Flight attendant reveals disgusting habit passengers do she thinks should 'be illegal'
A flight attendant has warned passengers not to board their flight 'at all' if they do one disgusting thing.
Posting on TikTok, cabin crew member Cher (@cherdallas), says she thinks tourists should 'go to prison' for breaking one key etiquette rule on their flight.
According to Cher, passengers who don't shower before they get on the plane are the worst kind of traveller.
She moans: 'There is zero reason that I should be smelling a stranger's body odour radiating off of their warm body at 5 o'clock in the morning.
'It's always men. Sometimes it's ladies that are having a lady problem that nobody has told them about but usually it's men. Wash yourself.
'You are going to be shoulder to shoulder with strangers. Show up clean or don't come at all.'
In the comments, TikTok user 'boreal999' agrees, saying: 'A shower plus clean clothes together will stop the stench.
'If it's transatlantic with a layover, change into a different clean shirt and use a wet paper towel on your torso in the bathroom stall.'
However, one person disagrees, arguing: 'Ever had to run 20 minutes to a connecting flight with luggage in tow? You'll sweat, my dear, and there may be an odour.'
But body odour isn't the only thing that Cher thinks should be '100 per cent against the law' on planes.
She reveals that passengers who play videos or music out loud without earphones are one of her pet peeves.
Cher says that forgetting headphones is no one else's problem but the passenger's and they don't need to impact other travellers on the planes.
And tourists might find Cher's other pet peeve surprising - as it's aimed at her fellow flight attendants.
'Flight attendants making a bunch of unnecessary announcements,' says Cher.
She says she prefers when flight attendants go and 'talk to people individually' on the plane rather than 'blasting their voice' over the PA at 6am.
'Not all announcements are unnecessary,' claims Cher. 'There are basic ones that we are required to make.
She moans: 'There is zero reason that I should be smelling a stranger's body odour radiating off of their warm body at 5 o'clock in the morning'
'I simply don't agree with putting on a whole production unless you are on like a super fun afternoon flight.
'I swear like eight times out of 10, the flight attendants that do those crazy announcements are not getting a pulse check from the people onboard.'
One person agrees with Cher, writing in the comments: '[I] had one who was not on duty sitting across the aisle having the loudest conversation that I couldn't even block with my noise cancelling headphones. Most of us are trying to sleep!'
However, another commenter adds: 'As a solo traveller, I love talking to the crew. I always find it so interesting.'

Juventus's Americans anger all of Italy with food slur
USA's Juventus pair Weston McKennie and Timothy Weah are facing the wrath of Italy after criticising the nation's famous cuisine. The Americans unwisely agreed in an appearance on a recent podcast that the food since they arrived in Turin 'has no variety'. To dig themselves deeper into trouble when the Serie A season begins, both went on to suggest US restaurants were better. Their comments prompted Emiliano Viviano, the former goalkeeper, to suggest in mock dismay that Italy's Prime Minister should take away their visas. McKennie and Weah were being interviewed for the Juventus Talk With Us podcast when they were asked about the local cuisine since arriving in Serie A. 'You guys don't have variety - it's pasta, pizza, fish, steak,' said McKennie. 'You know what the problem is with Italian food? It's great, it's good specific food that you do very well, but in America if I go to a burger joint or a steakhouse, then I go to another place 10 minutes down the street, I'm still eating a burger, but it's a completely different taste. In Italy, I go to this restaurant and get a pesto pasta, I go 10 minutes down the street and order a pesto pasta, it's the same thing.' Weah agreed he 'prefers Italian-American food' to the real thing. The comments sparked inevitable outrage in Italy, with former Arsenal, Palermo, Fiorentina and Sampdoria goalkeeper Viviano telling TV Play: 'The United States is the country with the worst food in the world. They would even deep-fry the soles of their shoes. If I was (Italian Prime Minister Giorgia) Meloni, I wouldn't let him back into Italy! 'How can you say there's no variety in Italian cuisine? His very definition of 'variety' irritated me. McKennie, there are 200 million of you Americans and all you ever eat are hamburgers. 'The truth is, all the food in America was brought there by other nations. I just want to tell McKennie that he has achieved the incredible feat of managing to unite all of Italy against him. It is not about fans anymore, he can be insulted by absolutely everybody.' According to the Football Italia website, McKennie's food choices had already shocked Juventus team-mates, as they were 'famously horrified when he suggested cookies and brownies in pasta' or 'ranch dressing on pizza'. 'Most recently, he proclaimed his special recipe of 'pasta with pesto, tomato and chicken,' the website adds. Juventus are currently competing at the Club World Cup and are leading Group G ahead of a showdown with Manchester City on Thursday.

Michelle Obama admits she and Barack clashed over popular parenting technique
Michelle Obama has revealed that she and her husband, former President Barack Obama, clashed over implementing one parenting technique with their daughters when they were younger. During the latest Wednesday episode of her IMO podcast, which she hosts with older brother Craig Robinson, the former first lady admitted that she and Barack ran into some trouble as they didn't see eye-to-eye on the Ferber Method. The Ferber Method is a technique made popular in 1985 by Dr. Richard Ferber, and it's used to sleep-train babies by teaching them how to self-soothe, per Cleveland Clinic. One of the main ideas of the technique is to only check on your sleeping child in certain, timed intervals, even if they're crying. However, it was something that Barack was in favor for and Michelle against when it came to parenting Malia, now 26, and Sasha, now 24. The topic came about as the sibling pair were interviewing social psychologist and author Jonathan Haidt on the latest episode. 'Well, I didn't want to do it. Barack did it. I don't know that I could have done it, because I wasn't sure about it, the notion that you just let the little person that you love the most cry and cry and cry,' Michelle shared. 'Maybe it was something about estrogen and my response to the crying, so we set it up where Barack took the night shift, I went to bed, which was helpful, because it got me some sleep,' she shared. 'I would have to cover my ears so I couldn't literally hear the crying.' However, it turned out that the method worked quite well for their family, as it took no longer than a week for the girls to get used to it. At the time they started to implement the Ferber Method, their daughters were about four or five months old. Haidt shared that he had the same experience with his children as the Obama's did when it came to implementing the Ferber Method. The admission came just weeks after Michelle had previously opened up about her relationship with her two daughters and how they started 'pushing away' from her and her husband when they were teenagers. The couple, who have been together for over 30 years, welcomed their firstborn Malia in 1998, and Sasha in 2001. The mother-of-two explained that she believes her daughters distanced themselves because they wanted to 'distinguish themselves' from their famous parents as they became adults during a recent appearance on the Sibling Revelry podcast hosted by Kate and Olivia Hudson. 'Our daughters are 26 and 23, they are young adult women. But they definitely went through a period in their teen years… it was the "push away."' Michelle noted that she has found that this is something that often happens to celebrity kids. 'They're still doing that, and you guys know this of children with parents who are known,' she continued. 'You're trying to distinguish yourself. It's very important for my kids to feel like they've earned what they are getting in the world.' While striving to make her own path, Malia dropped her last name when she premiered her short film at Sundance in 2024, per OK! Magazine. 'We were like, "They're still going to know it's you, Malia,"' Michelle said of her decision. 'But we respected the fact that she's trying to make her way.'
