RedMagic 10S Pro unboxing and hands-on
What's 6.85" big, has a massive 7,050mAh battery, an overclocked 4.47GHz Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, 24 GB of RAM, and more RGB than a desktop PC? Oh, and has its own cooling fan? You (likely) guessed it - the RedMagic 10S Pro.
We have the Dusk model with 24GB of RAM and 512GB of storage (you can even go to 1TB). The phone ships with a red USB-C cable, an 80W charger, and a form-fitting grey transparent case.
The 10S Pro is unmistakable as a RedMagic product with a semi-transparent black rear and an uninterrupted display. That display is a unique 6.85-inch 144Hz panel made by BOE and is massive. RedMagic boasts that it occupies 95.3% of the front with barely anything left for bezels.
There are three light-up zones on the rear: the RedMagic logo at the bottom, the X logo in the upper right, and the fan just below the cameras.
The RedMagic 10S Pro has a unique rectangular shape with flat glass panels on either side and a sturdy metal frame in the middle. The right side of the phone has the volume rocker, a circular power button, and the MagicKey, which by default launches the Game Space. People who buy this phone will likely be happy with the arrangement, but you could also customize what the MagicKey does.

We snapped a close-up picture of the 16MP under-display camera in the front. You'll never see it unless it's active.
The fan has high and low modes - you can hear it in the higher setting, though it isn't intrusive. It's barely audible in the lower setting.
The fan has two grilles on either side of the phone so that it can take in cool air and direct the hot air out.
You can, of course, play to your heart's content with its LED settings.
The RedMagic 10S Pro is a serious gaming phone. Not only does it pack the overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading edition (by 4%, or 15MHz), it brings a 40% faster NPU. For high sustained performance, RedMagic borrowed ideas from gaming PCs. There is 36mm² of liquid metal in direct contact with the chip.
The SoC is paired with the RedCore R3 Pro gaming chip. It leverages upscaling to achieve 120fps in multiple games. It also manages the cooling and the low-latency touch detection. Speaking of, the display has a one-finger sampling rate of 2,500Hz - quite bonkers - and 960Hz for multiple fingers. Of course, there are two capacitive shoulder triggers with 520Hz sampling.

Back in late May, Mark Gurman reported that Apple might change the naming scheme of its operating systems. Samsung's tri-fold appears on certification site with disappointing battery news
The Samsung Galaxy G Fold is the manufacturer's response to Huawei's tri-fold Mate XT Ultimate Design. Despite rumored pricing in the $3,000-$3,500 range, close to the Mate XT's price tag when converted to U.S. Dollars, some looking to purchase the Galaxy G Fold are going to be disappointed by mundane specs that aren't what you might expect for such a pricey handset. For example, the Galaxy G Fold recently surfaced on China's 3C certification site also known as the China Compulsory Certificate site, Devices to be sold in China must have the 3C safety and quality certification which is similar to the UL certification in the U.S. and CE certification in Europe. The 3C website reveals that Sammy's tri-fold listed on the 3C website carries a model number SM-F9680 with the "0" indicating that this particular version of the phone will be sold in China. Reportedly, the Galaxy G Fold will be available in just two markets, Samsung's home turf of South Korea, and China, the world's largest market for smartphones. This might have been done because Samsung was concerned that the phone's thin form factor would leave little room inside the phone. To prevent any risk of overheating and worse, the wired charging rate has been capped at 25W. However, Huawei's Mate XT charges much faster with its wired and wireless charging speeds at 66W and 50W respectively. You can't blame Samsung for having the Galaxy Note 7's battery issue in the back of its mind. Samsung, like Apple, has been the subject of criticism over the relatively slow battery charging speeds that the company's handsets offer. The fastest charging speed, 45W, is offered on Galaxy S Ultra models starting with the S22 Ultra and later. The battery powering the Galaxy G Fold is rumored to weigh in at under 5000mAh compared to the 5600mAh cell on Huawei's Mate XT. So far, Huawei seems to have the advantage specs-wise over Samsung. The Mate XT display gives users a screen as large as 10.2 inches when fully opened. That compares to the 9.96-inch display on the Galaxy G Fold when that screen is fully open. One key component where Samsung's tri-fold will have an important advantage over Huawei is the application processor (AP). The Mate XT, limited by U.S. sanctions, features the 7nm Kirin 9010 AP. The Galaxy G Fold will be equipped with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite AP built using TSMC's 3nm process node. In case you're curious, the Mate XT first launched domestically last September while the Galaxy G Fold could be released before the end of this coming August.

Oppo K13x teased as a 'durable performer' ahead of launch
Sagar, 07 June 2025 Oppo launched the K13 in April in India, and "following the strong market performance" of the smartphone, the brand has decided to launch the K13x in the Asian country. Oppo's Indian branch is teasing the K13x as a "durable performer," which is "designed for users who demand resilience and performance in equal measure." The Chinese brand also said that the Oppo K13x is "engineered to support the dynamic needs of today's youth" and seamlessly balances strength, design, and practicality. Oppo K13 Furthermore, Oppo revealed that the K13x will come with a long-lasting battery, ultra-fast charging, and AI-powered camera features.
