Representatives for Meghan Markle have weighed in on the controversy surrounding her use of the HRH title, which seems to contravene an accord with the late Queen. Meghan and Prince Harry relinquished their HRH (His/Her Royal Highness) statuses upon retiring as senior royals in March 2020.
Yet, a new podcast interview features an image of a gift card from Meghan inscribed with: "with the compliments of HRH The Duchess of Sussex". The card was highlighted while Meghan had her inaugural podcast chat with Jamie Kern Lima, the entrepreneur behind IT Cosmetics.
Jamie disclosed that the basket with homemade strawberry sauce and ice cream, complimented by the note, arrived at her residence "about a year ago... to see if that helps lighten my load".

Despite no formal laws enacted or agreements written to proscribe its utilisation, Harry and Meghan consented with the late Queen and top-rank officers to cease the use of the term 'Royal' following what has been coined Megxit Day.
The duo elucidated on their official website at the time: "As agreed and set out in January, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will retain their 'HRH' prefix, thereby formally remaining known as His Royal Highness The Duke of Sussex and Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex.", reports the Mirror.
"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will no longer actively use their HRH titles as they will no longer be working members of the family as of Spring 2020."
A representative for the Sussexes has now refuted claims that Meghan uses the title Her Royal Highness for commercial reasons.
Sources close to Harry and Meghan have suggested to the Daily Mail that the photo shared on the podcast by Jamie Kern Lima was taken prior to the launch of As Ever. They maintain that they do not publicly use the HRH, despite still holding the titles.
However, as indicated by the image shared by Jamie, they do use the style in personal correspondence and among friends. Buckingham Palace has been contacted for a response.
This comes after Meghan revealed on the podcast that she and her husband are experiencing a renewed 'honeymoon' phase since gaining "a little bit of breathing space" following their step back from Royal duties. Meghan expressed that the couple found it difficult to fully enjoy each other's company early in their relationship due to the intense media scrutiny.
The couple began dating in 2016 and wed in 2018, initially undertaking Royal duties before deciding to step back in 2020, which led to strained relations between Harry, the King, and Prince William. She explained: "You have to imagine at the beginning, everyone has, like, butterflies. Then we immediately went into the trenches together. Yeah, right out of the gate, like six months into dating.
"So now, seven years later, when you have a little bit of breathing space, you can just enjoy each other in a new way, and that's why I feel like it's more of a honeymoon period for us now."
the duchess expressed, lauding her husband for keeping their family 'safe'.
"He's just out there, just constant, like he's just going to do whatever he can to make sure that our family is safe and protected and we're uplifted and still make time for date nights," Meghan shared. "He's also a fox. If you haven't noticed, my husband's very, very handsome. But his heart is even more beautiful," she continued.
Meghan was visibly moved when discussing her children, Archie and Lilibet, and disclosed that she sends emails to secret addresses she's set up for them, which they can read when they grow up. "Before I go to bed, almost every night, I email them, like, here's your report card from today, or, oh my gosh, wasn't it the funniest thing this morning?".
"Or here's a picture of you two having breakfast, or here's you playing. The things that you're not going to frame, the things that you're not going to put pen to paper in a journal, but which they will end up seeing at one point in their life, maybe when they're 16 or when they're 18.
"I'll say, here's an email that I've been keeping for you. Here's everything and every moment that I wanted to tell you how much I love you and, like, how proud I am of you."
This follows Meghan's recent ventures, including her Netflix show, a new podcast, and the lifestyle brand As Ever. The initial range of As Ever products, featuring raspberry spread, flower sprinkles, and herbal tea, quickly sold out.
However, her Netflix lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan, faced a wave of critical reviews. Additionally, the duchess debuted a new podcast series, Confessions Of A Female Founder, in April.

