2025 CFB Odds: Who Will Claim the SEC Title?
The Big Ten has taken over college football as of late, with the last two national champions being teams from the conference: Michigan and Ohio State. The SEC is hoping to avoid a Big Ten three-peat for 2025.
The SEC boasts a roster of notable — and very successful — squads as well.
While the conference dates back to 1933, it didn't hold its first conference championship game until 1992.
Since then, the Alabama Crimson Tide has secured the most SEC championships, winning 11 titles, including the very first game against Florida.
So, which team do oddsmakers predict will come out on top in the SEC this season?
Let's take a look ahead at the 2025 SEC title odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of June 23.

Despite joining the SEC just a year ago, the sportsbooks favor Texas — led by star QB Arch Manning — to claim the title. Before last year, Texas found success in the Big 12, securing its most recent title in 2023 with a dominant 49-21 victory over Oklahoma State. That win ended a 13-year conference title drought, the longest in program history. Texas had previously won titles in 1996, 2005, 2009 and 2023. Last season, the Longhorns topped the conference with a 7-1 record, but they lost 22-19 in the championship game.
As mentioned, Alabama leads the conference with the most SEC titles, nine of which were won by coach Nick Saban. In the last 11 years, Bama has claimed seven titles, with its most recent victory in 2023 — a narrow 27-24 win over Georgia. The Crimson Tide finished their 2024 campaign with a 5-3 conference record, tying for third with Missouri and Ole Miss. With +380 odds, Alabama sits second on the oddsboard, just below Texas.
Next on the board is Georgia, the reigning SEC champ, at +400. The Bulldogs rank third in the SEC for most conference title wins with five. Since Kirby Smart took over as head coach, Georgia has experienced significant success, making eight conference appearances in his nine seasons. After going 6-2 in the SEC last season, Georgia defeated Texas 22-19 in the championship game.

NBA champions predicted to draft Georgia basketball star
Georgia Bulldogs forward Asa Newell is projected to be a first-round pick in the 2025 NBA draft, which begins on Wednesday, June 25 at 8 p.m. ET. "He was one of the lone bright spots for the Bulldogs in a loss against No. 1 Auburn with a team-high 20 points. His scoring dipped at the end of the regular season, however, he had 20 points and eight rebounds in a first-round NCAA Tournament loss to Gonzaga." Newell has worked out with the Atlanta Hawks, Chicago Bulls and Portland Trailblazers ahead of the 2025 NBA draft.

Rangers left-hander Cody Bradford will have elbow surgery after setback in rehab
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Texas Rangers left-hander Cody Bradford will have elbow surgery Wednesday after a setback during his rehab from a left elbow sprain that has kept him out all season. Chris Young, the team's president of baseball operations, said Tuesday that Bradford felt something in his elbow when he resumed throwing after a recent flu bug. He then saw team physician Dr. Keith Meister, who will do the surgery. The 27-year-old Bradford is 10-6 with a 4.28 ERA in 34 games (21 starts) for Texas the past two seasons. He was expected to be part of the starting rotation this season, but was shut down during spring training in mid-March because of elbow soreness. As a rookie, Bradford was 1-0 with a 1.17 ERA in five relief appearances during the 2023 playoffs when the Rangers won their first World Series title. He pitched a scoreless inning in Game 1 and another in Game 4 against Arizona in the World Series. Young said the team would have a better idea of a timeline for Bradford's recovery after the surgery is done, and that it would depend on the extent of the procedure. 'A tough blow for the team, but more importantly for Cody. He had worked extremely hard, looked great this spring,' Young said. 'Obviously was going to be a big part of our season this year, and to lose him today is tough news. ... Auburn University Marching Band to be included in EA Sports College Football 26
Auburn fans will hear familiar sounds when they play the next edition of the EA Sports' College Football video game. Auburn fans will hear a tune from a local source when they play College Football 26, the latest college football video game from EA Sports that will release next month. The Auburn University Marching Band shared on its Instagram page that it has been selected to play the opening theme for the video game. According to the post, AUMB was approached by EA Sports to record the theme song, which the band recorded in December and kept a secret until this week. EA Sports was intrigued by Auburn's "Metallica" halftime show during the 2023 season, saying that it wanted to replicate the energy from the show for its theme song. "Thanks to Steve Schnur (President of EA Sports Music, @sschnur ), Torsten Sales (Feature Producer), Kris Bowers (Composer), and Nick Spezia (Recording Engineer) for trusting in the AUMB to be the first marching band to record this iconic theme for the game," AUMB shared on its Instagram page. "Also a big thanks to AUMB arranger Ward Miller, for creating the marching band arrangement, and AU Instructor of Percussion Aaron Locklear, for the percussion arrangement." The new game will be released on July 10, according to EA Sports' website, with a special pre-release three-day period between July 7 and July 9 for fans eager to play the game early. Fans who play the game will get the chance to play as the Auburn Tigers by scoring touchdowns with Cam Coleman and sacking opposing quarterbacks with Keldric Faulk, which is a perfect way to get into the college football spirit.
