many automatic boxes that identify cats only by weight, the Ultra uses its video camera to log each user. The app 'tracks each cat's litter box habits, providing long-term health insights and instant alerts for any potential issues'. In other words, each of up to five cats can be profiled separately. The R&D recommends up to five cats to ensure hygiene and accuracy. The system records usage statistics – frequency, duration, and even temperature/humidity readings. If one cat begins visiting the box significantly more often (a possible indicator of urinary trouble) or if the camera detects blood in the urine, the Ultra will flag the anomaly. Owners can then share the footage or data with a veterinarian. In one scenario, an owner noticed the app logging unusually frequent, brief visits by an elderly cat. Acting on an alert, they took the cat to the vet and caught early-stage kidney disease before it became more serious. In effect, the Scooper Pro Ultra turns a litter box into a preventive health monitor: weekly reports per cat arrive on the owner's phone, potentially catching issues like stress or illness before visible symptoms emerge.
Odor Control and Hygiene
CATLINK emphasizes a '4-stage' odor-elimination system, tested to remove 98.55% of litterbox smells. In practice, this system uses multiple layers of defense. The Ultra's components include:
• Odor-neutralizing cartridge (active-oxygen deodorizer): A replaceable module that emits safe oxidizing gases to neutralize ammonia and hydrogen-sulfide (the main sources of litter odor). Each cartridge lasts about 30 days.
• UV sterilization: Built-in UVA and UVC light sources inside the drum kill bacteria and viruses on waste, preventing microbial growth and associated smells.
• Activated-carbon filter: A high-density carbon filter fits inside the waste drawer, trapping odors at the source before they spread. It also lasts about 30 days of continuous use.
• Sealed waste bag: The waste bin uses a thick, leak-proof HDPE trash bag to contain all waste. The heavy-duty bag prevents any escaping odor or liquid leaks.
Together, these layers work in concert. The manufacturer reports independent lab testing showing the Ultra's odor control achieves 98.55% efficiency. In daily use, owners report that even after many days of collected waste, the home remains largely odor-free. The 13-liter waste drawer itself can hold roughly two weeks of an adult cat's waste before needing emptying. This multi-layer system—UV light, active-oxygen, carbon filtering and secure containment—gives reassurance that the litter box will not overwhelm the home with smell.
Design, Comfort and Safety
The Scooper Pro Ultra also attends to everyday comfort and safety. Its design provides roughly 65–70 liters of interior space, meaning even large cats have room to turn around comfortably. The motor runs at a low 40 dB noise level, about as quiet as a library, so cleaning cycles are unlikely to startle pets (or their owners) at night. For additional ease, the box has an anti-tracking entrance step so small kittens or older cats can enter and exit without difficulty. If a cat were to start digging at the entrance, the Ultra's step and sensors help keep the litter inside.
Safety is built in: multiple sensors (including radar motion detection, weight/gravity sensors and anti-pinch switches) monitor the drum's status. The system will pause immediately if it detects a cat inside or any obstruction. This prevents accidents during the automatic scooping. A special 'Soft Stool' cleaning mode (configurable via the app) can cover fresh waste for 10–30 minutes before cleaning, allowing particularly soft stools to firm up and reducing mess. The top panel buttons and app also let the user disable features (for example, turning off the camera if privacy is needed). For nighttime visits, the Ultra offers a soft ambient LED light inside the drum. Owners can set the low glow to come on when a cat approaches, ensuring a gentle welcome instead of harsh darkness. Finally, accessories like a silicone litter mat and a long cleaning brush come with the system to make maintenance straightforward.
Altogether, the Ultra brings typical household convenience features: a quiet, stable operation; easy access for cats of all sizes; and robust built-in safety. As one 29-year-old cat parent noted, these details 'make all the difference in day-to-day life,' turning a chore into a background process.
