
Tunisian President Praises Al Hokama Publishing's Releases

Kais Saied, President of the Republic of Tunisia, visited the pavilion of the Muslim Council of Elders at the 39th edition of the Tunis International Book Fair.
During his tour of the pavilion, he reviewed the Council's diverse collection of more than 250 publications available in five languages, addressing prominent intellectual and cultural issues.
President Saied expressed particular interest in several key publications, including 'The Call for the People of Qiblah: One Nation and a Shared Destiny' and 'The Problems Behind the Division of the Ummah into Sunnis and Shia.'
He emphasized the importance of the unity of the Muslim Ummah, adherence to the fundamental principles of Islam, and the rejection of division, citing the verse from the Quran: 'Surely this religion of yours is only one, and I am your Lord, so fear Me alone.' (Quran 23:52).
He also reviewed '100 Questions on Doctrine, Creed, and Sharia,' with its sections covering issues related to Islamic theology, takfir, jihad, Islamic governance, and other contemporary matters.
He underlined the necessity of correcting misconceptions and the importance of properly understanding Islamic heritage, commending the efforts of the Muslim Council of Elders, under the chairmanship of Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, in promoting peace, fostering the values of dialogue, tolerance, and coexistence, and striving for the unity of the Muslim Ummah.
The Muslim Council of Elders is participating for the second consecutive year with a dedicated pavilion at the Tunis International Book Fair, held from April 25 to May 4, 2025.
The Council is showcasing more than 250 diverse intellectual and cultural titles by Al Hokama Publishing, in line with its mission to promote peace, foster the values of dialogue and tolerance, and build bridges of cooperation and human coexistence.

UAE, Syria Leaders Discuss Ways to Enhance Bilateral Co-op
Nada Mustafa Syrian President Ahmad Al-Shara held a phone call with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha. According to the Syrian presidency, the two leaders exchanged greetings and well wishes during the call, expressing their hopes for continued prosperity and stability for both nations. As reported by the Emirates News Agency (WAM), Al-Shara and Sheikh Mohammed extended their warmest wishes for health and happiness to all, praying that the blessed occasion brings goodness, blessings, and peace to the peoples of Syria, the UAE, the broader Islamic world, and the global community. The call also touched on the fraternal relations between the two countries and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in a manner that benefits both peoples. It is worth noting that on May 11, the two presidents had a previous phone conversation during which they exchanged views on recent regional developments and explored ways to enhance bilateral ties across various sectors. Mohamed Mandour The Muslim Council of Elders, under the chairmanship of Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, extends its heartfelt congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the successful completion of this year's Hajj season. Turkish Embassy in Cairo celebrates Eid Al-Adha with families from Gaza, Egypt
Basant Ahmed The Turkish Embassy in Cairo, in cooperation with the Palestinian Embassy, the Egyptian "Awladi" Association, and the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation (İHH), distributed sacrificial meat to Palestinian and Egyptian families. Ambassador Salih Mutlu ŞEN welcomed the guests during the event and said that unfortunately the deteriorating situation in Gaza spoils the joy of Eid for the Islamic world. Nearly 700 people participated in the solidarity event on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. Ambassador Salih Mutlu ŞEN said that they pray for peace, security, and prosperity for the oppressed brotherly Palestinian people, the entire Islamic world, and all of humanity on this Eid. He expressed their desire to implement relief activities as soon as possible for Palestinians residing in Egypt and those in need in Gaza, in cooperation with the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), the Turkish Red Crescent, and Turkish civil society organizations.
