Halesworth Town FC to pay respects to Toby Chenery at SIL match
A football club will pay its respects on matchday to a former player who died unexpectedly last month.Halesworth Town Football Club announced the death of Toby Chenery, who died last month, aged 23.His team said on social media: "He will leave a huge hole in not only our lives but those of his football family, many fiends, colleagues and all who knew him."In a separate post on Facebook, the club said it would "be paying respects at the game" with a two-minute silence during the home fixture against Old Newton United in the Suffolk & Ipswich League, which kicks off at 14:30 GMT on Saturday.
Mr Chenery joined Halesworth Town when he was 17 years old, in 2018. The club added that he "went to bed a fit, happy and healthy young man and sadly passed away in his sleep".Other local football clubs have paid tributes, including Southwold Town, which posted: "We send our sincerest condolences to Toby's family, friends and everyone connected to Halesworth Town FC."Halesworth Town added: "Your support would be hugely appreciated."We would like to say a massive thank you to the local and footballing community for the incredible support we have received following the sad news of Toby."

Young Suffolk golfer Tyler Weaver make debut in US Open
A golf club that helped shape rising athlete Tyler Weaver said the "sky is the limit" as he took on professionals during a major amateur golfer, 20, from Suffolk, made his major debut in the US Open at Oakmont, Pennsylvania, on Thursday finishing the round five over par putting him tied in 79th place.
