Three shocking secrets at Glastonbury festival including X-rated locations and low-key gig few know about

Daily Mail4 hours ago

The Glastonbury Festival, which is currently underway, is best known for hosting world-renowned music acts, its infamously muddy fields and its laid back vibe.
But now a TikTok creator has revealed three locations at the festival that most people are likely unaware of.
The content creator, called @adrenalinefuelled, shared the locations in a video on the platform titled 3 Secret Things at Glastonbury.
Accompanying the clip was a short caption which read: 'Do you know this?'
The video featured video footage of various areas of the festival while a voice over described what the moving imagery was showing.
It started showing what looked like a run-down building called 'Atlantic Meats', which had what appeared at first glance to be animal carcasses hanging outside the front.
According to the voiceover: 'This is a gay club - you can probably guess from the subtle hints scattered around.
'You're only allowed in if you've got a mustache, but you can buy one for £2.50 at the door.'
The creator provided some additional x-rated information about the club - including the presence of a 'pitch black' room which is 'full of people, mainly men, getting very friendly with each other'.
Festival goers interested in attending the club should head to block nine where they can find it, he added, noting: 'Just go when it's dark and bring a mustache.'
Moving onto the next little known location, he said: 'Another unique place is this Lost Horizon sauna.
'So most people in here are wearing completely nothing, but you are allowed to wear clothes inside.
'They've got showers, swings, they've got trampolines [...] it's also got a stage with artists performing all day, so you can sit there with nothing on and watch someone perform, which is a really unique experience, so I hear.
'If you fancy it [it's] in the teepee field. So grab a look. '
Finally, he moved onto the third lesser-known place: the secret Piano Bar.
'If you walk to the top of the field with the stone circle in it, you'll see this fence, and it's through there,' he said.
'No one really knows when it opens. But just wait around there when it's dark and you will have a strange night. You never know what you'll be seeing there.'
Many people who want to attend the festival find it impossible to get their hands on the highly-valued tickets, so it used to be somewhat common for people to try and sneak in for free, by finding a weak spot in the festival's fence and leaping over for an entirely free weekend of music.
However, since security was seriously beefed up in 2000, those attempting to do the same when Britain's biggest music festival kicks off on Wednesday could find themselves serving time at HMP Glastonbury.
The Somerset festival, started by Michael Eavis in September 1970 and now in the hands of his daughter Emily, has security that's more expensive than that afforded to the royal family, reports The Times.
Some 200,000 people have descended on Worthy Farm this week, with the average ticket price costing around £380 to see the 2025 headliners - The 1975, Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo.
However, those who try and find other ways to enter the 1,000 acre-site without paying will first have to penetrate Glastonbury's 7.8km fence, which towers 4 metres high.
At various points around the site, there are also watchtowers, with security staff keeping an eye on goings on both inside and outside of the perimeter.
Security is likely to be a major priority for Emily Eavis this year after hundreds of people snuck in with fake wristbands, costing just £50, and by vaulting the fences in 2024, causing stages to be shut down from overcrowding.

Models lured to sick 'Porta-Potty' Dubai parties by men lavishing them with gifts

Dubai is known for its glitzy lifestyle that draws hundreds of social media influencers and reality TV stars - but inside, there's a dark secret that has sparked concern for the welfare of women travelling to the popular tourism hotspot. Models have been lured to sick 'Porta-Potty' parties by men lavishing them with gifts as we look at inside Dubai's dark underbelly. These twisted gatherings - reportedly organised by wealthy men - lure young models and influencers with promises of tens of thousands of pounds, luxury gifts, and lavish hotel stays, reports the Mirror. ‌ But behind the glitz lies a horrifying truth, including acts of extreme sexual degradation, physical abuse, and potential legal peril for the women involved. An influencer sparked concern on TikTok after sharing extravagant gifts bought for her by a stranger she met at the gym on Wednesday. ‌ Jade, who goes by @outplayedbyjade online, is originally from France but travelled to Dubai as she documented her trip online. In her video, she explained how she had been leaving the gym when workers approached her with a gift from someone she had met on the treadmill. "I didn't think much of it," she explained in the video. A worker handed her a bouquet of flowers and chocolate from the man she had struck up a conversation with. Flattered, she texted the number he had left with the gift to thank him, after which she then received a call from a shop assistant at the luxury jewellery designer store Van Cleef & Arpels. "I'm a very curious girl, so I make my way over to the shop," she explained. "This assistant pulls out a beautiful bracelet and a matching necklace." All together, the gifts were worth around £3,000. And while Jade was over the moon with her gifts, fans were quick to warn the influencer that he was a "professional" and to "be careful" amid reports of men recruiting women for " Porta-Parties" in Dubai. ‌ There was no information to confirm the intentions of the man spoiling Jade. Maria Kovalchuk, a 20-year-old Ukrainian adult model, who was reportedly left for dead after attending one of the Porta-Potty parties. Maria vanished after telling her mother she'd been invited to stay overnight with two men claiming to be modelling agents. She never made her flight to Thailand. ‌ Ten days later, on March 19, she was found dumped at the roadside in Dubai, suffering from a shattered spine, broken limbs, and severe internal injuries. Maria has undergone multiple surgeries, and her family, now at her bedside, are desperate for answers. It's thought she is still recovering from her injuries. ‌ Dubai Police confirmed that Maria is receiving medical care, but claimed she 'entered a restricted construction site alone and fell from a height'. A statement many find hard to accept, given the disturbing rumours swirling around her disappearance. Russian lawyer Katya Gordon, who has followed the case closely, bluntly alleged: "Model Maria Kovalchuk was found dying on the side of the road in the UAE after a party. The scandal with the Porta Potty parties has been raging for over a year." Gordon and others allege that Maria may have been forced to take part in a sex act involving human faeces - a central theme of these "Porta-Potty" events, where humiliation and abuse are part of the package. ‌ These parties reportedly involve women being paid vast sums of money to perform grotesque acts involving bodily fluids, degradation and pain. Viral videos have helped expose this shadowy world, but the abuse is largely hidden by Dubai's shiny reputation and strict censorship laws. And the women involved in these parties could even find themselves prosecuted. Radha Stirling, CEO of Detained in Dubai, has warned that women involved in these parties - even against their will - could face charges of adultery or indecency, especially if married men are present. ‌ "Sex outside marriage has been legalised in Dubai, but organisers have exploited this. Women think they're attending a private party - instead, they're thrown into horrific, dangerous situations with real legal risk," Stirling said. Maria's mother told Ukrainian media: "She has no documents, no phone, nothing. She's had three operations. She can't speak. We were told she went to a party, but the promoter claims he never saw her. We're terrified of what really happened." Mo Chara says ‘I'm a free man' as Kneecap take to Glastonbury stage

