Iran-Israel war: In a significant turn of event in the ongoing war between Iran and Israel, a senior military officer of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has called on Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan to form an 'Islamic army' to fight Israel. Mohsen Rezai said in an interview to Iranian media that influential Islamic countries like Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan should form a joint 'Islamic army' to fight Israel.
'We want to form an Islamic army together with Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and many other countries', Mohsen Rezai told Iranian media about the Islamic army they want to form.
'Pakistan has assured us that if Israel uses nuclear bomb on Iran, they will attack Israel with nuclear bomb. Israel has targeted Iran, Yemen and Palestine. If Muslim countries do not unite now, everyone will suffer the same fate', Mohsen Rezai added in his comment.
The statment from the senior IRGC senior military officer gained more significance after Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif called on Muslim countries to launch a united initiative against Israel in his speech addressing Pakistan's National Assembly on June 14. In another significant event during the ongoing Iran-Israel war, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that Israeli Air Force fighter jets struck Quds Force command centres in Tehran, intensifying the already deadly confrontation between Israel and Iran.
As per a report by IANS news agency, the IDF was quoted as saying that the attacks were carried out using 'precise intelligence' and targeted facilities involved in orchestrating terrorist activities against Israel.
'The Air Force attacked Quds Force headquarters in Tehran. Air Force fighter jets attacked the headquarters of the Quds Force of the Revolutionary Guards and the Iranian army, under precise intelligence guidance from the Intelligence Department,' the IDF posted on X.

Journalists killed in Israel's attack on state radio, television building: Iran Embassy in India
Tehran [Iran], June 16 (ANI): The Embassy of Iran in India on Monday shared a photo of smoke billowing from a building and said that its state radio and television building had been attacked, resulting in the deaths and injury of large number of Iranian journalists. Sharing the details in a post on X, the Embassy said that the 'criminal act' violates all international regulations. It said, 'A few minutes ago, in a brutal attack, the criminal #Zionist regime targeted the building of Iran's state radio and television (IRIB), killing and injuring a large number of Iranian journalists. We expect independent media in #India to condemn this criminal act, which clearly violates all international regulations.' Earlier on Monday, Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian had said in a post on X, 'We have never been and are not aggressors, but hand in hand, we stand strong against the brutal criminal. All countries should condemn Israel's attack on Iran, says Cultural Counsellor at Iran Culture House in Delhi
New Delhi [India], June 16 (ANI): Farid Faridasr, the Cultural Counsellor at Iran Culture House in Delhi, said that Iran has expectations from the world that countries should condemn the attack by Israel on Iran. Noting that the country has cleared its position that it doesn't seek nuclear weapons and has had the most visits by the IAEA, the Counsellor also remarked that the safety of people in Iran is their top priority. Speaking to ANI on the rising tensions between Iran and Israel, Farid Faridasr said, 'One thing is very clear and evident for the international community that they (Israel) have invaded our country and they have attacked on our civilians as well as the army members and we have just responded. And it is ideal that international community should put some pressure on the invader country, not us. And we are trying to respond to that attack which happened on our soil.' Speaking about the nuclear issue, Counsellor Faridasr said, 'We always cleared our position that we've never been looking for the nuclear weapons and it is just a stunt by the enemy countries. The most visits by IAEA, we had in our country, Chiefs have visited Iran a number of times and a number of times we have cleared that Iran was never looking for the weapons and we were just using it for our energy in our country'. On the issue of the safety of people, he told ANI, 'The security of our civilians is a top priority. Iran's top priority is that they want to make sure the security for Iranian nations as well as the foreigners living in Iran...
