Sudanese student stabbed to death in India protecting female friends from harassment

ALBAWABA - A Sudanese student named Mohamed Wada was killed, and his cousin was injured at a university in Jalandhar, India, after trying to protect their female friends from harassment, according to several local news outlets.
Hindustan Times reported that the 24-year-old Sudanese student who attended Lovely Professional University was stabbed to death. At the same time, his cousin, Ahmed Mohamed Nour, was targeted in an attack and suffered major injuries at the village of Maheru. Additionally, Wada's cousin was admitted to a private hospital in Jalandhar for treatment.
While the Sudanese student was also rushed to the hospital, he was declared dead on arrival.
Mohamed Wada, a Sudanese Muslim, obtained martyrdom in India. He was going home after Fajr and saw some Indian perverts harassing two women. He tried to stop them and they stabbed him to death.

Nour issued a complaint to the local police stating that six students approached him and Wada with sharp objects after they tried to protect their female friends from harassment.
Local police arrested six individuals in their 20s: Abdul Ahadh, Aditya Garg, Kuwar Amar Partap Singh, Mohammed Shoaib, Sushank alias Shaggy, and Yash Vardhan Rajput.
The incident took place near the University's Law Gate around 4 a.m. when Wada and Nour were walking alongside their two female friends. Several individuals who were claimed to be under the influence approached them and asked for the females' phone numbers, which triggered the heated interaction.
A Change petition titled "Seek Justice for Hero Mohamed Wada, Murdered Sudanese LPU Student" flooded social media platforms. The petition demanded from authorities "immediate and unwavering justice" for Wada and that the "perpetrators face the full force of the legal system, with no leniency."
It also urged authorities to investigate the culprits' pasts for possible criminal records. By the time of reporting, the petition garnered more than 1,000 verified signatures.
Several Sudanese social media users took to platforms such as X (formerly known as Twitter) to offer their condolences to Wada and his family.
