Leaked Nothing Phone (3) image shows a surprisingly small camera island

Nothing will announce its first proper flagship, the Phone (3), on July 1. That's still several weeks out, so the company has only been sharing macro views of the phone. Well, now Max Jambor has zoomed out to reveal the full picture, though that raises some additional questions.
Nothing Phone (3) (leaked image)
First off, that camera island looks... small? Maybe it's just the angle, but it doesn't look as imposing as the Phone (3a) Pro camera island.
Also, as you may have heard, Nothing killed the Glyph Interface (the set of LEDs on the back). There are some indications that the company will replace the few scattered LEDs with a dot-matrix display (like on the ROG Phones) instead of abandoning the feature altogether. But if that is the case – where is this display? It's possible that the display is hiding under a translucent material, but we'll have to wait for more information.

The Nothing Phone (3) will cost 'around £800', according to founder and CEO Carl Pei. That converts to $1,080/€945/₹93,000. The company will also launch its first over-ear headphones (those won't be cheap either).

Huawei Pura 80 Pro and Pro+ pack 1" 50MP cams and 48MP periscopes, Pura 80 tags along

Huawei has introduced its next generation Pura 80 series – they flaunt 1' sensors, more processing power, bigger batteries, improved satellite communication and more. Note that there are four new models and we will cover the first three here, the Ultra model is discussed in a separate post. The Huawei Pura 80 is the smallest of the family with a flat 6.6' display (1,256 x 2,760px). Advancing battery tech gives this phone 5,600mAh capacity. This is with 66W fast wired and 50W fast wireless charging. Huawei Pura 80 The Huawei Pura 80 Pro and Pura 80 Pro+ have larger 6.8' displays with quad-curved glass (the screens themselves look flat, though). All Pura 80 models have LTPO OLED displays (1-120Hz) with 10-bit colors and second-generation Kunlun Glass. Huawei Pura 80 Pro The Pros also have slightly larger batteries at 5,700mAh. The big upgrade here is the faster charging – 100W wired and 80W wireless. Note that the vanilla model has a USB 2.0 port, the Pro and Pro+ have USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports. Huawei Pura 80 Pro+ Huawei doesn't say what chipsets are used in the Pura 80 series, only claiming that the Ark Engine in the Pro and Pro+ makes them 36% faster than their predecessors. The vanilla and Pro models have 12GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB storage. The Pro+ has 16GB of RAM and skips the 256GB storage variant, offering only 512GB and 1TB instead. Huawei Pura 80 Pro and Pro+: 6.8' 1-120Hz LTPO displays • 5,700mAh batteries with 100W/80W charging The camera setup is where it gets good. The vanilla Pura 80 has a 50MP main with a variable f/1.4-f/4.0 aperture and OIS (sensor size unknown). There is also a 12MP periscope with 5.5x zoom/125mm focal length and an f/3.4 lens with OIS. Also on the back are a 13MP ultra-wide camera (13mm) and a 1.5MP multi-channel spectrum sensor. The selfie camera is the same on all Pura 80 models – a 13MP sensor behind an ultra-wide f/2.0 lens with autofocus. The Huawei Pura 80 Pro and Pro+ have 1' 50MP main cameras (f/1.6-f/4.0 variable aperture, OIS). The telephoto camera is also upgraded with a higher resolution sensor at 48MP and a slightly shorter 4x/93mm lens with a wider f/2.1 aperture and tele-macro capabilities (and OIS, of course). The ultra-wide camera is upgraded to a 40MP sensor (13mm lens) and the 1.5MP spectrum sensor is also on board. 1' 50MP cameras on the Huawei Pura 80 Pro and Pro+ Huawei has upgraded the satellite messaging capabilities of the Pura phones. The Pura 80 and 80 Pro support the Beidou constellation – they can send and receive messages, but they can also send photos! The Beidou system can also send news and alerts in case of emergency. The Huawei Pura 80 Pro+ supports dual satellite communication – Beidou and Tiantong. Interestingly, the phone can remain connected to a satellite without you having to actively point it at the satellite. Two-way satellite communication • AI assisted photo composition Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7 (be) at 2.4GHz and 5GHz, Bluetooth 5.2 (LDAC, L2HC), NFC and NearLink (aka SparkLink), which is a Huawei-led effort to develop an alternative to Bluetooth. The phones are rated IP68 for submersion (up to 2m) and IP69 for high-temperature water jets. The Huawei Pura 80 Pro and Pro+ are available in China starting today – we have listed the prices of the various storage tiers below, plus a conversion to USD. The vanilla Pura 80 isn't available just yet. Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge wannabe proves you can fit a bigger battery in a slim body