Kneecap member Mo Chara said 'Glastonbury, I'm a free man' as the Irish rap trio took to the West Holts Stage at the festival on Saturday. The group, who hail from Belfast, have been in the headlines after member Liam Og O hAnnaidh, who performs under the name Mo Chara, was charged with a terror offence. The 27-year-old wore a keffiyeh during the set, while member JJ O Dochartaigh, who performs under the name DJ Provai, wore his signature tri-coloured balaclava as well as a T-shirt that said: 'We are all Palestine Action' in reference to the soon-to-be banned campaign group. News broadcasts criticising the hip hop trio played from the sound system before they walked onto the stage were booed by the Glastonbury Festival audience. Access to the area around the West Holts Stage was closed around 45 minutes before their performance after groups of fans arrived to form a sea of Irish and Palestinian flags. Rap punk duo Bob Vylan performed on the stage before Kneecap and led the crowd in chants of 'Free, free Palestine' and 'Death, death to the IDF'. In the run up to the festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset, several politicians called for Kneecap to be removed from the line-up and Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer said their performance would not be 'appropriate'. Earlier on Saturday, the BBC confirmed they would not be live-streaming the set but said the performance is likely to be made available on-demand later. A BBC spokesperson said: 'As the broadcast partner, the BBC is bringing audiences extensive music coverage from Glastonbury, with artists booked by the festival organisers. 'While the BBC doesn't ban artists, our plans ensure that our programming meets our editorial guidelines. 'We don't always live-stream every act from the main stages and look to make an on-demand version of Kneecap's performance available on our digital platforms, alongside more than 90 other sets.' It is understood the BBC needs to consider the performance before making a final decision. The band said on Instagram: 'The propaganda wing of the regime has just contacted us…. 'They WILL put our set from Glastonbury today on the iPlayer later this evening for your viewing pleasure.' O hAnnaidh, 27, was charged with allegedly displaying a flag in support of proscribed terrorist organisation Hezbollah, while saying 'up Hamas, up Hezbollah' at a gig in November last year. On June 18 the rapper was cheered by hundreds of supporters as he arrived with bandmates Naoise O Caireallain and O Dochartaigh at Westminster Magistrates' Court in Free Mo Chara T-shirts. He was released on unconditional bail until the next hearing at the same court on August 20. Ahead of the group's performance, Gemma Gibson, 41, from Newcastle told the PA news agency that she was 'really excited' to see Kneecap perform. Asked if their set should have been cancelled amid the ongoing controversy, she said: 'Well, that would be completely against everything that Glastonbury stands for… This is where they should be.' Alternative metal band Deftones were due to play on Saturday night but their slot has now been filled by rapper Skepta. A social media post from Glastonbury Festival said: 'Deftones have been forced to cancel tonight's 8.30pm Other Stage performance due to illness in the band. 'Skepta will kindly step-in, taking the stage at 9pm. 'He says: 'Let's go!!! No crew, no production but am ready to shut Glastonbury down. Victory lap time. Pre-Big Smoke 2025!'' Playing on Saturday afternoon was Leeds rock band Kaiser Chiefs and US star Brandi Carlile, who released an album with Sir Elton John earlier in the year. Irish singer CMAT, who played the Pyramid Stage on Friday, performed a secret set at the BBC Introducing stage on Saturday. Neil Young, best known for songs such as Rockin' In The Free World, Like A Hurricane and Cinnamon Girl, will headline the Pyramid Stage on Saturday night with his band the Chrome Hearts. The BBC will broadcast Young's set after previously saying it would not be shown 'at the artist's request'. Another act expected to draw a big crowd is Brat star Charli XCX, who will headline the Other Stage around the same time Young and Grammy Award-winning rapper Doechii will also perform. Celebrities who have been spotted at the festival include singer Harry Styles, Oscar-winning actor Eddie Redmayne, The Crown actor Emma Corrin, and Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn. Performing in the coveted Sunday legends slot this year is Sir Rod Stewart, who previously said he will be joined by his former Faces band member Ronnie Wood, as well as other guests.
