I've had the real Mamma Mia romance & am madly in love with a Greek waiter – now we're living together
A SINGLETON'S family holiday became a 'Mamma Mia story' when she hooked up with the Greek waiter who poured shots in her mouth - moving there two months later.
Beth Winstone jetted off to Zakynthos, Greece, with her mum and grandma in August 2023 and visited the restaurant her family had gone to every year.

The 23-year-old admits she was not looking to find love after coming out of a 'bad' relationship just months earlier but met Gabriel Alia while he worked as a waiter at his uncle's restaurant.
Beth said Gabriel, 25, took her out for a drink on the third night of her holiday, and she fell in love instantly, meeting with him every day for the remainder of the trip.
But when Beth returned to the UK, she said she got a flight back to Greece only two weeks later to see Gabriel as she didn't want to be apart.
The Greek waiter 'asked Beth to be his girlfriend', and the two have been inseparable since, with Beth claiming she has found true love and that Greek men are 'different' to British men.
The content creator said Gabriel bought her drinks and danced with her, helping her to 'get out of her shell' after her breakup.
Beth, from Birmingham, West Midlands, said: "In August 2023 my grandad died and my gran had already booked to go to Zante and I booked at the last minute, a month before we were meant to go.
"We went back to [a] restaurant [that the family liked to visit] and that's when we met. I was previously in a relationship, it ended and it mentally destroyed me, it was really bad.
"I had absolutely no expectations in my head, I didn't want to speak to anyone ever again and then that happened.
"When we were in the restaurant, I was just sat there oblivious because I wasn't looking for anything. He kept trying to speak to me and asked if I ever smiled because apparently I had a moody face.
"It just went from there, he took me out on the third night of the holiday for a drink. After that, we'd see each other every day of the holiday, in the night after he finished work.
"When I got back home, two weeks later I flew back out on my own for five days, because he was still working.
"I came home and two days later at 2am in the morning I bought tickets for a flight from Manchester to Zante at 6am. I surprised him, he didn't know I was going.
"The first time I went back after two weeks he asked me to be his girlfriend, but I was still a bit unsure because of the long distance. But I said yes, obviously.
"It's the way he was with me, he'd made me laugh and stuff and take me out, not what most men do nowadays, he wanted to get to know me and meet my family and stuff, they loved him. It was meant to be.
"Greek men are different from English men, let me tell you that. I definitely had a Mamma Mia story, that's what all my friends said.
"The relationship is getting better and better, we haven't been apart a day since we met. He is the love of my life."

"We moved back to Greece in November, we got a house in Zante, and then after Christmas we decided to move back to the UK because it was really hard for me to find a job there in the winter.
"We tried both and we decided we like it here more.
"I moved over there just after two months of meeting him but I knew it was something, and it was.
"I absolutely didn't expect to be with a Greek man at all, I was just going on holiday with my mum and gran and my cousin, it all just happened so fast."
Beth explains she had been visiting Zante with family since 2012 and had met Gabriel before when she was younger, but had not recognised him.
Beth posted her and Gabriel's story on social media, in a video that has gathered more than 500,000 views.
One commenter said: "Greek men are built different, you'll be together forever."
Another said: "Marry him & move back to Greece."
A third said: "I witnessed a true love story."

