Cherki sends brutal message to Man Utd after Man City move - 'I didn't like it'

Rayan Cherki is out to avenge Lyon's heartbreaking Europa League exit at the hands of Manchester United after joining the Red Devils' arch-rivals in the transfer window
Manchester City new boy Rayan Cherki has vowed to 'kill' Manchester United when he dons the blue shirt next season after Ruben Amorim 's side crushed his Europa League dreams.
Cherki, 21, joined the former Premier League champions in a £31million deal earlier this week as Pep Guardiola continues to overhaul a squad that were completely outgunned by Liverpool in the race for the domestic crown last season.

And Cherki, still smarting from Lyon's heartbreaking European exit at the hands of the red half of Manchester, has instantly endeared himself to his new fans by taking aim at United.

'I don't like when Manchester United won the game against Lyon because I am a Lyonnais [he was born in Lyon]. Now I am waiting for the game [to] kill them,' he said.
Cherki is regarded as one of the most exciting prospects in Europe after a stellar season with the French giants, including a goal in the dramatic 5-4 loss against United in the Europa League quarter-finals.
He goaded United fans by grabbing his crotch in celebration before a late, late show left Cherki and Lyon with broken hearts. The attacking midfielder now has his sights set on far grander prizes after swapping Lyon for Manchester and will star for Guardiola's new-look side at the FIFA Club World Cup before participating in the Champions League.
And the ultra-confident France star also has his sights set on the Ballon d'Or, too. 'When you see Rodri here, he won the Ballon d'Or — it's clear tht with Manchester City it's possible and I am here for this,' Cherki added.
'I want to win everything with City. When I spoke with Pep [Guardiola] he said he wanted me. He was very, very clear [on that] and the system, the club, the city is very good for me.'

Cherki's arrival coincides with the departure of club legend, Kevin De Bruyne, who brought the curtain down on a decade of brilliance last month. The exciting attacker insists he is not a ready-made replacement for the Napoli-bound maestro, though. 'I'm not Kevin de Bruyne - he's the legend (of the club),' he said.
'I'm here to help the team. We have the best players in the world. I work and I wait my turn. I spoke with Pep about my position on the pitch and we spoke about what I enjoy when I'm on the pitch. It's very good for me. He told me he loves a No10, but now I play all the positions in the pitch - so it's not complicated because I just want to play.
'Pep told me, 'When you have the ball, you are free' which is very good for me because it's my first quality to help the team.'

Tyson Fury fires off message to Carlos Tevez after wild Soccer Aid performance

The former Argentina international shocked Fury after scoring four goals to help guide the World XI to victory on Sunday evening at Old Trafford Tyson Fury was left lost for words after being blown away by former Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez 's performance at Soccer Aid. The highly anticipated charity match took place at the sold-out Old Trafford in Manchester - with the clash ending 5-4 to World XI FC. Team England got off to the perfect start as Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney scored the fastest ever goal in Soccer Aid history in the fourth minute. On the stroke of half-time, Toni Duggan made it 2-0 to England with a brilliant finish to beat Edwin van der Sar. ‌ England threatened to run away with the game after Jermaine Defoe scored just after the break to make it 3-0. However, the game turned on its head when Tevez was brought on, scoring two goals just minutes apart for World XI. Defoe would go on to score his second of the game before Tevez bagged another two to level the contest at 4-4. Heading into the final minutes, Big Zuu stunned fans by scoring a late winner for the World XI. ‌ Fury was heavily involved in last night's match after co-managing the England team alongside Rooney. An avid United fan, the former two-time heavyweight champion was left gobsmacked by Tevez's display at Old Trafford. Fury quickly praised the Argentine this morning - despite the latter making a name for himself in the blue half of Manchester during the peak fo his powers. On Monday morning, Fury shared his reaction to the match - which raised millions for charity. In a story uploaded to Instagram, he said: "Morning run in the bay. After a long and busy day yesterday, managing England. We did not get the result we wanted, but everybody played well and played hard and we raised a lot of money for a great cause. "So, I am very proud of everybody who took part. And well done to every body... especially Carlos Tevez! Wow. Banging in hat-tricks and stuff. He has still got it. Had a fantastic day. Big shout out to all the organisers at UNICEF and Soccer Aid, but here we are today, back in the bay, back in good old Lancashire... keeping it real!" However, not everyone was full of praise for Tevez. YouTuber and Manchester United supporter Angry Ginge hit out at the City icon after being on the receiving end of a nasty injury on Sunday evening. In the second half, Ginge - real name Morgan Burtwistle - and Tevez battled for possession on the edge of the England box. The two players went to ground, but replays showed that the former Argentina international was unhappy with the challenge from Angry Ginge and appeared to have a slight kick out at the defender before eventually shaking hands with the 23-year-old. After the game, though, Ginge was seemingly not too pleased with the challenge by Tevez. Sharing a picture of his leg badly cut in the dressing room, the YouTuber and streamer wrote: "Cheers Tevez, t***." Despite the injury and his team losing, Burtwistle received a lot of praise for his efforts on the pitch and was eventually named player-of-the-match by comedian and Manchester City supporter Jason Manford on commentary. During the match, Fury made the headlines after his colourful language forced ITV presenters to issue multiple apologies to viewers on Sunday. The former world heavyweight champion delivered an expletive-filled speech whilst co-managing the England team. Fury exclaimed: "We are England! We are f****** Spartans!" Immediately after Fury's comments, both Alex Scott and fellow presenter Dermot O'Leary were forced to apologise on air for any offence caused by the swearing. The former Lionesses full-back said: "We do apologise for the swearing. It's Tyson, we don't know what's going to happen." The 'Gypsy King' then swore again in the middle of the first half, prompting another apology from ITV, with Scott promising to "have a word with him afterwards".

