Is Elon Musk secretly posting on 4Chan as ‘The Antichrist'?

Express Tribune16-04-2025

A massive data breach at 4Chan has sparked online speculation that tech billionaire Elon Musk may have secretly used the site under the pseudonym 'The Antichrist.' The anonymous message board, known for its provocative and often extremist content, was recently hacked, leading to the leak of its source code, administrative data, and user emails.
A post on the subreddit r/LeaksandRumors has sparked claims that Musk may be behind a long-running 4Chan account known as 'The Antichrist.' The account has posted content aligning with tech evangelism and far-right politics, often using cryptic language like 'You use my tech every day' and 'This is what happens when a billionaire reads Revelation and builds rockets.' It also once claimed to be testing popularity without using Musk's name through a 'smurf account.'
The theory took a darker turn due to several antisemitic and white supremacist posts allegedly made by the account, including disturbing statements like 'Hitler was the beta version. I am the release candidate,' and 'Without the white man, there would be no first world.' These posts have led many to believe the account was designed to provoke — or possibly impersonate — someone high profile like Musk.
Despite the viral speculation, We Got This Covered emphasises there is no direct evidence linking Musk to the account. While the billionaire has previously referenced 4Chan culture and memes, the platform's long-standing history of trolling makes it more likely that the user was deliberately baiting attention.
For now, the theory remains speculative and firmly within internet conspiracy circles. Musk and his representatives have not issued any public comment regarding the matter.

Elon Musk leaving Trump administration, White House official says

WASHINGTON: Billionaire Tesla CEO Elon Musk is leaving the Trump administration after leading a tumultuous efficiency drive during which he upended several federal agencies but failed to deliver the generational savings he had sought. A White House official told Reuters on Wednesday night that it was accurate Musk is leaving the administration and his 'off-boarding will begin tonight.' Musk earlier on Wednesday took to his social media platform X to thank President Donald Trump as his time as a special government employee with the Department of Government Efficiency draws to an end. His departure was quick and unceremonious. He did not have a formal conversation with Trump before announcing his departure, according to a source with knowledge of the matter, who added that his exit was decided 'at a senior staff level.' While the precise circumstances around his exit were not immediately clear, he leaves a day after criticizing the Trump's marquee tax bill, calling it too expensive and a measure that would undermine his work with the U.S. DOGE Service. Over the last several weeks, he had butted heads in private with some cabinet-level officials. He publicly attacked White House trade adviser Peter Navarro as a 'moron' for dismissing Musk's push for 'zero tariffs' between the U.S. and Europe. Doge goes on Musk's 130-day mandate as a special government employee in the Trump administration was set to expire around May 30. The administration has said DOGE's efforts to restructure and shrink the federal government will continue. 'The DOGE mission will only strengthen over time as it becomes a way of life throughout the government,' Musk said. Trump and DOGE have managed to cut nearly 12%, or 260,000, of the 2.3 million-strong federal civilian workforce largely through threats of firings, buyouts and early retirement offers, a Reuters review of agency departures found. Musk on Tuesday criticized the price tag of Republicans' tax and budget legislation making its way through Congress. 'I was disappointed to see the massive spending bill, frankly, which increases the budget deficit, not just decreases it, and undermines the work that the DOGE team is doing,' Musk told CBS News. Musk orders US federal workers to report on work by Monday or resign His political activities have drawn protests and some investors have called for him to leave his work as Trump's adviser and more closely manage Tesla, which has seen falls in sales and its stock price. Musk, the world's richest person, has defended his role as an unelected official who was granted unprecedented authority by Trump to dismantle parts of the U.S. government. Having spent nearly $300 million to back Trump's presidential campaign and other Republicans last year, he said earlier this month he would substantially cut his political spending. 'I think I've done enough,' Musk said at an economic forum in Qatar.

Musk says 'disappointed' by Trump mega-bill

Billionaire Elon Musk, who has stepped back from his role of slashing US government spending by firing tens of thousands of people, has criticized President Donald Trump's signature spending bill. The "One Big, Beautiful Bill Act" — which passed in the House of Representatives and now moves to the Senate — would usher into law Trump's vision for a new "Golden Age," led by efforts to shrink social safety net programs to pay for a 10-year extension of his 2017 tax cuts. But critics say it will decimate health care for the poorest Americans and cause the national debt to balloon. "I was disappointed to see the massive spending bill, frankly, which increases the budget deficit, not just decreases it, and undermines the work that the DOGE team is doing," Musk said in an interview with CBS News. An excerpt was aired Tuesday evening with comments that put him at odds with Trump, who tasked Musk with cutting government spending as head of the so-called Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE. The spending bill is the centerpiece of Trump's domestic policy agenda and could define his second term in the White House. Independent analysts have warned it would increase the deficit by as much as $4 trillion over a decade. "I think a bill can be big or it can be beautiful," Musk told CBS News, "but I don't know if it can be both. My personal opinion." The full interview will be aired Sunday. In a separate interview with the Washington Post, Musk, the head of Tesla and SpaceX, looked back on his work leading the reforms, in which many civil servants lost their jobs with little or no warning. "The federal bureaucracy situation is much worse than I realized," he said. "I thought there were problems, but it sure is an uphill battle trying to improve things in DC, to say the least." Musk announced in late April he was stepping back from government to run his companies again. He said in May that he did not achieve all his goals with DOGE even though tens of thousands of people were removed from government payrolls and several government departments were gutted or shut down altogether.

Elon Musk leaves Trump administration after criticizing ‘big beautiful bill' over spending concerns

Elon Musk has stepped down from his advisory role in the Trump administration after criticizing the president's key legislative proposal. The billionaire entrepreneur cited growing concerns over federal spending and inefficiencies. Musk, who served as a Special Government Employee, announced his departure on X. 'As my scheduled time as a Special Government Employee comes to an end, I would like to thank President @realDonaldTrump,' Musk wrote. He added that his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) would continue to promote fiscal reform. His resignation comes shortly after expressing disappointment with Trump's flagship legislative effort, dubbed the 'big beautiful bill.' In an interview with CBS, Musk described the measure as a 'massive spending bill' that contradicts DOGE's mission and increases the federal deficit. As my scheduled time as a Special Government Employee comes to an end, I would like to thank President @realDonaldTrump for the opportunity to reduce wasteful spending. The @DOGE mission will only strengthen over time as it becomes a way of life throughout the government. — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) May 29, 2025 Despite Musk's exit, the White House confirmed plans to continue DOGE-inspired spending cuts, including rescinding $1.1 billion from the Corporation of Public Broadcasting and $8.3 billion in foreign aid. Some Republican lawmakers, including Sen. Ron Johnson and Sen. Mike Lee, echoed Musk's concerns and pushed for more aggressive fiscal reforms. The bill, which includes tax cuts and immigration enforcement measures, has passed the House and is currently under Senate review. The Congressional Budget Office estimates it would add $3.8 trillion to the federal deficit over 10 years, with only $1 trillion in cuts to social programs. Musk said he would now refocus on his companies, including Tesla and SpaceX, and step back from political donations. Reflecting on his government stint, he admitted: 'The federal bureaucracy situation is much worse than I realized.'
