The all-female crew of Blue Origin's flight Monday morning, April 14, from Texas is certified "ready to fly to space."
The group of celebrities includes pop artist Katy Perry and Gayle King, who co-hosts "CBS mornings."
The launch window opens at 9:30 a.m. EDT for Blue Origin's New Shepard, the same vehicle 48 others have ridden to space on 10 previous human spaceflights from the company's west Texas facility.
New Shepard's maiden voyage was July 2021 with a crew that included billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who owns the space technology company.
New Shepard is composed of both a rocket and a crew capsule, which is outfitted with large windows for its passengers to gaze out of during the spaceflight.
Here's how you can watch the 11-minute flight.
The launch window opens at 9:30 a.m. EDT, according to Blue Origin.
The vehicle will lift off at Launch Site One, a private ranch in rural West Texas more than 140 miles east of El Paso.
A livestream of the launch will be available to watch via USA TODAY.

Six women were selected to be part of the next Blue Origin commercial spaceflight, a mission known as NS-31.
Here's who will be on board:
Aisha Bowe: a former NASA rocket scientist, CEO of engineering firm STEMBoard and founder of LINGO, which teaches students technology skills.
Kerianne Flynn: A film producer known for her contributions to "This Changes Everything," a 2018 documentary about sexism in Hollywood.
Gayle King: A journalist and television personality best known as a co-host of "CBS Mornings."
Amanda Nguyen: A prominent civil rights activist and bioastronautics research scientist who worked on the last NASA space shuttle mission, STS-135, and the U.S. space agency's exoplanet-hunting Kepler space telescope.
Katy Perry: A pop music artist and former host of "American Idol."
Lauren Sánchez: An Emmy Award-winning journalist who is the fiancée of Bezos.
Blue Origin posted a photo of the NS-31 mission patch and explained a few of the key symbols and how they reflect the crew on board Monday's flight:
The target star symbolizes Aisha Bowe's ambition for setting big goals, passion for STEM, and commitment to inspiring future generations.
The scales of justice symbolize Amanda Nguyễn's efforts to advocate for civil rights, break barriers, and empower everyday people to create change.
The shooting star microphone represents Gayle King's commitment to sharing important stories with the world.
The firework symbolizes Katy Perry's global influence across music, pop culture, and philanthropy.
The film reel symbolizes Kerianne Flynn's passion for filmmaking, storytelling, and crafting beautiful narratives.
Flynn the Fly, the main character in Lauren Sánchez's bestselling children's book, The Fly Who Flew to Space, is along for the ride. The story is about overcoming adversity, inspiring kids with learning differences to pursue their dreams.

Tonys broadcast hit with sound complaints as viewers beg CBS to ‘turn on the mics'

Viewers tuning into the 78th annual Tony Awards have complained about sound issues affecting the broadcast. Live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City, the awards ceremony is being shown on CBS and streaming on Paramount+. While fans were impressed with the performances, they were disappointed by the sound while presenters, winners, and performers — like Sarah Snook and Jonathan Groff — were at the mic. 'Who's on the sound at the tonys right now TURN ON THE DAMN MICS,' one frustrated fan wrote on X. 'They need to fix these sound issues while it's still early,' someone else said, while another agreed: 'Terrible sound.' 'The sound problems are really putting a hamper on the show performances. I could barely hear what Jonathan Groff was singing sometimes,' another shared. 'Why cant the #Tonys ever get the sound mix right on the Broadcast? The shows on Broadway do this 8 shows a week, its insane that @CBS can't ever get this right for one night a year,' someone else said. 'The sound mixing on the Tonys is horrendous,' another complained. The sound problems are really putting a hamper on the show performances. I could barely hear what Jonathan Groff was singing sometimes.#TonyAwards #tonys — Kristin (@itskristind) June 9, 2025 Other fans begged for a fix before the highly anticipated Hamilton reunion performance. 'The sound issues are crazy to me. Really messing up Nicole's big moment and everyone's big moment. Get it together before Hamilton,' one viewer wrote. The original cast is reuniting to celebrate the hit musical's tenth anniversary on Broadway. Hamilton received a record-breaking 16 Tony nominations in 2016 and ultimately won 11 awards, including Best Musical. Also performing during the main broadcast were the companies of nominated musicals Death Becomes Her, Maybe Happy Ending, Buena Vista Social Club, Floyd Collins, Gypsy, Maybe Happy Ending, Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical, Pirates! The Penzance Musical, Sunset Blvd., Just In Time, and Real Women Have Curves. The first part of this year's ceremony, The Tony Awards: Act One, began streaming promptly at 6:40 p.m. ET on Pluto TV. The national broadcast, hosted by Cynthia Erivo live from Radio City Music Hall, began at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and streaming on Paramount+. Succession star Snook took home the evening's first acting award for her expansive, one-woman take on The Picture of Dorian Gray. Paul Tazewell won for Death Becomes Her, marking the first time in 73 years that a costume designer has won an Oscar and a Tony in the same year. He won an Oscar earlier this year for Wicked: Part I. Kara Young also made history later in the evening when she became the second person to win back-to-back Tonys in the featured actress in a play category. She's already made history this year by earning her fourth consecutive acting nomination.

