Knicks know they still need to fix glaring turnover issue entering Game 6
INDIANAPOLIS — Game 5 wasn't perfect for the Knicks.
Their turnover problems remain an issue, something that could burn them Saturday night in a do-or-die Game 6.

In the Eastern Conference finals-extending game, the Knicks started out well, committing just one turnover in the opening quarter.
That didn't last.
They had 14 over the final three quarters, leading to 20 Pacers points.
Karl-Anthony Towns had four and has committed 12 turnovers in the last three games.

Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart had three apiece.

'It's not just [Towns],' coach Tom Thibodeau said. 'The big thing is keeping it simple. The first open man, hit him. Oftentimes, the intent is good, but we're trying to thread the needle and we can't do that.'

The Knicks are averaging 15 turnovers per game, which has fueled the Pacers' transition game.
They weren't a high-turnover team during the regular season (13.3) or first two rounds of the playoffs (12.9), but it has hurt them in this series.

The Knicks have been here before, trailing the Pacers 3-2 in a best-of-seven series needing to win a Game 6 on the road.

Caitlin Clark delivered perfect taunt for Jalen Brunson at Pacers game
Caitlin Clark was in attendance on Saturday as the Indiana Pacers took down the New York Knicks to go to the 2025 NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder, along with a pair of Fever teammates in Aliyah Boston and Lexie Hull. And cameras captured her reaction to a Tyrese Haliburton three that was perfect -- she used a gesture we most associate with Knicks superstar guard Jalen Brunson, the three fingers over the mouth thing he started doing in New York after signing with the franchise. Advertisement NBA FINALS PREDICTIONS: Who's winning Pacers-Thunder? Clark has become friends with Haliburton, which is quite the powerhouse hoops friendship. And her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, used to work for the Pacers before joining Butler as an assistant coach back in 2024. So this must be triply huge for the WNBA superstar as she roots them on. Caitlin Clark also tweeted about the win with one all-caps post: And here she is getting totally pumped about it in another video: The Pacers' record with Caitlin Clark in attendance is huge Here's another fun fact: the Pacers are UNDEFEATED in the postseason when Clark attends a game. I'd hope that Clark is invited to every NBA Finals game based on that stat while she's rehabbing from an injury! We'll see, but I'd bet that we'll get a Clark appearance at one of the home games hosted by the Pacers.
