4 arrested for kidnapping, taking child from GA to NJ by train
A deputy with the Bibb County Sheriff's Office arrested four people in connection with the interference with a child custody and kidnapping investigation.
On Tuesday, Jan. 28, a woman called 911 to report that her two-year-old child was taken out of state.
Deputies contacted the woman and she reported that the child's father, Dashawn Rashard Sarratt, 30, told her the child was taken without her consent or the knowledge of the Georgia Division of Family & Children Services (DFCS).
According to the sheriff's office, the child was placed with a family member of Dashawn Sarratt during an open DFACS investigation involving the child's care.
Both DFACS and the child's mother agreed that Samiyah Cunningham, 24, would temporarily keep the toddler until she was to be moved to another location.
During this time, Dashawn Sarratt along with Samiyah Cunningham, Shinikka Cunningham of New Jersey, 49, mother of Samiyah, and Kiesha Burno of New Jersey, 50, mother of Dashawn, all conspired and moved the child by train to live with Burno.
Once they were in New Jersey, Kiesha Burno fraudulently received a temporary custodial order through the Hudson County Superior Court in New Jersey.
New Jersey Child Protection Services reported to Macon-Bibb DFACS that the child was with Burno.

A deputy obtained arrest warrants for Dashawn Sarratt, Samiyah Cunningham, Shinikka Cunningham, and Kiesha Burno.
All four were arrested and the child was safely recovered.
Samiyah Cunningham, Shinikka Cunningham, and Kiesha Burno were all charged with conspiracy to commit a felony, interstate interference with custody, and kidnapping.
Dashawn Rashard Sarratt was charged with kidnapping, conspiracy to commit a felony, interstate interference with custody, and probation violation.
They were all denied bond.

3 arrested in DeKalb County for illegal tire dumping cases, including in front of pre-school
The DeKalb County Police Department announced three people were arrested in illegal tire dumping cases. It's a problem Channel 2 Action News has reported on before, with people dumping hundreds, sometimes thousands, of tires in DeKalb County neighborhoods. Nial Fraser said. On Friday, police announced three arrests in separate illegal tire dumping cases, but they believe there are more dumpers still on the loose. 'If you're dumping tires for commercial purposes that is a felony,' Fraser said. Police shared pictures of the some of the dump sites. From Memorial Drive to Covington Highway, police said the people behind the dumping always seem to use box trucks and wait until dark or when no one is around. 'We're just seeing more and more of it as you ride down the road,' Fraser told Washington. Officers hope the flyers they're putting up asking for help can move things forward. 'What helps us is video,' Fraser said. 'So if these businesses have cameras up, motion detectors, cameras that can give us time stamps.' Police said in a statement that there have been 19 instances of illegally dumped tires in the county since Jan. 1, including in front of a preschool. USDOJ says 3 Mexican nationals face charges from Cobb County meth lab bust
Three 'illegal aliens from Mexico' face charges following a methamphetamine lab bust in Cobb County. One is still on the run. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Juan Perez-Maldonado, Francisco Garcia Gomez and Filemon Hernandez-Jijon were charged after a federal operation on June 3. Officials said Drug Enforcement Administration agents saw Hernandez-Jijon allegedly supply two kilograms of meth to a drug customer in Smyrna. Then, they watched as Hernandez-Jijon go back and forth from a Marietta mobile home. [DOWNLOAD: Free WSB-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] DEA agents got a search warrant for the mobile home and found Perez-Maldonado and Garcia Gomez, while a third person ran from the scene. Inside, agents found an active meth lab being used to convert liquid methamphetamine into a crystal-like form and at least 13 kilograms of what looked like the finished drug product, USDOJ said. Agents also found two handguns, including one that was hidden in the tank of a toilet, as well as money remitter receipts with Garcia Gomez's and Hernandez-Jijon's names, according to the Justice Department. Also in the apartment, agents found a Springfield XD firearm and mechanical press used to turn powder into kilogram bricks, according to USDOJ. As the investigation continued, agents found that Perez-Maldonado and Hernandez-Jijon had already been deported and removed from the United States earlier. While Perez-Maldonado and Garcia Gomez appeared in court on Wednesday for charges of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, officials said Hernandez-Jijon is currently a fugitive. 43-year-old arrested after stealing car at gunpoint, prompting chase, police say
A man is in custody after police said he stole a car at gunpoint and led officers on a chase Thursday. [DOWNLOAD: Free WHIO-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] Around 6 p.m., Dayton officers were called to the 500 block of East Third for reports of a car stolen. The car had been taken at gunpoint, according to a Dayton police spokesperson.
