Apple to launch major Siri AI upgrade with iOS 26.4 by March 2026

Apple is getting ready to launch a major upgrade to Siri by March 2026, and this time, it promises to be more than just a voice assistant. According to online reports, the new Siri will roll out with iOS 26.4, and it will be powered by advanced artificial intelligence.
This new version of Siri won't just answer simple questions or set alarms. Instead, it will understand context better, handle complex tasks, and even use on-screen content to give smarter responses. In short, Siri is becoming a lot more like ChatGPT or Google Assistant, but with a unique Apple twist.
Apple first showcased the new AI-powered Siri at its WWDC 2024 event and promoted it heavily with the iPhone 16. Many users were excited and expected to use the smarter Siri soon after buying their phones. But Apple announced a delay in March 2025, and since then, there has been a lot of speculation about when the update would finally arrive.
The main reason behind the delay was technical challenges. Apple engineers tried to combine the old Siri system with new AI features, but it didn't work well. In testing, this hybrid version failed about 33% of the time. So, Apple decided to rebuild Siri using its own large language model (LLM) to improve performance and reliability. What to expect?
The new Siri will do more than just answer questions. It will act like a smart helper, understand your actions, and assist in real time. It can handle many tasks at once, such as setting reminders, sending messages, and opening apps using a single command. Apple is also working on a chatbot called Knowledge and a background mode called Siri Copilot that gives suggestions and helps with daily tasks. What's next?
Apple says it's in no rush to release these features until they're fully ready. Executives have made it clear: they'd rather get it right than launch too soon and disappoint users. With competitors like Google and Microsoft pushing ahead in AI, Apple wants Siri to be both powerful and reliable.
If things go as planned, Apple users could finally see a smarter, more helpful Siri in early 2026, changing how we use our devices every day.

CEO Sundar Pichai compares Google's AI race 'comeback' and demand for his resignation to coaching Barcelona or Real Madrid

Google CEO Sundar Pichai has responded to Google's criticism of 'losing' the AI race after the launch of ChatGPT as well as reports that demanded his resignation, saying that he had a "good sense of what we were building internally." Pichai acknowledged the widespread perception that Google was 'definitively losing the AI race' and had 'lost its magic touch' during a period marked by a bunch of articles suggesting he should step down. "Look, lots to unpack. The main bet I made as a CEO was to really make sure the company was approaching everything in a AI-first ourselves up to develop AGI responsibly and make sure we are putting out products which embodies things that are very, very useful for people," Pichai said recently on Lex Fridman's podcast when he was "So look, I knew, even through moments like that last year, I had a good sense of what we were building internally. So I'd already made many important decisions, bringing together teams of the caliber of Brain, and DeepMind , and setting up Google DeepMind ," he added. Pichai says he is 'good at tuning out noise' When asked about low points during that challenging period, Pichai highlighted his ability to "tune out noise," drawing an analogy to coaching a major sports team. "Anytime you're in a situation like that, a few aspects, I'm good at tuning out noise, right, separating signal from noise," Pichai said, adding, "Running Google, you may as well be coaching Barcelona or Real Madrid. You have a bad season." "I'm good at tuning out the noise. I do watch out for signals. It's important to separate the signal from the noise, so there are good people sometimes making good points outside, so you wanna listen to it, you want to take that feedback in. But, internally, you are making a set of consequential decisions." Pichai revealed that internal factors, such as the time it took to "ramp up TPUs" to secure the necessary compute power for scaling large models like Gemini, might not have been appreciated externally. From MIT dropout to AI billionaire: Who is Scale AI's Alexandr Wang?

Alexandr Wang , the CEO and cofounder of Scale AI , has emerged as a significant figure in the artificial intelligence (AI) sector. Born in New Mexico, US, Wang's parents were Chinese immigrants who worked as nuclear physicists at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Before attending college, Wang gained early experience working at Quora. Wang enrolled at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) but left after just one year. He then joined startup accelerator Y Combinator. During his time at Y Combinator in 2016 Wang partnered with Lucy Guo, also a Quora alum, to establish Scale AI. Within two years, both Wang and Guo were recognised in Forbes' "30 Under 30" list for enterprise technology. Soon after this recognition, Guo departed from Scale AI 'due to differences in product vision and road map,' according to a report by Forbes. Though other reports indicate that she was removed from her position. Unicorn status Established in 2016, Scale AI focusses on providing large volumes of accurately labelled data essential for training advanced AI systems, including tools like OpenAI's ChatGPT . The company achieved unicorn status in 2019 after securing $100 million in funding from Peter Thiel's Founders Fund. This was followed by another fundraising round that brought in $580 million, valuing the company at $7 billion. At 24, Wang became the world's youngest self-made billionaire. His co-founder, Lucy Guo, later became the youngest self-made woman billionaire, owing to her stake in Scale AI. ChatGPT as your personal financial advisor- What prompts to ask to plan your salary efficiently