Love Island SPOILER: TWO steamy kisses spell disaster as bombshell game of truth or dare leaves couples hanging in the balance
Wednesday night's episode of Love Island sees two steamy kisses spell disaster as a bombshell game of truth or dare leaves couples hanging in the balance. The ITV2 dating show, presented by Maya Jama, has already seen plenty of explosive arguments and steamy antics since its launch earlier this month. And the upcoming episode will be no different, as the drama at The Sleepover continues. Four Islanders - Emily, Helena, Remell and Dejon - headed off from the main villa in yesterday's instalment for a night away with four new bombshells. They will soon be getting to know the newbies a lot better during a risque game of truth or dare. Remell is dared to kiss an Islander of his choice and he leans in for Poppy. But she later leans in for Dejon, when asked to kiss the person she is most attracted to, other than who she selected to come to The Sleepover. Helena is then soon invited to get into her favourite sex position with Giorgio. Caprice and Dejon share a snog after he is dared to kiss who he is most attracted to - and they both rate it a ten out of ten. When Remell is put in a tricky position, and asked if he would choose Poppy or his current partner Alima at a recoupling, he hesitates - before saying Poppy. As he debriefs the dramatic game with Dejon around the firepit, he says: 'I'm loving the chats with Poppy - flirty, chill… 'I don't want to leave with regrets which is why I'm giving Poppy the time of day.' Dejon reminds him: 'You've got to look long term… whoever you see a long term future with, that's the one you pursue.' He soon airs his own feelings about bombshell with Caprice, as his long-running partner Meg remains back at the main villa: 'What me and Caprice have could be something good but what me and Meg have is something special.' Remell soon makes his move on Poppy as they relax on the sunbeds: 'I've been comfy around you, it's the first time in the villa that I've felt like this so it's telling me something.' After some intense eye contact, they share a steamy kiss - but whether Remell's head is turned for good remains to be seen. Meanwhile, the fallout from Megan's kiss with Conor continues, after they shared the smooch during last night's episode. She recoupled with Tommy on Monday but he was dismayed as she continued to explore a connection with Conor. Megan and Tommy had a row over her flirtation with Conor which left Tommy crying - but soon after, she kissed Conor on the terrace. In tonight's episode, Megan shares news of the kiss with Meg and Alima: 'I kissed Conor on the terrace… 'I was like, "Just f***ing kiss me then…". He was itching to do it.' Meg wonders if Conor has told any of the boys, to which Megan responds: 'He said he wasn't going to. 'I don't regret it though, I don't think I've done anything wrong. I'm not Tommy's girlfriend.' Megan soon pulls Tommy for a chat at The Den to discuss everything that went down, including fellow Islander Harry trying to warn Tommy about her interest in Conor. He begins: 'The thing that annoyed me... in bed, we were talking about Harry and I said, "Look, Megan I do believe you"... I felt really down about what happened.' She replies: 'I don't think you realise how much you upset me … for you to be like, "I don't know", because Harry told you something… you can't take my word for it. 'Well, obviously, I spoke to him on the terrace earlier and we did kiss.' Tommy responds: 'You did kiss, yeah? OK, cool.' She says: 'It's nothing against you but I'm here to explore connections... I didn't have to come and tell you this but I do like you so I am telling you.' As their relationship looks to be going on the rocks, Megan and Conor catch up after their kiss, first discussing his partner Emily. Megan asks: 'How are you gonna deal with the Emily situation?' He replies: 'I'll just tell her, "You know, you've been away a couple of days and you knew I was getting to know Megan and we had a kiss on the terrace".' She responds, slightly worried: 'She's not going to expect that at all… I don't think she expects it from me.' As Emily was also chosen for The Sleepover, Megan continues: 'For all you know, she could come back with one of those two boys… that would make it easier.' Back at The Sleepover, Maya makes a shock entrance - to the complete surprise of the Islanders there. She asks them: 'Having some time away has allowed you to explore new connections but are these connections stronger than what you have with your current partner?' In an ominous reminder, the host adds: 'Actions have consequences.' It comes after Shakira revealed to Harry what Megan had told her about her developing connection with Conor in last night's episode. Back at The Sleepover, Maya (left, with the four new bombshells) makes a shock entrance - to the complete surprise of the Islanders there Shakira told him: 'With Conor, there's sexual chemistry there, maybe not with Tommy but it's growing… '[Megan] said maybe if they would've been coupled up from day one, it would've been a bit different…' Harry then went on to spill the information to Tommy who confronted Conor about how he handled the situation. 'I just think you've been a little bit disrespectful in how you've gone about it', Tommy said. But Conor disagreed, hitting back: 'I don't need to ask your permission before I go in to ask someone who's single where their heads at.' Tommy later had a conversation with Megan, asking: 'Apparently. you were saying you've got way more sexual chemistry with Conor and the thought of a recoupling with him made you buzzing?' Megan denied the claims, arguing: 'What? No! 'There is more sexual tension with Conor because I've not explored anything with him… why the f*** would you believe what Harry said?' Shakira (right) told Harry (left): 'With Conor, there's sexual chemistry there, maybe not with Tommy but it's growing… The disagreement seemed to leave a sour taste as the following morning, Tommy still felt strongly about the situation and had to be consoled by Ben and Harry. Meanwhile, Megan and Conor took the opportunity to develop their romance further and headed to the terrace as Tommy watched. Conor cheekily asked: 'If there was a recoupling right now, who would you recouple with?' Megan made the shocking admission: 'Yesterday, it would've been Tommy but I'm raging with him so today it's you.' She added: 'I wanna get to know you.' Meanwhile, the Islanders left behind at the main villa were reeling as Helena, Emily, Remell and Dejon headed off to The Sleepover with the bombshells. Meg, who has shared a rocky relationship with Dejon so far, commented: 'I've lost my man again.' Alima admitted: 'I'm actually nervous… 'Because we have been taking it so slow, I'm just scared that if someone comes in, gives him exactly what he wants straight away, and that's it.' But Meg seemed to have nothing to fear, as Dejon was soon quizzed about her: 'It's good, we've had a few tests… then we've come out the other side… that's my Meg man.' Bombshell Caprice teased though: 'That's interesting… things can change.'

