Car chase ends in crash, foot chase in Hickory Hill
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two men were detained, and one is wanted in a high-speed chase after crashing into a utility pole and starting a foot chase in Hickory Hill on Tuesday.
At 2:02 a.m., officers responded to a Drugs/Narcotics Violation/Misdemeanor in the 6500 Greenwood Drive.
They responded to a call regarding three men in a grey Ford vehicle driving around the area. One suspect wore a grey hoodie, one was dressed in all black, and another wore a red hoodie.
Police say an anonymous caller said his boyfriend was leaving the house and observed three people sitting on a green box inside The Brooklyn, an apartment complex in the 3000 block of Autumnwood Avenue.

Reports say all three suspects were looking at a Nissan Altima and a Sentra. Officers arrived on the scene, and they saw the men fitting the description quickly leaving the complex.
The suspects fled the scene in a Ford Escape with the lights off, initiating a high-speed police chase. They ran a red light at Ridgeway Road and Mount Moriah Road, then another at Hickory Hill Road and Mount Moriah, where they crashed into a Ford Escort.
Police say the crash caused the Ford Escape to roll over, colliding with a utility pole.
According to MPD, the suspect, wearing all black, fled the scene on foot to the Highland Hills Apartments at 2831 Fosterwood Drive.

Officers located the first suspect at the Hickory Pointe Apartments at 2755 Hickory Point Cove.
Police say the suspect in the red hoodie attempted to run away before an officer detained him. They located a car programmer and a key fob in two of the suspects' pockets.
Reports say he told police he was in the vehicle during the incident. The suspects were taken to Regional One.
Police found a backpack in the street containing a clear bag of what appeared to be marijuana in a pill bottle.

They also found one loaded gun with a 30-round magazine in the street, one gun with an unknown number of rounds on the sidewalk, an Apple iPad and an iPhone in the backpack, and an iProtec weapon light on the sidewalk.
Reports say only two were detained; the third is still on the run.
A nurse treating one of the suspects told police he had a phone on his back. The driver was detained and identified with a cell phone and a driver's license found inside the car.
Memphis Police have not released the identities of those detained. It is unclear if any charges have been filed.

More specifically, the rearview camera's images may delay, freeze, or not display at all when affected vehicles are in reverse, according to the NHTSA's report. The recall applies to Ford's 2021-2024 Bronco, F-150, Edge, and 2023-2024 Escape, Corsair, F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, and F-600. The 2022-2024 Expedition, 2022-2025 Transit, 2021-2023 Mach-E, Lincoln Nautilus, 2024 Ranger, Mustang, and the 2022-2024 Navigator are also impacted. A dealer or over-the-air software update will soon solve the problem with the vehicles' accessory protocol interface module (APIM) software, which serves as an operating system for a car's dashboard. This operating system helps a vehicle's infotainment system control programs, including but not limited to apps and navigation maps. There are no warning signs before the described rearview camera problem occurs. Documents related to the issue report that Ford is aware of one minor crash associated with the software problem, resulting in property damage, but no injuries or deaths. 2 dead following three-vehicle collision in Stoney Creek Sunday
A driver and passenger are dead following a three-vehicle collision in Hamilton's Stoney Creek area early Sunday, police say. Shortly after midnight, officers responded to a collision on Upper Centennial Parkway between Mud Street E. and Green Mountain Road, Hamilton Police Service said in a news release Sunday. According to police, a Ford pick-up truck travelling south collided with a Chevrolet pick-up truck also going south. The driver of the Ford then struck a Kia travelling north head-on. The Kia's driver and passenger were pronounced dead on the scene. The Ford driver went to hospital with "non-life threatening injuries" while the Chevrolet driver was uninjured, police said. Early Sunday, police said the road would be closed for several hours while they investigated. By about 9:50 a.m., it re-opened. The police's collision reconstruction team ask any witnesses to come forward, and request that people with dashcam or security-camera footage share that with them.
