A Florida man's post about H-1B visas has sparked a discussion about immigration in the US. Sean Carpenter, who describes himself as a musician and Republican MAGA supporter from Florida, posted on X that H-1B visas are 'fraudulent'. In his post, he claimed that he had heard three gate agents at the Washington DC airport speaking Hindi. He then asked why these jobs were relegated to Indians instead of Americans. H-1B visas are given to skilled workers in the US who are in specialty occupations.

The post prompted a big debate on X about immigration to the US. Many claimed that the agents may have been naturalised citizens. 'You know Indians who are born here and American citizens speak Hindi, right! Or Green card holders who became naturalised speak Hindi as well," an account wrote.

Some had a sarcastic take on the matter. 'Imagine that, people speaking a different language in an international airport," a comment read.
'You have no idea that Indian origin US citizens can also speak Hindi. Like whatever European country your parents grandparents came from all over the world for many many years. Hindi is not equal to h1b," one account noted.

Many of his supporters believe that visas like the H-1B are responsible for taking jobs away from Americans. On the other hand, others have stated there is a need for these visas, which can help the US stay ahead of the curve in sectors like technology.
According to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), H-1B visa applications for the financial year 2026 fell to 3,58,737 from over 4,80,000 in FY2025, the lowest in four years.

In a series of posts on X, Nadda responded to Congress MP's 'Narender-Surrender' jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing a convention of Congress workers in Madhya Pradesh and alleged that PM Modi had surrendered to US pressure for a ceasefire with Pakistan. He listed historical instances like the Shimla Agreement, the Indus Waters Treaty, and the 1962 war, alleging that Congress consistently capitulated, including to the Muslim League during India's independence. 'Rahul Gandhi, you may have surrendered; your party may have surrendered; your leaders may have surrendered because your history has been like this but India never surrenders.