Love Island fans left in shock as 'hypocritical' Harry confesses to having an orgy with an entire women's football team

Love Island fans were left in shock during Monday's show when 'hypocritical' Harry confessed to having an orgy with an entire women's football team. Viewers saw the return of the Got The Receipts challenge that sees contestants slide down a conveyor belt, swipe their card and pick up a receipt, which reveals a fact about an Islander of the opposite sex. They then have to decide who they think the fact is about and kiss their chosen person, before finding out if they got it right. One receipt read: 'This boy has had an orgy with an entire women's football team.' The culprit was revealed to be Harry, with the girls exclaiming: 'It's Harry! I'm not sure we should be clapping for that.' Viewers at home were equally as shocked at the confession and slammed his 'double standards' on X. They shared: 'Harry is just a big gigantic red flag!!!'; 'And if I say Harry made that up because I can't see 11 women sleeping with him'; 'Harry is such a hypocrite?? Judging Helena for being a 'party girl' yet he has had an orgy with an entire football team?? What else is harry hiding? He is 10x worse yet degrading Helena?? The men this year are horrible'; '"The whole women's team" ok Harry someone's telling fibs'; 'Harry's acting like this and he's…thirty?'; 'Love Island just shows the double standards women face on a daily basis. Harry was judging Helena for being a bit freaky meanwhile he's slept with a whole football team.' The challenge took a disastrous turn as the boys cooked up an outrageous game plan which instantly backfired. Ben thought that Helena was the girl that was caught with handcuffs in her case while travelling, and Conor though that Toni picked up the phone while getting down and dirty because of a job. However, three of the boys decided to play their own game within the game. The rest of the group had no idea that Harry, Dejon, and Shea had got together and agreed that they would lock lips with the girl they fancied, rather than who they though the fact was about. Viewers at home were equally as shocked at the confession and slammed Harry's 'double standards' on X But later on in the episode their secret plan was revealed after Tommy pointed out that they all kissed someone that they were attracted to. Harry told him: 'We were all like, boys lets just forget the question and just say who you wanna kiss - so Shea was like I wanna kiss Megan, when he read it out, me and D said, "That's Megan!"' Tommy replied: 'Oh my God, f****ng hell! What do you think will happen tonight then? That will all come out?' The landscape gardener then decided to share the information with his girl Megan. She confessed: 'We f***ing knew it!' Tommy continued: 'Shea said, "When it's my turn say Megan" - I think that's out of order. I don't like confrontation, but I will stand up for what's right.'

Meghan teases ‘delicious surprises' as she restocks lifestyle brand

Meghan said the April launch of her As Ever products, including jam and herbal tea, had been 'absolutely extraordinary' and teased buyers they would only have to wait a few days for more items. In an Instagram post, the California-based duchess wrote: 'Oh yes, honey… sweet things await. Mark your calendars for June 20 at 8 a.m. PT – we're bringing back your favorites, plus some delicious surprises you won't want to miss!' In a newsletter, she also wrote: 'First off, a sincere thank you for making the debut of As Ever absolutely extraordinary. 'We had a feeling there would be excitement, but to see everything sell out in less than an hour was an amazing surprise. 'We are pleased to share that on June 20th, we're going live with the products you love – plus, some new delicious surprises.' Earlier this month Meghan said she had decided to 'just pause' restocking her brand, saying she wanted to wait until it is 'completely stable and we have everything we need'. She also spoke of the difficulties of building her firm and 'how many tears' she has shed behind the scenes on a bonus episode of her podcast featuring Beyonce's mother Tina Knowles. Meghan had suggested the 'scarcity mentality at the beginning might be a hook for people', comparing it to 'a sneaker drop'. But she feared it might be 'annoying' for customers, adding: 'I don't want you to eat that jam once every six months. I want that to be on your shelf all the time.' Meghan said: 'So for me at the moment, with As Ever, it was great. We planned for a year we get and then everything sells out in 45 minutes. 'Yes, amazing, great news. Then what do you do? And then you say 'Ok, we planned as best as we could. Are we going to replenish and sell out again in an hour? Or is that annoying as a customer? 'I'm looking at it saying 'Just pause. That happened. Let's wait until we are completely stable and we have everything we need'.' She added how people 'see all the flashy stuff and they see the product. But that end game… those behind the scenes moments, how many tears I've shed'.
