Viral video of Brittney Griner comment creates drama with Caitlin Clark at center
Britney Griner is embroiled in a controversy regarding whether she called Caitlin Clark a 'f–king white girl' Thursday night in the Dream's 81-76 loss to the Fever.
Moments after fouling out, Griner seemingly said 'trash' before then following up with a comment that has been debated.
Griner clearly says 'f–king' but some have argued she then followed with 'white girl,' seemingly about Clark.
Clark is the face of the Fever.
There are those who believe Griner instead said 'wack call,' in reference to her fouling out of the contest.
Former NCAA swimmer and right-wing voice Riley Gaines posted a video of the tweet alleging the former.
'Brittney Griner appeared to call Caitlin Clark 'trash' and a 'f***ing white girl' after fouling out last night,' Gaines posted Friday night.
'Just a reminder: this is who we traded for the Russian Merchant of Death. Now imagine if Clark had said the inverse.'
Former ESPNer and left-leaning commentator Jemele Hill quote tweeted Gaines' post while arguing Griner had not called out Clark.
'I get that your whole personality is caught up in stuff like this, so you don't care about spreading misinformation,' she wrote Saturday afternoon. '1) the foul call made on her had nothing to do with Caitlin Clark. It was because she fouled Natasha Howard. 2) She clearly says 'trash' and 'f–king WACK CALL.'

Griner committed her sixth foul what one television announcer labeled a 'ticky-tack foul,' according to Awful Announcing, and she committed the shooting foul on Howard.
Howard hit one of two free throws to slice the Dream's lead to 71-69.
Whether Griner was commenting on the call or Clark, she certainly seems to be irked with the referees.

During Saturday's win over the Wings, Griner walked away from an interview to yell at the referees 'be f–king better.'
Griner, one of the best women's basketball players in the history of the sport, is averaging 14.8 points and 7.8 rebounds per game for 2-2 Dream.

Olympic champion Zheng battles into French Open last eight
Chinese eighth seed Zheng Qinwen secured a place in the French Open quarter-finals with a hard-fought three-set victory over Russian Liudmila Samsonova on Sunday. The reigning Olympic champion extended her winning streak at Roland Garros to 10 matches, winning 7-6 (7/5), 1-6, 6-3 on Court Suzanne Lenglen. Advertisement Zheng said that she does not feel like a defending champion despite winning Olympic gold at the same venue last summer. "It's different because Grand Slam we need to play seven matches, and the Olympic Games is six matches to get a gold medal," she said. "I really don't consider myself as defending champion. Right now even though I'm in (the) quarter-final, I think I'm still a bit far, and I just want to stay calm and fight every single match. "Forget what happened last year, but just fight at this moment in Roland Garros." Zheng will continue her bid for a maiden Grand Slam title against world number one Aryna Sabalenka after she beat Amanda Anisimova. Advertisement The winner of that clash could face three-time defending champion Iga Swiatek in the semi-finals. Zheng is the only woman to beat Swiatek at Roland Garros in the last four years after her semi-final win at the Paris Games. "I feel she's doing amazing here, but you know, for me I will just keep going because, like I said before, I want to stay longer here in Roland Garros," she added. jc/nf

Caitlin Clark trolls Jalen Brunson during Pacers' playoff beatdown of Knicks
Caitlin Clark wasn't on the court Saturday night, but whipped out a notable celebration anyway. Clark was sitting courtside along with Fever teammates Lexi Hull and Aliyah Boston as the Pacers eliminated the Knicks in the Eastern Conference Finals, and whipped out Jalen Brunson's signature 3-point celebration after a Tyrese Haliburton three. Advertisement Clark is currently out with a quad issue, so she can't hit the celebration for herself. But she took the chance to celebrate the other team in town and troll the Knicks' point guard. Brunson has made a bit of a mystery out of the celebration in the past, saying after a 2023 playoff game, 'Don't worry about it,' when ESPN's Lisa Salters asked why he does it — though he did open up about it to The Post's Stefan Bondy last year. 4 Knicks guard Jalen Brunson celebrates hitting a 3-pointer during Game 4 against the Pacers on May 27, 2025. X/IndianaFever We'll see whether Clark — who might well have been the best 3-point shooter in the building on Saturday — breaks it out with the Fever once she returns. In the meantime, she can do plenty of celebrating of the Pacers, who took a 125-108 win over New York to reach their first NBA Finals since 2000. They'll face the Thunder, with Game 1 set for Thursday night in Oklahoma City, with the chance to win their first-ever NBA title. The Knicks, who had reached the conference finals for the first time since 2000, will rue this series all summer. They blew a 10-point lead in the final minute of Game 1 and saw their best two players — Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns — largely fail to access their highest level across six games. 4 Fever players Caitlin Clark (r.), Lexie Hull (c.) and Aliyah Boston (l.) attend the Pacers' Game 6 win over the Knicks on May 31, 2025. Tyrese Haliburton claps back at Ben Stiller after sending Knicks packing from playoffs
Ben Stiller talked his trash and paid the price. The actor and die-hard Knicks fan joked before Game 6 that Tyrese Haliburton 'brought his duffel for the flight to NY' after seeing footage of the Pacers point guard dressed in all black. After the Pacers eliminated the Knicks with a 125-108 win, Haliburton clapped back. 'Nah, was to pack y'all up,' Haliburton posted on X in response to Stiller. Indeed, it was likely a long night for Stiller, who was a regular at Knicks playoff games throughout the team's run, though he did not appear to make the trip for Game 6 after doing so for Game 4. Haliburton's clapback was well-earned. He outplayed counterpart Jalen Brunson in Saturday's Game 6, putting up 21 points with 13 assists, much of it coming in the second half when the Pacers broke the game open. 3 Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton celebrates during the team's Game 6 Eastern Conference finals win over the Knicks on May 31, 2025. Charles Wenzelberg / New York Post Brunson, meanwhile, was locked up by Andrew Nembhard after a masterful adjustment by Pacers coach Rick Carlisle. The Knicks' leading man scored 19 but was 8-for-18 from the field and never got going with the season on the line. After Haliburton beat out Brunson for a spot on the Olympic team last year, he justified that controversial decision in this series. Haliburton, who flashed the choke sign after the Knicks blew Game 1 of the series, became a villain at Madison Square Garden this series as a result — a status only enhanced now by taking on one of the Garden's most recognizable celebrities.
