FEARS are growing for the welfare of a footballer who vanished after leaving for a train station four days ago.

Now, his Lincolnshire-based club Brigg Town, who play in the North Counties East Football League, have launched an appeal to help find the winger.
The club explained calls to his phone had been going straight through to voicemail, in a post on social media.
They added: "We ask for everyone to please share this far and wide to get any information we can for Ozzy's family and friends, who are worried about him."
Osborne is from Doncaster and previously played for a number of clubs across Yorkshire in the past.

He began his career with Bradford City, making 36 appearances and scoring one goal between 2006 and 2012.
Osborne went on to play for teams such as Harrogate Town and Stalybridge Celtic before eventually making his way through to Brigg Town.
Brigg Town were formed in 1864 and are the seventh oldest football club in the world, playing in the small Lincolnshire market town of Brigg, home to around 5,600 people.

TWO women died after being rescued from popular wild swimming pools in Snowdonia last night. North Wales Police said the women were found in Nant Gwynant valley, in Eryri National Park, Wales. Officers rushed to the scene at 9.30pm after one woman was pulled from the water. Another was in the pools on the Watkin path nearby - one of the six main routes to the summit of Yr Wyddfa. She was also rescued from the water but tragically both women died at the scene. The large, deep Watkin Path pools are a very popular wild swimming spot due to the clear water and beautiful waterfalls. The Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team, air ambulance and Coastguard helicopter all attended the scene. Detective Chief Inspector Andy Gibson of North Wales Police said cops are appealing for anyone who was walking nearby at the time to gt in touch. An investigation into their deaths is underway and the coroner has been informed. A North Wales Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 21:31hrs following a report that one female had been pulled from the water, and another was reported to be in the water at the pools on the Watkin Path. Most read in The Sun "The Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team were dispatched to the area along with North Wales Police, the Air Ambulance and the Coastguard Rescue Helicopter. "The second female was pulled from the water, however, despite the best efforts of all involved both were pronounced dead at the scene." More to follow... THE EFL have introduced a preliminary round for the Carabao Cup for the first time. Nine Premier League teams competing in Europe mean the cup has to be restructured this season. 1 The Carabao Cup has undergone a shake up Credit: Getty A preliminary round will take place before the first round, consisting of four teams. They include the two teams promoted from the National League last season, Barnet and Oldham, as well as Accrington Stanley and Newport County, who finished in the lowest two spots in the EFL. The preliminary draw and the first round draw will be held on the same day - Thursday June 26. The four League Two sides will face off in the preliminary round week commencing August 4 - a week before the rest of the competition kicks off. READ MORE IN FOOTBALL A preliminary round will get rid of two teams from the tournament, thus reducing the number of teams in round one and two. That will allow each Prem club that is competing in Europe to feature in round three. Round three will also be split across two weeks, commencing September 15 and September 22 - just as it did last season. Mother-of-two Jasmine McMonagle was found dead at her home in Killygordon in January 2019 Jasmine McMonagle was beaten and stabbed by her partner, Richard Burke, in 2019 The family of a young Donegal woman killed by her former partner have said they have been given a "life sentence" but he will be out in just four years. Mother-of-two Jasmine McMonagle was found dead at her home in Killygordon in January, 2019. The 27-year-old had been beaten and strangled to death. Her body was found following a three hour stand-off with Gardai at the scene. Richard Burke In May, 2023, Richard Burke from Donegal Town was found guilty of the manslaughter of Jasmine and jailed for 14 years. The 32 year old had pleaded not guilty to the murder of Jasmine at her home at Forest Park on January 4th, 2019 but did plead guilty to her manslaughter. At the time of his sentencing, Jasmine's mother Jacqueline said of Burke, "the only word that comes to mind is evil". She said the day os her daughter's killing "my world fell apart", adding her daughter was always a kind and generous person. Jasmine McMonagle was beaten and stabbed by her partner, Richard Burke, in 2019 Today's News in 90 Seconds - June 12th She told the court Jasmine had always loved spending time with her family and said Christmas was a special time for them but the holiday "means nothing to me anymore". "I feel traumatised and I still have difficulty believing I will never see my daughter again," Ms McMonagle said. "The pain I feel is indescribable. I do not feel like the person I once was, I had my daughter taken from me in the most horrific way." This week Jasmine's family issued a statement saying Burke's planned release in four years time is a "sickening insult" to Jasmine. The statement on the family's Smile for Jasmine' Facebook page said "A lifetime sentence for the family for what Richard Burke did. Jasmine's life stole. "Set for release in July 2029. Four years from now. A sickening insult to Jasmine and a disgusting reflection on the legal system. "Free to roam the streets again after 10 short years. Thank you to everyone for your continued support."