In summary, the CATLINK Scooper Pro Ultra packages advanced technology into a polished, pet-friendly design. Its performance is backed by data, independent testing of odor removal shows the 98.55% rate, and the company supports it with generous terms (free app, a one-year warranty and a 90-day return). By translating features into real-world benefits – from quiet night-time cleaning to early health warnings – it reflects a vision of using precise data to promote both cat welfare and owner peace of mind.

GameStop's Earnings Could Surprise the Market
GameStop Corp. (GME) will release Q1 earnings after the market closes on Tuesday, June 10. Its recent purchase of Bitcoin, which may continue, could push earnings per share (EPS) higher than analysts' expectations. GME stock is cheap here. GME closed at $29.58 on Friday, June 6. I previously wrote about GME's value in a June 1 article, ' GameStop's Bitcoin Purchase and Potential Debt Conversion Increases GME's Value.' I showed in that article how GME could be worth almost $40.00 per share with a Sum-of-the-Parts (SOTP) valuation method. However, if earnings from its Bitcoin purchases are included, we can also value the stock on a P/E basis. Bitcoin Gains GameStop announced on May 28 that it had purchased 4,710 Bitcoin. There was no date given when these were purchased. So, at today's price of $106,000 from Coinbase, these digital assets are worth almost $500 million: 4,710 BTC x $106,000 = $499,260 On March 25, GameStop announced that its board had authorized the company to add Bitcoin as a treasury reserve asset. During Q1, BTC ranged from $93,400 to $82,551. But from March 25 to March 31, BTC traded in a range of $87,500 to $82,551, or about $85,000. So, let's assume GameStop purchased less than half of their 4,710 BTC assets during that period, or 2,000 Bitcoin. That means they may have spent on average $170 million: 2,000 BTC x $87,000 = $170 million So, GameStop's unrealized gain on these digital assets is now $42 million: 2,000 BTC x ($106,000 - $85,000) = 2,000 x $21,000 = $42 million If the company bought more of these assets in Q2 with an average all-in cost of say $90,000, its average unrealized gains are: $106,000 - $90,000 = $16,000 x 4,710 = $75.3 million Bitcoin Gains/Losses Now Reported in Income Based on a FASB rule (ASU 2023-08) that went into effect starting in 2025 (see Deloitte's ' FASB Issues Final Standard on Crypto Assets '), companies now report unrealized gains and losses in income during each reporting period. As a result, let's estimate how this might affect GameStop's Q1 earnings per share. For example, if its average cost was $85,000 and the ending price was $82,551, it would have an unrealized loss in Q1: 2,000 BTC x ($85,000 - $82,551) = 2,000 x -$2,449 = -$4.898 million Based on 447.1 million shares outstanding, this is a negligible effect: -$4.898 million / 447.1 m = -0.01 earnings per share But for Q2, the effect is larger. So far, the price of BTC is up by $23,449 (i.e., $106,000-$82,551), so based on an estimated average cost of $93,000 in Q2, the gain is much higher: $13,000 (i.e., $106,000 - $93,000) x 2,710 = $35.2 million I only used 2,710, since I assumed that the company bought just 2,000 BTC during Q1, and the remainder of 2,710 during Q2. If it bought more in Q2, the effect will be higher on its earnings per share. Moreover, the unrealized gain of the original 2,000 BTC will also increase Q2 EPS: 2,000 x ($106,000-$85,000 = $21,000) = $42 million As a result, GameStop could report a total of $75.2 million in unrealized gains in earnings per share during Q2. That will have a much higher effect on earnings per share: $75.2m / 447.1 million shares = 0.1682 = 17 cents per share That means its EPS will be 17 cents higher than expected. This could be either in Q1 or Q2 (or a mixture of both). Target Price Analysts now project only 4 cents per share for Q1. So, this could be a huge surprise for the market. Moreover, analysts are expecting just $0.46 EPS for 2026. If we add 17 cents to this, its annual EPS will be 63 cents. And, assuming that BTC continues to make an average of 10 cents per quarter (assuming further Bitcoin purchases and BTC keeps rising), its annual EPS could hit at least $1.00 per share over the next 12 months (NTM). As a result, its forward NTM P/E is low: $29.58 / $1.00 forward EPS = 29.6x multiple Analysts have not been properly following GME stock. Once they incorporate GameStop's higher EPS from Bitcoin purchases, investors may expect to see GME rise from here.

