Cristiano Ronaldo is almost certain he won't play at the Club World Cup
MUNICH (AP) — Cristiano Ronaldo says he's almost certain he will not be playing at the Club World Cup, dealing a blow to FIFA president Gianni Infantino's hopes of having one of soccer's biggest attractions at the tournament.
The Portugal star confirmed Saturday that he received 'quite a few' offers from participating clubs to play for them at the tournament starting June 14, but had decided against accepting any of them.
'Some things make sense to talk about, other things don't, and, as a person says, you can't take part in everything,' Ronaldo said. 'You have to think about the short, medium and long term. It's a decision practically made on my part not to go to the Club World Cup, but I've had quite a few invitations to go.'
Ronaldo was speaking in Munich a day before Portugal's Nations League final against Spain.
'This is irrelevant right now,' Ronaldo said when first asked about the Club World Cup. 'It makes no sense to talk about anything other than the national team.'

"I would love to do it, hopefully I can play my game tomorrow and I can do it. I'll just try to play one shot at a time and get that mindset from the start, and what will be will be." Oilers sign a top young attacker from Finland's top league

Top scorer Atro Leppanen had 63 points in 60 games. Marjala had 52 in 54, with 44 of the points coming on assists. The Oilers already signed Leppanen, a 26-year-old d-man, in late April. 2. In the summer of 2021, Greg Boysen of the Hockey Writers said of Marjala: 'While Marjala is a strong skater, he does not have game-changing speed by any means. Even though he didn't shoot as much with Quebec as he previously had, he still has a heavy and accurate shot. He prefers to shoot from in close than taking low-percentage shots.