EXCLUSIVE I've visited EVERY country in the world… here is the travel hack that saved me THOUSANDS
A man who has visited every country in the world has shared a travel hack that has saved him thousands of dollars. Luca Pferdmenges, 23, who is originally from Germany, started traveling when he was just 14. An avid juggler, he would jet off to various cities in Europe to perform at juggling conventions, and along the way, he developed a fierce passion for exploring the globe. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020 and his juggling career came to a halt, he decided that once the world opened back up, he was going to start traveling full-time. He then made it his goal to visit every country on the planet, and just five years later, he's now spent time in all 195 of them. After taking hundreds of flights and staying at hotels, Airbnbs, and hostels all around the world, Luca has wracked up a slew of travel tips for making the experience easier. He's also uncovered a method that he insists has saved him a ton of money. He explained during a recent chat with the Daily Mail that he 'creates his own layovers' when he's traveling, and it's cut the cost of flights down immensely. 'Often, you can travel a lot cheaper by searching from [your location] to [all destinations] (like on a meta search engine like Skyscanner),' he explained. 'And then you go step by step through the cheapest results and try to 'connect' them to another flight. 'So maybe the cheapest flight was to Budapest, then you open another tab and search in Budapest to everywhere. 'Often you will already see connections that were previously very expensive [for much cheaper]. That was one of the best tricks that enabled me to travel very cheaply.' He also said he's saved money by traveling 'off season' and staying in 'hostels' rather than hotels. 'Often, accommodation is the biggest expense in a country,' he explained. And if you do decide to stay in a hotel and you're heading to a big city with tons of options, he said it's best to wait until last minute because they might offer you a good deal to fill up an empty room. 'Often in the big [cities] you can find last minute same-day deals. In those places, there is so much competition among good hotels,' he said. He explained during a recent chat with the Daily Mail that he 'creates his own layovers' when he's traveling, and it's cut the cost of flights down immensely Luca also recommended investing in airport lounge access, whether that means signing up for a credit card or joining an airline loyalty program 'And before a room stays empty all night, they will lower the price throughout the day. I have stayed in five-star hotels in Dubai for 20 euros per person.' Luca also recommended investing in airport lounge access, whether that means signing up for a credit card or joining an airline loyalty program. 'You effectively get a free all-you-can eat at every airport, saving a lot of money on food,' he explained. Lastly, he said it's vital to 'pack as little as possible' since checking a bag often comes with a hefty fee. 'Most of my travels I have done with one backpack only,' shared the travel pro. 'It's lighter, cheaper and more convenient. 'You will never have to wait for your luggage and you're also more flexible.' Luca has documented his journey on Instagram and TikTok, where he's racked up more than 256,000 and 3.1 million followers respectfully. The avid traveler, who says he lives off his social media income, estimated that he's spent around $116,000 on travel expenses over the last five years. In the end, he admitted that he wouldn't recommend living full-time on the road like him to others. He said, 'You're almost never home and it's also a very expensive endeavor' In the end, he admitted that he wouldn't recommend living full-time on the road like him to others. 'I wouldn't recommend it because one does give up a lot for [this lifestyle],' Luca said. 'You're almost never home, don't see friends and family a lot and it's also a very expensive endeavor. 'That said, I'm very grateful that I could afford the travels with social media and it does give me an insane amount of freedom.'