Better Buy: Palantir Stock vs. UnitedHealth Group Stock
Two stocks that have been at the center of financial news stories throughout the year are data mining specialist Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ: PLTR) and health insurance giant UnitedHealth Group (NYSE: UNH). The reasons these two companies are fetching so much attention, however, couldn't be more opposite. Where to invest $1,000 right now? Our analyst team just revealed what they believe are the 10 best stocks to buy right now. Continue » Palantir has emerged as a darling of the artificial intelligence (AI) revolution. As of this writing (June 5), shares of the stock have gained nearly 60% on the year -- making it one of the top performers in the S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 indexes. By contrast, UnitedHealth Group stock is the worst-performing name in the Dow Jones Industrial Average -- with shares plummeting by more than 40%. Is now the time to hop on the Palantir train, or should investors take an inventory check on UnitedHealth and choose to buy the dip? Palantir is on a run for the ages It's been just over two years since Palantir released its Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP), a software suite that's proven to be a transformative game changer in the company's pursuit of competing with the largest players in the tech landscape. PLTR Revenue (Quarterly) data by YCharts Since releasing AIP, Palantir has unlocked a new wave of revenue acceleration -- thanks in large part to the company's impressive penetration of the private sector. For most of its history, Palantir relied heavily on government contracts from the Department of Defense (DOD). While deals with the U.S. Military and its allies are still an important cornerstone of Palantir's business, AIP has helped the company break ground in a host of other use cases -- financial fraud, supply chain and logistics, aviation, and much more. What might be most impressive about Palantir's transformation over the last two years is how rapidly the company transitioned from a cash-burning operation to one that generates consistent profitability. Not only is Palantir acquiring new business, but it's also monetizing these customers in a profitable way. That's a lucrative combination, indeed. The one idea that's paramount for smart investors to understand is that while Palantir's business is soaring, so is the company's share price. As of this writing, Palantir trades at a price-to-sales (P/S) ratio of 97. Not only is that magnitudes higher than any of its peers in the software realm, but it is historically high compared to what investors witnessed during the dot-com bubble in the late 1990s. I don't think I'm the only one who has noticed the pronounced valuation expansion in Palantir, either. Consider that Cathie Wood's Ark Invest portfolio has been trimming Palantir stock as of late, and billionaire money manager Stanley Druckenmiller completely dumped his firm's stake in the AI stock during the first quarter. UnitedHealth Group can't seem to get out of its own way UnitedHealth Group's coverage couldn't be any more different than Palantir's. While investors continue to cheer on Palantir's dominance, it seems that only negativity surrounds UnitedHealth at the moment. At the core of the health insurer's problems are some operational hiccups. Mismanagement in forecasting utilization rates in the company's Medicare Advantage business, as well as some unforeseen challenges in the pharmacy benefits management (PBM) segment, caused management to reduce financial guidance for 2025. If this weren't enough to get investors worked up, UnitedHealth also replaced its CEO as the company seeks to right the ship and turn things around by next year. UnitedHealth's downward revision and executive changes were met with a stock sell-off for the ages. Don't believe me? As of this writing, shares of UnitedHealth trade at $296 -- hovering near a five-year low. Which stock is the better buy? Despite its near-term headwinds, UnitedHealth stock looks awfully tempting at a forward price-to-earnings (P/E) multiple of just 13. When you consider that insiders have been buying the stock in the aftermath of this epic sell-off, I'm cautiously optimistic that all of the bad news surrounding UnitedHealth is priced in. UNH PE Ratio (Forward) data by YCharts On the other side of the equation, I think it's becoming increasingly difficult to argue that max upside isn't already priced into Palantir. Sure, I'm bullish on the company's future, but buying the stock near an all-time high doesn't seem like a prudent idea right now. Overall, I'd choose to buy the dip in UnitedHealth as opposed to chasing the momentum fueling Palantir stock at the moment. Should you invest $1,000 in Palantir Technologies right now? Before you buy stock in Palantir Technologies, consider this: The Motley Fool Stock Advisor analyst team just identified what they believe are the 10 best stocks for investors to buy now… and Palantir Technologies wasn't one of them. Finally, Some Good News for Tesla Investors
