Thursday's briefing: Glory for Chelsea and England prepare for Portugal game
Abde Ezzalzouli gave Betis an early advantage and the Spaniards still led at half-time, but Cole Palmer inspired Chelsea's comeback, setting up goals for Enzo Fernandez and Nicolas Jackson as the Londoners turned the game around in the space of five minutes.
Substitute Jadon Sancho then scored a fine third before Moises Caicedo sealed it as Chelsea became the first club to have won the Champions League, Europa League and the Conference League.
Three days after sealing a Champions League place for next season with a final-day victory at Nottingham Forest, Chelsea were celebrating again after a superb second-half fightback.
Four goals in the final 25 minutes left Betis players and supporters stunned and made this a season to remember for Chelsea and Enzo Maresca in his first campaign at the helm.
'We have improved a lot since we started, and we have started to win games in an ugly way, and with a young squad you can struggle to do that,' Maresca said.
'It can be a starting point. To build a winning mentality, you need to win games, to win competitions. The trophy we have won tonight is going to make us better.'
The end of the season did not bring an end to Manchester United's struggles as their post-season tour of Asia opened with a meek 1-0 defeat to the ASEAN All-Stars in Kuala Lumpur.
United were booed off by some of the 72,000-plus crowd at the Bukit Jalil Stadium after Maung Maung Lwin's second-half effort proved the difference in Wednesday's Maybank Challenge Cup, leaving Ruben Amorim to say that might be something his players needed to hear.
'I feel always guilty,' the United head coach said. 'I said that in the last game. I am always guilty of the performance of the team no matter and since I am here in the first day, I am guilty.
'Then the boos from the fans, I think it's something that we need maybe because every game that we lost in the Premier League they were always there (cheering us). So, it's like the way of playing. If they see that it's not working, they will change the way they behave.'
Tottenham defender Ella Morris must wait for her England chance after being forced to withdraw from Sarina Wiegman's squad having sustained anterior cruciate ligament damage in training.
Right-back Norris, who has suffered ACL damage before, had been called into the squad for the first time ahead of Friday's Nations League game against Portugal but now faces surgery on the injury, with Manchester City's Laura Blindkilde Brown called up in her place.
Writing on Instagram, Morris said: 'Devastated doesn't even come close. So grateful for the incredible people around me. ACL round 2 – let's go.'
Craig Bellamy called 18-year-old Ronan Kpakio into his Wales squad before revealing he tried to sign the Cardiff full-back for Burnley last year.
Kpakio was the surprise name in Bellamy's 27-strong squad for upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Liechtenstein and Belgium, having only made his first league start for Cardiff on the final day of the season at Norwich.
'I've known Ronan since he was very, very young and I've kept an eye on him,' said former Burnley assistant Bellamy.
'Even last year, I tried to buy him for Burnley, so I'm fully aware of him.'

England boss Wiegman will address the media ahead of Friday's game with Portugal at Wembley.
After Chelsea's win in the Conference League, attention starts to turn to Saturday's Champions League final and the build-up to the clash between Paris St Germain and Inter Milan.
Martin Zubimendi could be the next big name on the move with the Real Sociedad midfielder inching closer to Arsenal.

