The ex-Anfield winger has worked wonders in his second stint as the club's boss but is thought to be keen on managing in England.
And Hull are on the lookout for a new man in charge after they sacked Ruben Selles at the end of the season.
Selles had steered Hull to Championship safety on the final day but it was not enough to save his job.
The Spaniard was the third manager to be dismissed by Hull owner Acun Ilicali in the last year along with Liam Rosenior and Tim Walter.

Former Sunderland and Rangers boss Michael Beale has been interviewed by Hull for the vacancy.
While ex-Newcastle midfielder Emre Belozoglu joins Riera on the club's four-man shortlist.
Riera steered NK Celje to a huge quarter-final berth in the Europa Conference League despite finishing 21st out of 36 teams in the league phase.
After beating Cypriot side APOEL in the knockout play-off, Celje beat Swiss side Lugano via penalties in the last 16.

But the club crashed out in the final eight after losing 4-3 on aggregate to Serie A side Fiorentina.
A wideman in his playing days, Riera first moved to England in 2006 when Manchester City loaned him in from Espanyol.

In 2008 he joined Liverpool and spent two years at Anfield, scoring five goals and providing nine assists in 56 appearances.
However, his time at the club was cut short after he was suspended by then-manager Rafa Benitez.
The Spaniard made comments to the Spanish press regarding his first team opportunities and was subsequently exiled and transfer listed.
Riera also played for Olympiacos, Galatasaray, Watford, Udinese, Zavrc and Koper.
Since hanging up his boots, Riera has managed alongside Slovenian club NK Olimpija Ljubljana as well as French side Bordeaux.
Riera began his managerial career with Olimpija in July 2022 and went on to win the league title in his first season.

Germany v Portugal: Nations League semi-final
Update: Date: 2025-06-04T17:45:45.000Z Title: Preamble Content: If you can't wait for the Club World Cup and Euro 2025 to fill your days, there's another major tournament finale squeezed into football's almost non-existent summer break. The men's Nations League finals kick off in Germany, with the hosts seeking a trophy to somewhat atone for falling short at last year's home Euros. They face Portugal in the semi-final in Munich, with France and Spain contesting the other semi in Stuttgart. It's been an exciting run to the final four for both these teams; in the new two-legged quarter-finals, Germany squeezed past Italy 5-4 on aggregate, while Portugal were minutes from defeat to Denmark before winning 5-3 on aggregate in extra time. This is Germany's first run to the final four; Portugal won the first finals back in 2019. Still, Julian Nagelsmann's side start as favourites at the Allianz Arena tonight. Liverpool fans may be hoping to get a glimpse of Florian Wirtz in action tonight, with the hosts likely to field a strong line-up despite injuries to Jamal Musiala, Kai Havertz and others. The Portugal coach, Roberto Martínez, must decide whether to call on PSG heroes Vitinha, Nuno Mendes and João Neves, who lit up this very stadium four night ago. And will he start Cristiano Ronaldo, 40, up front? Readers, he probably will. Kick-off is at 8pm BST; team news and buildup to come.