Cynthia Erivo's Original Song Provides Lively Opening To Tony Awards As She Earns A Standing Ovation

Following a rousing opening to the Oscars in March, where Cynthia Erivo was joined by Wicked co-star Ariana Grande for a medley of the classic musical's hits 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' (from The Wizard of Oz) and 'Defying Gravity,' the Jesus Christ Superstar actress brought the same powerhouse vocals to the first moments of Tony Awards, the 78th edition of which she is hosting live from Radio City Music Hall today. Broadcasting live on CBS and streamer Paramount+, the inaugural moments of the fete began with Erivo backstage getting prodded by various backstage helpers into zhuzhing up her opening act with stunts and gimmicks in order to grab audiences and excite them: There were suggestions to push an assistant down the stairs à la Death Becomes Her (not to worry, there's worker's comp), while Abbott Elementary's Larry Owens advocated for her to just do her famous run in 'Defying Gravity.' And for some reason, Hugh Jackman wanted to know if he could order dozens of trombones? (A decisive no from Erivo on that front.) Plus My Surefire Tony Award Predictions Based On Seeing Only Six Shows - Notes On The Season However, as Erivo strutted toward the stage in a dazzling, sequined off-the-shoulder red gown, she was met with Oprah Winfrey, with whom she recreated the viral finger-holding moment she previously shared with Grande during the press run for Wicked. Getting some encouragement from the media mogul, she launched into an original number, 'Sometimes All You Need Is a Song.' The Tony winner belted the tune, her powerhouse vocals later accompanied by a white-clad choir that added sweeping gospel touches to the song. As she sang 'It's our stories and our songs that let us soar,' she shouted out Tony nominees like Audra McDonald, Cole Escola and Sarah Snook (who just won Leading Actress for her one-woman role in The Picture of Dorian Gray). The Poker Face actress then descended the stage to the crowd, getting the likes of Kristin Chenoweth and Adam Lambert to contribute vocals to the ballad. The performance came amid the promotional push for the second part to the blockbuster first installment of Jon M. Chu's Wicked. Titled Wicked: For Good and bowing in theaters this Thanksgiving, the continuation will mark the progression of Elphaba's (Erivo) and Glinda's (Grande) story. Transitioning to introduce the awards show, Erivo began in a short monologue: 'There's no place like home, and Broadway has always been mine.' While pointing out first-time nominees like Sadie Sink, Erivo also threw a lighthearted jab highlighting 'an up-and-comer I think you're gonna hear a lot about, George Clooney.' Touting Broadway's 'most financially lucrative year ever,' she said, 'Broadway is officially back — provided we don't run out of cast members from Succession,' which got a big laugh from Snook just moments before the Shiv Roy actress clinched her statuette.
