Adam Scott in great spot to add second major to underappreciated career at US Open

New York Post11 hours ago

OAKMONT, Pa. — If you can come up with a more underappreciated professional golfer in the world than Adam Scott, please submit your answers to: mcannizzaro@nypost.com
Thanks in advance.
Scott spent the better part of the first two days of the U.S. Open this week quietly going about his business — unnoticed despite being in the thick of contention to become the second-oldest player to win the 125-year-old tournament.
Even as he finished his second consecutive ho-hum round of even-par 70 on Friday afternoon to stand at even par and tied for fourth place entering Saturday's third round at Oakmont, it felt like few even knew the 44-year-old Aussie was in the field.
