Scottie Scheffler sits under a tree at the 18th hole of the Masters — and everyone had jokes
Scottie Scheffler was seen hanging out in a magnolia tree during the 2025 Masters on Friday.
On the 18th hole, Scheffler sent his drive left, causing it to finally settle under a group of trees that he eventually sat under while asking for a rules official.

With his face covered by the magnolia's branches, Scheffler was able to hit the ball out onto the fairway, later settling for a bogey.

'It's quite challenging and you get winds like that. You've really got to manage your expectations, manage yourself around the course,' Scheffler told reporters regarding the hole. 'Sometimes I did a good job of that. Other times today, maybe not so good.'
While many were impressed with the 28-year-old's recovery on the 18th hole, others marveled at the fact of him deciding to take a seat under the tree.

The official PGA Tour account posted a picture on X of Scheffler sitting under the magnolia with the caption, 'Meanwhile on 18.'

Sports betting company PrizePicks replied with, 'Me hiding from the marshal after sending one into someones window.'

Other people on X also quickly took notice of Scheffler and posted their own jokes on the social media platform, with one user saying, 'This is the best golfer on planet earth.'
Another replied, 'But when I do this, it's 'you've had too much to drink. Get off the property.''
Scheffler ultimately finished the second day of the 2025 Masters at 1-under par and is currently tied for fifth place in the tournament, just one stroke behind Rory McIlroy, who also dealt with some trees Friday.
