The 22-year-old, who found fame as a child when she appeared on Dance Moms, has opened up on her relationship with the former Love Island star and admitted that she is in 'pain' from 'smiling so much'.
Their bond began on Celebrity Big Brother in April 2025, where they quickly became close allies. The duo entered the house as strangers, but over 21 days, they developed a close bond that quickly became a focal point of the season.
At first, they both described their relationship as platonic, with JoJo referring to Hughes as a 'soulmate friend'. However, since the finale of the show, their relationship appeared to take a turn with public displays of affection, including cuddly photos and shared moments with Siwa's family.
Laying all her cards on the table, JoJo has now revealed to The Guardian that they are more than just friends. She said: 'It's not platonic any more, and it's been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I'm absolutely head over heels for him, and he's the same way.'
Responding to the allegations that their relationship was just a 'PR stunt', the performer said: 'Clearly, you've never been around us. I won't ever speak for him, but for me personally, the happiness in my life just radiates off of me right now. Literally yesterday, I was massaging my cheeks; I've never been in pain from smiling so much.'
Discussing her break-up with Kath Ebbs, who split in April 2025 during the wrap party for Celebrity Big Brother, JoJo said she is 'choosing peace' despite Ebbs expressing they felt blindsided and humiliated by the split.
Opening up on her sexuality, JoJo stated that 'queer' best encompasses how she is currently feeling as she is navigating her sexuality. The star said: 'There's a lot of different sexual identities. I think there's nothing more beautiful than somebody discovering themselves.'
JoJo added: 'You can't help who you love.'
Fans couldn't be happier for the Dance Moms star as one person commented on social media: 'You and Chris just look so happy together, you were meant to be', while another added: 'Yall are so cute together'.

When she was 22, Sophie was involved in a fire breathing accident in the US, which saw her suffer life-changing burns. The ordeal occurred in 2018 when an air conditioning unit blew flames into her face while she was performing at an event in Chicago. In an interview with The Sun, Sophie opened up about the terrifying experience. 'The air-con was too strong so when I blew the fire out it blew back to me. It set me on fire. I just remember being in so much pain, I blacked out for a little bit. It's crazy,' she said. 'It happened in front of everyone and I had to get on with it as professionally and quickly as I could. As soon as I got into the ambulance, I was in bits.' She added: 'That was a scary, scary time. I couldn't breathe by myself, I couldn't eat, I couldn't really see, it was scary. I was pretty out of it but on day two I looked in the mirror and just cried.' Sophie spent a month in intensive care in the US by herself while she was treated for the burns. She needed life support machines to help her breathe, and was in and out of consciousness. After the accident, Lucy also underwent keloid surgery on her face. She shared a video of her recovery on Instagram earlier this year, saying 'Although my tumour was benign and not cancerous, I had to endure stages of Chemo Injections as part of my treatment and I can first hand say that it was the hardest and most testing time of my life that I've ever experienced.' She added: 'I want to take this opportunity to wish all the families who have been affected by cancer my deepest love and prayers, I know how hard it is to remain hopeful during dark times of uncertainty. I'm grateful for all the support and love I have received from sharing my journey on this platform and I hope to continue to be a positive example that there is light at the end of the tunnel.' Yes! According to reports in The Sun, the incident took place in February when 'masked thugs stormed a wake in Stafford and hacked at a dad' who 'nearly lost his arm.' Additionally, someone else was glassed, one struck with a metal pole, and two people were run over by a car. Ashman was one of two suspects questioned about the incident. 'This was a horrific attack which could have been even worse,' a source told The Sun. 'Ashman may have signed up to one of the biggest shows on TV with this hanging over his head.' According to insiders, ITV were unaware of the incident until the publication raised it, and it was not flagged as part of the contestant checks. Now, the decision has been made to part ways with Ashman. Other confirmed contestants for series 12 of Love island include former fire breather Sophie Lee and personal trainer Aaron Buckett.

Megan Moore will be stepping into the Love Island villa on Monday and has revealed why she dropped out of last year's series. The payroll specialist, who goes by Meg, is one of the 12 new islanders to jet off to Mallorca and star in the newest instalment of the ITV show. Meg had applied for 2024's season but didn't end up entering the villa. Now, she has admitted she 'felt like I wouldn't really have fitted in'. The 25-year-old from Southampton continued living her normal life until she was approached again this year and thought, 'what have I got to lose?' She explained: 'So I applied and did a few Teams interviews or Zoom and then I went up to London, and obviously met the casting, had an interview with them.' The new islander went on, 'We've been on no dates, I'm still single, so what have I got to lose?' This series marks the tenth anniversary of the ITV show and despite there being plenty of stars in the villa, Meg admitted she hasn't really 'looked up' to any of the previous islanders and celebrities. Instead, she feels like 'you just have to be you' and get to know others for who they really are. 'I think you take you for you, and I think that's what people need to do, and that's what I'll be doing anyway, because I don't think you should change for anyone,' she added. Meg explained: 'And when you say, look up to people like I look up to people in my family, I'll look up to my mum. 'She doesn't have a man, but that's the type of person I'd look up to, to have the same traits as her. So when it comes to celebrities and islanders, no, you just gotta be you.' Meg boasts a strong social media following and regularly posts photographs of her travels. She hopes to meet someone 'tall with a nice tan' who has a good fashion sense and a funny personality to match her own.
