Clay County elementary schooler arrested for bringing stun gun to school: CCSO
A student is facing a criminal charge after the Clay County Sheriff's Office says he brought an electric stun gun to school Friday.
Staff at Argyle Elementary were alerted about the possible weapon by another student, according to CCSO. The 10-year-old boy was later discovered with the weapon.
Officials say the gun was confiscated, and after an investigation and interviews, the student was arrested and taken to a juvenile detention center in Duval County.
No students were hurt.
The boy is charged with bringing a weapon onto school property: a 3rd degree felony.

The attorney also told ABC News 'there were no red flags' before he and the girls disappeared. Officials said Decker could be traveling along the famed Pacific Crest Trail, ABC News reports. Accused Neptune Beach porch pirate, car burglar arrested
A woman is facing multiple theft charges after Neptune Beach police said she broke into a car and stole packages from a porch. Kaitlyn Thurston, 31, remained in Duval County jail Friday morning after being arrested Thursday. Neptune Beach police they received a call Sunday from a resident reporting a car burglary. Later in the day, another resident reported packages were stolen from a nearby porch. Another person said the person tried to steal a bike from their home, but they were caught on surveillance video, police said. Police arrested Thurston at her home. Watch: Suspended Osceola sheriff appears in court, bond set at $1 million
A Lake County judge granted a bond Friday for suspended Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez. Lopez's bond was set at $1 million, $500,000 per charge he's facing. He is facing charges of racketeering and conspiracy to commit racketeering. Investigators say he was involved in a massive illegal gambling operation that took in over $20 million. Sheriff Lopez walked into a federal building Thursday morning, and moments later, he was stripped of his gun and his badge and placed in handcuffs.