ChatGPT isn't just for coders anymore. It's quietly becoming a no-nonsense tool for personal finance and decision-making, especially when you need blunt, judgment-free advice. In a world where managing money well is non-negotiable, using AI to cut through the noise makes sense. Here's one thing most users don't realise: if you want useful answers, stop being polite. Words like 'please' and 'kindly' won't get you far. ChatGPT works best when you're direct, even harsh. Treat it like a tool, not a person. Start a fresh new chat with ChatGPT. Never mix topics in a single chat with any GPT to avoid hallucinations. Use this as the first prompt: 'Don't bullshit. Keep it straight and to the point. Totally practical and harsh. I want to talk about money.' (You can throw in some cuss words too. Remember the harsher you are, the better the results.) -What's your current monthly income (in-hand)? -Monthly expenses? -Savings and investments? -Any debts or EMIs? -Any upcoming large expenses? -What financial goal or question are you staring at? Make sure you share this data accurately. A lot depends on this initial data. If you are concerned about data privacy then note you can always delete chats and even delete 'memory' of your ChatGPT user profile. Mobile Finder: iPhone 17 Air expected to debut later this year Here's my monthly income: (INSERT). Build me a simple budget that covers rent, food, savings, and fun. Expense tracker: These are the regular expenses and subscriptions I'm paying for (INSERT LIST). Which ones should I cancel or change based on usage and priority? Test me: Ask me 5 practical questions to find out where and how I'm spending and overs-spending my money unknowingly and suggest ways to stop. Savings: I want to save (INSERT Amount in INR) in (X) days. Create the plan to make this savings possible. Be harsh and absolutely practical. Emergency Fund: Create a total emergency financial plan for me to make sure that I don't suffer even if I lose my job or I'm unable to work. Retirement planning: Consider inflation, current geo-political tension, USD and INR future projections to suggest a retirement plan by (X) age. Financial test: Ask me tough questions about my lifestyle and spending habits to rate my financial health. Create a scorecard and let me know my financial reality compared to my peers. Give me clear and concise practical steps to improve my financial health. Debt: This is my income and current debt (INSERT). Plan my money to pay bills, build savings, and enjoy life within my means. Here's a practical example on how to leverage ChatGPT to improve your personal financial health. The first step to financial stability is knowing where your money goes. ChatGPT can help you break down your income, expenses, and savings goals into a clear monthly budget. Prompt to use: 'Help me create a monthly budget. My salary is ₹60,000, and I pay ₹15,000 in rent, ₹5,000 in bills, and spend ₹10,000 on groceries and commute. I want to save ₹10,000 monthly.' ChatGPT will offer a balanced allocation, suggest areas to cut back, and even recommend budgeting methods like the 50/30/20 rule. Staying aware of spending habits is key to curbing unnecessary expenses. You can use ChatGPT to categorise your past transactions or suggest tools that integrate with spreadsheets or apps. Prompt to use: 'Give me a template to track and categorise my daily expenses in Excel.' It can generate a ready-to-use structure, with columns for date, category, amount, and payment mode. Unplanned events can drain your finances. Ask ChatGPT how much you should set aside based on your lifestyle and income, and how to build that fund gradually. Prompt to use: 'I earn ₹75,000 per month. How can I build an emergency fund worth 6 months' expenses within a year?' You'll get a month-by-month saving plan tailored to your goals. Whether it's a credit card, education loan, or home EMI, ChatGPT can assist in prioritising which debts to pay first, and simulate repayment schedules. Prompt to use: 'I have a ₹1.5 lakh credit card debt at 36% interest and a ₹3 lakh education loan at 9%. Which should I pay first and how?' It can guide you through the debt avalanche or snowball methods with clarity. For first-time investors, ChatGPT can demystify stocks, mutual funds, SIPs, and even help compare options based on your risk profile. Prompt to use: 'I want to start investing ₹5,000 per month. What are my low-risk options?' It will outline SIPs, PPFs, or FD ladders, along with pros and cons. Using ChatGPT smartly can be like having a financial coach in your pocket. While it's not a replacement for a certified financial planner, it's a great starting point to build financial discipline and clarity.