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is very slim, but has a small battery | Image credit: PhoneArena The Galaxy S25 Edge is Samsung's thinnest smartphone at just 5.8mm. Because it's so slim, the South Korean company had issues packing a bigger battery inside the phone. Truth be told, Samsung could have included a bigger battery with the Galaxy S25 Edge if it went for a silicon-carbon battery instead of its traditional lithium-ion Infinix, a Chinese company that makes phones for dozens of markets in Asia, Middle East and Africa, proves that it's possible to fit a bigger battery in a very slim body. Infinix's next smartphone, the Hot 60 Pro+, will have a 5,160 mAh battery, GSMArena reports. What makes the phone stand out is the fact that it's only 5.95mm thick and weighs just 154.6g. In comparison, the Galaxy S25 Edge is 5.8mm thick and weighs 163.8g, so while Samsung's flagship is thinner, it's also slightly heavier than Infinix's smartphone probably because of the premium materials it uses (and the lithium-ion battery?). Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge vs. Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ | Image credit: GSMArena It's also worth noting that Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge's 3,900 mAh battery supports 25W wired charging speeds, while Infinix Hot 60 Pro+'s 5,160 mAh battery supports 33W wired charging though Infinix's Hot 60 Pro+ is almost just as slim as the Galaxy S25 Edge and slightly lighter, it's no match for Samsung's flagship when it comes to hardware. But that's alright, not all phones must have top-tier specs. For starters, Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G200 Ultimate chipset, paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. This is a rather new chipset that's to be used in mid-range phones. Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ key specs | Image credit: GSMArena We don't know the size of the phone's display yet, but we do know it features a curved panel with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution. As far as the camera goes, Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ has at least one 50-megapixel main camera and a 13-megapixel selfie snapper. Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ is a good example of a company willing to adopt new technologies in order to make its products stand out. Samsung has yet to use silicon-carbon batteries in its flagships, but that might change next year when the Galaxy S26 is expected to be released.

The new vivo T4 Ultra packs a 3x periscope and Dimensity 9300+ chipset

vivo is adding an Ultra member to the T4 series – what does this phone have to earn this moniker? Well, a telephoto camera for one (the first telemacro in the segment, vivo says) and a surprisingly high-end chipset. vivo T4 Ultra The vivo T4 Ultra is powered by the Dimensity 9300+, which was used in the likes of last year's vivo X100s Pro – one of the top phones from vivo in 2024. The T4 Ultra doesn't have X100s-class cameras, but it certainly has its siblings beat – the T4x from March is powered by a Dimensity 7300 and the T4 from April has a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. Both feature 50MP main cameras with small sensors (and OIS on the T4) plus 2MP helper cameras. The Ultra packs a 50MP Sony IMX921-based main camera (a 1/1.56' sensor seen in the X200s among others). This is behind an f/1.88 lens with OIS. The star of the show is the 50MP periscope with 3x magnification (f/2.55 lens with OIS) and an IMX882 sensor (1/1.95'). This has a 10x telephoto macro mode and OIS+EIS stabilization for video. Finally, there is an 8MP ultra-wide camera and an Aura Light. The selfie camera is a 32MP unit (f/2.45). The T4 Ultra has the smallest display in the series with a 6.67' diagonal, but it's the best panel yet – a quad-curved 1260p+ OLED with 10-bit colors and 120Hz refresh rate. It can reach up to 5,000 nits peak local brightness, peak global brightness is 1,600 nits. There is an under-display fingerprint reader of the optical variety. The T4 features a massive 7,300mAh battery, the T4x is a step down at 6,500mAh on the T4. The Ultra has the smallest battery in the family with only 5,500mAh capacity. Well, 'only'. That is paired with fast 90W charging, but the same is true of the T4 too. On the plus side, the Ultra is thinner and lighter at 7.43mm and 192g (193g for the Phoenix Gold variant), compared to 8.1mm and 204g on the T4x. And the Ultra has a heavier glass back too, not plastic. However, ingress protection is still middle of the road with an IP64 rating. The Ultra is available in three configurations: 8/256GB, 12/256GB and 12/512GB. This is with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The Dimensity 9300+ is cooled by a 43.62cm² vapor chamber. The phone launches with FuntouchOS 15 (Android 15) and will receive 2 OS updates and a total of 3 years of security patches. vivo T4 Ultra in Phoenix Gold and Meteor Grey The vivo T4 Ultra is manufactured in India and will be available from vivo India, Flipkart and offline retailers. It's on pre-order right now, open sales start on June 18 (Wednesday next week). The pricing is below (with conversion to USD), but note that as a launch day promo you can get a flat ₹3,000 discount and ₹5,000 trade-in bonus with select bank cards. vivo T4 Ultra Price (INR) Price (USD) 8/256GB ₹38,000 $445 12/256GB ₹40,000 $470 12/512GB ₹42,000 $490 vivo T4x vivo T4 5G Source