Tesla 's (NASDAQ: TSLA) challenges have been numerous in 2025, and investors can be forgiven for wanting to take a mulligan and perhaps redo the past six months. The electric vehicle (EV) maker is facing sales declines in key markets, backlash from consumers due to CEO Elon Musk's political antics, and another massive price cut from BYD in China, among other headwinds. Finally, some good news for Tesla investors to chew on: driverless vehicle testing and Musk's political exit. Robotaxi testing Tesla might really be doing this whole robotaxi thing, after years of overpromising on its strategy to eventually derive most of the company's value through its Robotaxi ambitions. In fact, it may already be happening under our noses. According to CEO Elon Musk via his X account, Tesla has been testing self-driving Model Y vehicles with no one in the driver's seat for several days on the public streets of Austin, Texas. This isn't exactly news, considering Tesla promised to launch the robotaxi service in June, but nobody would blame investors for being skeptical the automaker would once again fall short of expectations. More specifically to the launch of driverless technology, Tesla will do a slow rollout, with plans to geofence its vehicles to the "safest" parts of Austin. It will initially start with a few Tesla-owned Model Ys before planning to grow to roughly 1,000 vehicles within a few months. Tesla investors will be holding their collective breath during the initial rollout because the danger is real, competitors and critics are watching, and the stakes are high. Remember, General Motors invested billions into its Cruise driverless vehicle subsidiary before throwing in the towel after a pedestrian incident (among other challenges). There's at least one person in Tesla's corner, however. "There will be many setbacks, but given its unmatched scale and scope globally, we believe Tesla has the opportunity to own the autonomous market," said Dan Ives, an analyst at Wedbush Securities, according to Automotive News. "The march to a $2 trillion valuation for Tesla over the next 12 to 18 months has now begun." Back to work No, this subhead isn't regarding remote workers moving back to the office, but rather the company's controversial CEO exiting his role with the Trump administration. Musk is allegedly back to working 24/7 and sleeping at the Tesla factory. On May 28, Musk again took to his X account to thank President Donald Trump for his time working with Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, and a White House official confirmed with Reuters the information, adding, "Off-boarding will begin tonight." As much of the consumer backlash, protests, and brand defections were driven by Musk's political antics, investors should be thrilled to hear this adventure is coming to an end. It's likely to blow over in time. At the end of the day, 2025 still brings many challenges for the automaker facing sales adversity for essentially the first time, but these two developments were at least a breath of fresh air for Tesla investors tired of taking in the bad news. While Tesla might look like a buying opportunity right now, and it very well could prove to be long-term, investors would be wise to wait and see the direction of the company first. Currently, it feels like a company torn between manufacturing cars, ramping up robotaxi business, or developing artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics. Either way, stay tuned: Tesla's story is still in the early innings. Don't miss this second chance at a potentially lucrative opportunity Ever feel like you missed the boat in buying the most successful stocks? Then you'll want to hear this. On rare occasions, our expert team of analysts issues a 'Double Down' stock recommendation for companies that they think are about to pop. If you're worried you've already missed your chance to invest, now is the best time to buy before it's too late. And the numbers speak for themselves: Nvidia: if you invested $1,000 when we doubled down in 2009, you'd have $367,516!* Apple: if you invested $1,000 when we doubled down in 2008, you'd have $38,712!* Netflix: if you invested $1,000 when we doubled down in 2004, you'd have $669,517!* Right now, we're issuing 'Double Down' alerts for three incredible companies, available when you join Stock Advisor, and there may not be another chance like this anytime soon.