Ten packing hacks to avoid airline carry-on fares this summer
As summer travel ramps up, the prospect of lengthy baggage queues at airports looms large for many holidaymakers. Yet, a growing number of seasoned travellers are sidestepping this common frustration by mastering the art of the carry-on bag. Whether you're jetting off for a weekend getaway or determined to squeeze your long-haul trip into one small suitcase, packing light doesn't mean you need to sacrifice style or essentials. Instead, it demands a more strategic approach to packing. Travel experts, having honed their methods over countless journeys, offer invaluable insights into maximising space and efficiency within the confines of a single carry-on. 1. Pick a suitcase with exterior pockets Picking the right bag makes all the difference. 'Choose a carry-on case with exterior pockets for items you will need in transit,' recommends Fiona Spinks, solo adventurer and founder of Following Fiona. 'A book, snacks or the clear liquid bag can live outside the main compartment so you are not opening the whole case in a crowded queue.' 2. Make a master list 'Start with a master list and tailor it for each trip – beach, city, festival, whatever,' suggests Chelsea Dickenson, founder of Holiday Expert who has partnered with Boots to create packing tips to help the nation get organised this summer. 'I keep mine in my phone notes and update it before every holiday. You only need one extra outfit – not five emergency dresses and 10 pairs of spare knickers.' 3. Invest in some packing cubes Packing cubes free up valuable space. 'One cube holds tops, another holds bottoms and a third keeps underwear separate,' says LP Maurice, travel expert, backpacker and CEO and co-founder of travel website Busbud. 'The cubes act like drawers when you open the bag. Press down on each cube before you zip it to push out any trapped air.' 4. Try the travel pillow trick This creative packing hack has gone viral on TikTok and is a great way to sneak some extra socks and pants onto a plane. 'Take the stuffing out of your travel pillow and fill it with clothes – socks, pants, even pyjamas,' recommends Dickenson. 'No one at the airport will know, and you've just bought yourself extra space in your case and still get a comfy pillow. Just try and stick to the cleaner clothes for your return journey.' 5. Roll your clothes 'Rolling each item instead of folding sounds simple, yet it makes a surprising difference,' says Spinks. 'Rolled clothes stack snugly along your case's length and come out with fewer creases, so you spend less time hunting for an iron at your hotel. 'This method also lets you spot gaps where you can tuck socks or underwear using every corner of the bag.' 6. Limit yourself to two pairs of shoes 'Footwear is always the bulkiest offender, so wear the heaviest pair for the journey so the lighter pair can slot along the side of the case,' recommends Spinks. 'Filling the inside of each shoe with chargers or rolled underwear stops wasted space and keeps the shoes from collapsing.' 7. Fill every single gap Make every little bit of space count. 'Fill the shoes with rolled socks and chargers to stop dead space,' recommends Maurice. Dickenson agrees and says that little things like lining the edges of your suitcase with belts and tucking your jewellery into sunglasses cases can make all the difference. 8. Wear the bulkiest items 'A jacket with deep pockets can carry your phone, headphones and a paperback book,' highlights Maurice. 'That choice removes about 1 kg from your bag and could help you stay warm in an air‑conditioned cabin.' 9. Decant your toiletries into mini bottles 'Switch full-size toiletries for reusable mini bottles and solid versions wherever possible,' recommends Spinks. 'Decanting shampoo and moisturiser into 80ml containers satisfies airline liquid rules and saves you from paying extra for checked baggage just to carry large bottles. 'Solid bars of soap or conditioner slip into any spare corner and never leak over your clothes.' 10. Buy a flat lay makeup bag 'If you're anything like me and tend to spread your makeup and toiletries everywhere, a flat lay bag makes life so much easier,' says Dickenson. 'You just open it up and everything's laid out and visible. No more rooting around for your mascara or leaving half your make-up behind.'
