Sending Bond into orbit was a costly mistake (at $34 million it was more than twice the price of its predecessor, The Spy Who Loved Me). Director Lewis Gilbert said that when he began making feature films in 1948 he could knock off an entire picture for less than the Moonraker phone bill.
What's more, the plot is ridiculous and the stunts are clownish. Still, the story did make possible one of the cheekiest quips, when Q announced that Roger Moore's Bond was 'attempting re-entry'. Also, the baddie, Hugo Drax, was a wildly rich entrepreneur with a God complex who was desperate to conquer space, a choice that now seems rather prescient... (140 minutes)

So gaming's biggest weekend for new announcements is here, with dozens of titles being shown off for the first Game Fest kicked of the annual preview marathon in the US last night as the industry's major studios tried to grab attention with new reveals and glossy trailers. Dragons at the ready for Game of Thrones For years it was the TV show everyone was talking about. Now Australian developer PlaySide is hoping we'll do the same for its new game based on the popular series. War for Westeros is a real-time strategy game - or RTS - out next year, where players can control the armies of the Great Houses across some of the locations you might know from the show and books it's based on. We've been told you'll be able to take over Westeros solo, or play against your mates online when it launches on PC next year. Mads Mikkelsen stars again as Bond villain What's your favourite Bond film of all time? If the answer is Casino Royale, you're in for a Mikkelsen is reprising his role as villain Le Chiffre, albeit as a digital double based on his appearance. Famed for the Kick-Ass movie series and the Marvel movie Avengers: Age of Ultron, Aaron shot to fame playing John Lennon in Nowhere Boy. The Sun previously exclusively revealed how Bond bosses had offered the job to Aaron. Here is what we know so far. Who has developed the game? The game has been developed by video game company IO Interactive. Founded 25 years ago, the company include games such as the Hitman series, Freedom Fighters and Kane & Lynch: Dead Men in their catalogue. What is the game about? The game sees young Bond, a reckless, yet talented Navy crewman, perform an astonishing act of courage that gets him noticed by MI6. They invite him to join their training program to become one heck of a spy, and along the way, meet iconic characters including Moneypenny, Q and M. The story is original and developed with Amazon MGM studios. OI Interactive describe the game as 'a thrilling narrative action-adventure game. 'Follow James Bond as a young, resourceful, and sometimes reckless recruit in MI6's training program, and discover an origin story of the world's most famous spy. ' When is the game due for release?
