The proclamation fully restricts and limits the entry of nationals from 12 countries: Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.
Meanwhile, there is a partial restriction on entry of people from seven other countries: Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela.
As per the proclaimation, there is no travel restrictions for Indians who intends to visit the United States.

X user with ‘184 followers' ends Elon Musk-Donald Trump feud; SpaceX CEO backs down after viral comment: ‘Won't decommission Dragon'

In an unexpected twist straight out of the digital age, a high-stakes showdown between two global titans – tech mogul Elon Musk and U.S. President Donald Trump – was defused not by diplomats or high-level advisers, but by a regular user on X. A little-known account named Alaska (@Fab25june) stepped into the heated exchange with a calm, level-headed reply that read: 'This is a shame this back and forth. You are both better than this. Cool off and take a step back for a couple days.' This is a shame this back and forth. You are both better than this. Cool off and take a step back for a couple days. — Alaska (@Fab25june) June 6, 2025 Musk, surprisingly, took the advice to heart. The tension had escalated quickly after Trump posted on his platform, Truth Social, demanding the cancellation of government contracts and subsidies for Musk's companies. 'The easiest way to save money in our Budget, Billions and Billions of Dollars, is to terminate Elon's Governmental Subsidies and Contracts,' Trump wrote, adding that he was shocked President Biden hadn't already done it. In response, Musk issued what sounded like a dramatic retaliatory move: 'In light of the President's statement about cancellation of my government contracts, @SpaceX will begin decommissioning its Dragon spacecraft immediately.' But then came Alaska's now-viral comment. And Musk's reply changed the mood completely: 'Good advice. Ok, we won't decommission Dragon.' Good advice. Ok, we won't decommission Dragon. — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) June 6, 2025 The screenshot of this exchange blew up online, and one user said, 'An account with 184 followers has achieved de-escalation between two of the most powerful people in the world.' An account with 184 followers has achieved de-escalation between two of the most powerful people in the world. — Joe Weisenthal (@TheStalwart) June 6, 2025 Last year, Trump and Musk were political allies. Musk was among Trump's most vocal supporters, especially after an assassination attempt on Trump during the campaign trail in July 2024. But that alliance has since fallen apart in full public view. Things took a turn after Musk broke with Trump's administration over a major spending proposal dubbed the 'One Big Beautiful Bill.' Musk went after it hard on X, calling it 'a disgusting abomination… massive, outrageous, pork-filled.' On June 5, tensions officially erupted when Trump accused Musk of turning against the bill because it stripped electric vehicle tax credits – a move that directly hit Tesla's finances. 'Elon and I had a great relationship. I don't know if we will anymore,' Trump told reporters. Musk didn't hold back either. He claimed he was instrumental in Trump's 2024 win and blasted the President for being ungrateful. In one particularly explosive post, Musk wrote: 'Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!' As expected, the Internet wasted no time in turning the Musk-Trump feud into meme gold. Social media platforms lit up with GIFs, jokes, and wild speculation, all feeding off the drama like it was a Netflix thriller. Lebanese army warns Israeli airstrikes might force it to freeze cooperation with ceasefire committee

The Lebanese army condemned Friday Israel's airstrikes on suburbs of Beirut, warning that such attacks are weakening the role of Lebanon's armed forces that might eventually suspend cooperation with the committee monitoring the truce that ended the Israel-Hezbollah war. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The army statement came hours after the Israeli military struck several buildings in Beirut's southern suburbs that it said held underground facilities used by for drone production. The strikes, preceded by an Israeli warning to evacuate several buildings, came on the eve of Eid al-Adha, a Muslim holiday. The Lebanese army said it started coordinating with the committee observing the ceasefire after Israel's military issued its warning and sent patrols to the areas that were to be struck to search them. It added that Israel rejected the suggestion. The US-led committee that has been supervising the ceasefire that ended the 14-month Israel-Hezbollah war in November is made up of Lebanon, Israel, France, the US and the UN peacekeeping forces in Lebanon known as UNIFIL. "The Israeli enemy violations of the deal and its refusal to respond to the committee is weakening the role of the committee and the army," the Lebanese army said in its statement. It added such attacks by Israel could lead the army to freeze its cooperation with the committee "when it comes to searching posts." Since the Israel-Hezbollah war ended, Israel has carried out nearly daily airstrikes on parts of Lebanon targeting Hezbollah operatives. Beirut's southern suburbs were struck on several occasions since then. The conflict between Hezbollah and Israel began on Oct. 8, 2023, when the Lebanese militant group began launching rockets across the border in support of its ally, Hamas, in Gaza. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Israel responded with airstrikes and shelling and the two were quickly locked in a low-level conflict that continued for nearly a year before escalating into full-scale war in September 2024. It killed more than 4,000 people in Lebanon, including hundreds of civilians, while the Lebanese government said in April that Israeli strikes had killed another 190 people and wounded 485 since the ceasefire agreement. There has been increasing pressure on Hezbollah, both domestic and international, to give up its remaining arsenal, but officials with the group have said they will not do so until Israel stops its airstrikes and withdraws from five points it is still occupying along the border in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah says that it has ended its military presence along the border with Israel south of the Litani River, in accordance with terms of the ceasefire deal.

RBI Guv flags crypto concerns, says it may hamper financial stability

RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra on Friday said the central bank is concerned about cryptocurrencies as it can hamper financial stability. Malhotra was replying to a question during a media interaction post the RBI monetary policy about the developments in the backdrop of the Supreme Court's observation on crypto currency last month. "There is no new development as far as crypto is concerned. A committee of the government is looking after this. Of course, as you are aware, we are concerned about crypto because that can hamper financial stability and monetary policy," Malhotra said. The Supreme Court has last month asked the Centre to formulate a "clear cut" policy on regulating cryptocurrency, while underlining its impact on the economy. A Supreme Court bench termed the Bitcoin trade as an illicit trade more or less like "hawala" business. India is currently working on a discussion paper for cryptocurrencies and an inter-ministerial group (IMG), comprising officials from RBI, Sebi and finance ministry, is looking into global norms. In absence of any regulation, cryptocurrency is not yet illegal in India. The discussion paper will give the stakeholders an opportunity to give their views before India decides on its policy stance on cryptocurrencies. In 2022, the government announced a flat 30 per cent tax on gains arising from cryptocurrencies. Taxing income from cryptocurrencies does not necessarily and explicitly legalise cryptocurrencies. Currently, crypto assets are unregulated in India. Here cryptocurrencies are regulated from the perspective of anti-money laundering law. Besides that, income tax and TDS is levied on earnings from trading in such virtual digital assets. Also, GST is levied on cryptocurrency exchanges. It may be noted that, on March 4, 2021, the Supreme Court had set aside an RBI circular of April 6, 2018, prohibiting banks and entities regulated by it from providing services in relation to virtual currencies.
