Weather conditions are likely to get humid by tomorrow night and Wednesday morning, mainly over coastal areas.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said that there will be fair to partly cloudy skies at times, with a chance of some convective cloud formation associated with rainfall eastward and northward. Conditions will get humid by night and Sunday morning over some coastal and internal areas with a probability of fog or mist formation. NCM added that there will be light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds, freshening at times with a speed of 10kmph and 25kmph, reaching 40kmph. The sea conditions will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in Oman Sea. Temperatures in Abu Dhabi are likely to see a high of 36°C and a low of 27°C, while in Dubai, it will be 27°C with a low of 27°C. Sharjah will witness a high of 39°C and a low of 26°C.

Four-day weekend to mark festival begins on Thursday The UAE is geared up for a hot and humid Eid Al Adha break, but there may be rain on the way in some areas to offer respite from rising temperatures. The National Centre of Meteorology forecasts highs of 35°C in Abu Dhabi and 36°C for Arafat Day on Thursday, which marked the start of a four-day public holiday in the Emirates. The first day of the Eid Al Adha festival on Friday will see the mercury rise to 37°C in the capital and remain steady at 36°C in Dubai. The NCM predicts a marked increase in temperatures over the Eid Al Adha weekend, with daytime highs reaching 38°C in Abu Dhabi on Saturday and climbing to 40°C on Sunday. In Dubai, temperatures are set to hit 37°C on Saturday and 39°C on Sunday. Humidity levels are expected to peak at between 80 per cent and 85 per cent in Abu Dhabi and Dubai on Friday, but will drop off during the rest of the holiday. Eid Al Adha is being observed as the Emirates moves closer to the summer season, having already experienced unseasonably hot conditions in recent weeks. The UAE recorded its hottest April and May on record, although temperatures have cooled slightly in the early days of June. A National Centre of Meteorology forecaster said on Tuesday the average maximum temperature for May was 40.4°C – compared with overall maximum averages from 2003 to 2024 of 39.2°C. The average temperature for May was 33.2°C – compared with the historical average of 32.2°C. Rain on the way Residents venturing to the Northern Emirates for the public holiday are also set to encounter high temperatures and the prospect of rain. The NCM's online weather map shows that rain is projected for Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, as well as Al Ain, on both Saturday and Sunday. Maximum daytime temperatures in Ras Al Khaimah are forecast to remain at 39°C from Thursday to Sunday. In Fujairah, temperatures will hovering around 40°C, though the NCM forecasts the wet weather in store on Sunday to bring with it a drop to 34°C. Temperatures are set to rise on Monday, as public and private sector employees return to work. The NCM's weather map projects Abu Dhabi to bear the brunt of the heat, with daytime temperatures of 43°C in store. The weather centre expects temperatures to reach 40°C in Dubai on the same day.

The day will be fair to partly cloudy tomorrow, the National Centre of Meteorology has said. Low clouds will appear Northward and Eastward with a probability of light rainfall, the authority said. Light to moderate winds will blow, freshening at times, with a speed of 10kmph to 20kmph, reaching 35kmph. Temperatures could be as high as 43°C in the country. Mercury is set to rise to 36°C in Abu Dhabi and 35°C in Dubai. However, temperatures could be as low as 26°C in Abu Dhabi and 27°C in Dubai and 25°C in internal areas. It will be humid by night and Saturday morning over some coastal areas with a probability of mist formation. Levels will range from 15 to 80 per cent in Abu Dhabi and 35 per cent to 80 per cent in Dubai. Conditions at sea will be moderate to slight in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman sea.