Rashford emerges as shock target for Italian giants amid Man Utd quandary
Marcus Rashford appears to have little future at Manchester United and the forward could potentially be in line for a blockbuster move to Italy ahead of next season Italian giants Inter Milan could make a move for Marcus Rashford after their Champions League humiliation. The Manchester United forward is on the lookout for his next club, with his future at Old Trafford less than certain. Rashford was unceremoniously cut from the squad by Ruben Amorim and joined Aston Villa on loan in January. The Midlands side have a £40m option to buy him this summer, albeit they have yet to activate that. A number of potential other suitors have emerged for Rashford's services and it appears that there is now interest from Italy. According to The Sun, Inter Milan have added the United forward to their summer shortlist as they aim to recover from their dismal Champions League final appearance. The Serie A giants were thumped 5-0 by Paris Saint-Germain in Munich. Club chiefs apparently believe that Rashford could be a perfect addition as they aim to rebuild the squad in the wake of that defeat. It is also said his signing would go a long way to getting fans back onside. Inter are apparently exploring a long-term loan move, albeit United would prefer a permanent deal. A source as quoted by The Sun said: 'Marcus is open-minded to a move abroad, and a fresh start. Lots of players have made the move from the Premier League to Serie A in recent years and performed very well. That's why the idea of such a switch excites both the player and Inter.' Away from Inter, Barcelona have also been credited with an interest in Rashford. Sporting director Deco was recently asked about a potential move but claimed work needed to be done behind the scenes before the Catalan side could consider adding new signings to their squad. 'We have been focusing on renewing contracts, after that, we'll discuss players to come," Deco said to BBC Sport. "Of course, these two players [Rashford and Luis Diaz], like you mentioned, they are good but have contracts in their clubs, so we won't speak because it's not fair. 'But when you decide to go to the market, for sure, we find some names. In my opinion, we don't need to bring many players. When I speak with the agents of the players, everyone wants to come or stay. 'So this is important. The image of the club is still good. We are proud because Barcelona is still such a big club, and the way we are playing football makes players want to come."

The inside story of Chelsea's £5m Jadon Sancho snub: Why the Blues wanted to sign him, the major stumbling block to a permanent deal and how they REALLY felt about the Man United flop
Chelsea are paying a £5million penalty so that Jadon Sancho will not play for them again. Unfortunate as it is for the loanee being returned to sender, that is the headline which will be remembered above all, even if there is more to this peculiar parting than that. Chelsea's agreement with United did not include any loan fee, the switch having been hurried over the line on last summer's deadline day when a deal sheet was submitted to the Premier League to give the clubs an additional two hours to complete the transfer after the 11pm cut-off.

Gary Neville delighted ‘star player' Bruno Fernandes is set to stay at Man Utd
The 30-year-old Portugal international has been the subject of speculation linking him with a £100million switch to Al Hilal, with the Saudi Pro League side reportedly prepared to pay him £700,000 per week. Though United did not comment when contacted by the PA news agency, Saudi sources have suggested the midfielder has decided not to make such a move at this stage of his career. That news would give head coach Ruben Amorim a huge lift as he tries to reshape the squad after a dismal season. United endured their worst finish of the Premier League era, finishing 15th, with Fernandes one of the few players to emerge with credit. Former United and England defender Neville told Sky Sports News: 'It's significant. 'I think that there was an element of this situation that meant United getting that level of money, for someone of Bruno's age, obviously, you couldn't say that it would have been a bad deal. 'But, on the other hand, Manchester United's star player – only player at times – for the last four, five, six years, has been Bruno Fernandes. He's so important. 'The fact that he wants to stay, the fact that he wants to go through this and come out the other side, because it would have been easy for him at the end of this season to say, 'Look, I'm done here', will endear him towards Manchester United fans even more. 'To turn that money down at a point where Manchester United are at their lowest ebb and say, 'No, I want to fight through this, I want to see it through the other side, I want to come out and achieve things,' I think it says a lot about him as a person, as a character. 'The club needs people who are going to run through a brick wall for them.' United have already made one move in the transfer market this summer by signing Brazil forward Matheus Cunha from Wolves. They are also being heavily linked with Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo. Departures could include Jadon Sancho, although latest reports have suggested Chelsea are prepared to pay a penalty fee to escape an obligation to make his current loan permanent. Neville said: 'They need players who are going to come in and hit the ground running and Cunha and Mbeumo have got obviously Premier League experience. 'I know that Ruben Amorim has this system where he plays these two players in behind a striker. If those two players are Mbeumo and Cunha then Manchester United will at least be able to travel quickly from deep positions into attacking positions because they can both run. 'We know the likes of Sancho, (Marcus) Rashford, Antony, and probably (Alejandro) Garnacho are going to leave, so they need definitely players in those positions.'