Liverpool star snubs Mo Salah when picking Ballon d'Or winner - 'In all honesty'
Mohamed Salah is yet to finish in the top three of the Ballon d'Or and his Liverpool team-mate Ibrahima Konate has overlooked him for this year's award - instead hailing one of PSG's leading lights Ibrahima Konate insists Ousmane Dembele is the "most deserving winner" of the Ballon d'Or - which would mean his Liverpool team-mate Mohamed Salah misses out yet again. The Reds star has just enjoyed one of his best seasons in front of goal, firing Liverpool to another Premier League title. His individual exploits have continued to be recognised in England, where he was again named the FWA Player of the Year. However on the world stage he's often been overlooked despite being one of Europe's most feared forwards for nearly a decade. Currently his best finish is fifth - which he's claimed twice - and those close to him have previously hit out and his lack of appreciation. And Konate believes he will again get snubbed and has claimed his compatriot Dembele should land the award in light of PSG landing Champions League glory. After a slow few months early in the season the Parisians and their French forward clicked into gear. History suggests that the team who win the European Cup often have one of their leading players scoop the Golden Ball. Dembele has been among their top performers and is being tipped to claim the prestigious award. Konate said: 'We talk about Lamine Yamal, Kylian Mbappé… But no one talks about Ousmane Dembélé. He has delivered an exceptional season. I have honestly no other words to describe it. Nobody expected it. I'm the happiest man for him. In all honesty, the most deserving Ballon d'Or winner is Ousmane Dembélé.' The 28-year-old, formerly of Barcelona, scored 33 times in all competitions and came up with crucial strikes to help PSG see off Liverpool and Arsenal en route to the final, where they hammered Inter Milan 5-0 at the Allianz Arena. Jamie Carragher has been among those to talk up Salah's chances of winning the Ballon d'Or - previously declaring him a frontrunner when he was in a purple patch earlier this season. He said: 'I think it's either the Champions League or the major tournament – normally the player who excels in that. You look at Vinicius Jr, [Kylian] Mbappe right now, Real Madrid are looking really good going for the Champions League, and Liverpool will be in that conversation. But right now, he's certainly the frontrunner.' Dembele has been installed as the favourite to land the Ballon d'Or following PSG's European triumph. Lamine Yamal is second favourite with Salah largely the third favourite among the bookmakers.

Leny Yoro names shock ex-Arsenal star as 'toughest striker' he's ever faced
Manchester United defender Leny Yoro has picked out ex-Arsenal star Alexandre Lacazette as the toughest striker he has ever come up against on a football pitch. Though still in the infancy of his career, Yoro has already locked horns with some of the finest attacking talent in world football, including Erling Haaland, Alexander Isak and Kylian Mbappe. And given the French centre-back is not even out of his teens, there are sure to be many, many more daunting challenges ahead of him over the coming years. Yoro could be forgiven for wanting United to bring in a high-class centre-forward of their own this summer, with both Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee badly struggling to live up to expectations at Old Trafford. Prior to his £52million transfer move from Lille to United, the 19-year-old only had one full season under his belt in senior football with his boyhood team. But the second leg of United's Europa League quarter-final with Lyon in April marked the fifth time that Yoro had gone toe to toe with Lacazette – and it's clear he rates his fellow countryman extremely highly. Lacazette has racked up four goals in his those five meetings with Yoro, leaving a strong impression on the youngster. 'The toughest striker [I've faced]? I would say Lacazette, even in Ligue 1. He was very good,' Yoro told Rising Ballers. 'He's got a lot of experience because he played Premier League and Ligue 1. 'And his positioning in games, sometimes it's difficult for defenders, always in your back.' To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Yoro opened his account for United in the first leg of the side's quarter-final with Lyon, directing home Manuel Ugarte's scruffy effort with a precise header from close range. 'Honestly, I was not ready to score!' Yoro joked when looking back on the 2-2 draw at Lyon's Groupama Stadium. 'But I didn't want to celebrate because I wanted to play quick to try to win the game. 'I was really happy because my family was there and after the game, they said they were really happy for me and proud so it was good.' Going forward, Yoro is keen to add another string to his bow by bringing more 'aggression' to his game. Asked which area he most needs to improve, Yoro replied: 'Maybe I would say, sometimes, my aggression, being more aggressive. 'With the ball, I need to improve, of course, but I think I'm good so maybe, sometimes, I need to be more aggressive.' Yoro sees his long-term future at United and is desperate to start adding major trophies to his collection sooner rather than later. Quizzed on where he sees himself in five years' time, he responded: 'I hope I will stay here, for sure, in Manchester. '[Hopefully] I can say that I've won some titles and something has changed, maybe I have a child.' For more stories like this, check our sport page.