10 transfers stories in new window including Man Utd, Liverpool & Arsenal moves

Premier League clubs can now get back to work when it comes to signings. The second transfer window of the summer opened on Monday after a six-day break due to the start of the Club World Cup. And there's already plenty of huge deals in the pipeline. Liverpool look set to smash their transfer record with a £100m+ deal for Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz. Arsenal are also making some additions of their own with the additions of Martin Zubimendi and Kepa Arrizabalaga. They are also keen on adding a new forward to their squad ahead of next season. Manchester United are also after another striker and have a few of the Gunners' targets in mind. Elsewhere, the futures of a number of Premier League stars remain up in the air. With that being said, Mirror Football has taken a look at the players and the storylines that could dominate the remainder of the window. Take a look at where they stand right now: Jack Grealish Axed from Manchester City 's Club World Cup squad, Grealish faces little future at the Etihad Stadium. But with Pep Guardiola 's side having yet to receive any offers for his services, a loan looked more likely. Tottenham, Everton and former club Aston Villa have also been linked, while it has been suggested that Napoli are keen on spending £45m on his signature this summer. Alejandro Garnacho While Napoli are keen on Grealish, they also have an interest in United star Garnacho. Like his cross-city rival, the Argentine looks unlikely to have a future in Manchester after being axed by Ruben Amorim. Garnacho is seen as a better long-term option than Grealish due to his age. Premier League rivals Chelsea and Spurs have also been linked with moves for Garnacho. Who do you think your club could sign this summer? Share your thoughts in the comments below Marcus Rashford Staying in Manchester, the Red Devils also have a tricky decision to make over the future of academy graduate Marcus Rashford. The forward spent the second-half of last season on loan with Aston Villa. They had an option to make that move permanent but chose not to activate that. Since then, Barcelona have been linked but it remains to be seen if they have enough funds available to sign him. Mike Maignan A man who was already on the verge of a move to the Premier League, Chelsea were unable to agree terms with AC Milan for the services of Mike Maignan. But they might not be done quite there. Chelsea are still interested in adding to their goalkeeping ranks following Robert Sanchez's shaky season. AC Milan will attempt to convince Maignan to sign a new deal at the club so it remains to be seen if a move is a realistic prospect. Victor Osimhen Victor Osimhen is another man who knows all about failed moves to Chelsea. The Nigerian striker was strongly linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge last term. However, the Blues were unable to strike a deal with Napoli before Osimhen surprisingly moved to Galatasaray on loan. That deal is set to expire this summer so the potential of a move to West London could rear its head again. Viktor Gyokeres One of the hottest properties in football now, Gyokeres' transfer saga has threatened to turn ugly amid interest from Manchester United and Arsenal. Both Premier League sides have been strongly linked with his services but a deal still appears to be some way off. It has been suggested that Gyokeres could potentially go on strike to force through a move away from Sporting Lisbon, albeit the Portuguese giants have announced that they will not be bullied into selling their star forward. It seems this one could potentially roll on for the remainder of the window. Bryan Mbeumo Despite having already signed Wolves forward Matheus Cunha, United remain keen on signing Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo this summer. A deal does not seem to be too far away with Mbeumo already expressing his desire to move to Old Trafford. But there could however be some late drama with Spurs threatening to hijack a deal, with Thomas Frank keen on being reunited with Mbeumo in North London. Andrew Robertson With the departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold, it would certainly be a surprise to see them let Robertson leave the club. But his future is now up in the air. The imminent signing of Milos Kerkez looks set to shove Robertson down the pecking order, while a number of reports have suggested that Atletico Madrid could make a move. As it stands, talks are at an early stage but a switch could potentially happen. Gianluigi Donnarumma A recently crowned European champion, Donnarumma is arguably the best goalkeeper in the world right now. And PSG are understandably desperate to keep hold of him. But he has just one year left on his deal in the French capital and Man United have been linked with Donnarumma seen as a potential replacement for Andre Onana at Old Trafford. The Italian has reportedly been discussing a Premier League switch with teammates so it could potentially be an option. Álvaro Carreras Having already done deals for Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dean Huijsen this summer, Real Madrid might not be quite done in the transfer market just yet. They have been linked with a move for Benfica star Alvaro Carreras all summer long. But as of yet, they have struggled to agree a deal with the Portuguese giants. Bruno Lage has spoken out and claimed his side will only sell should they get an acceptable offer so this is one that could potentially roll on.
