BREAKING NEWS Mauricio Pochettino shuts down 'unrealistic' Tottenham links and claims he is 'so happy' with USA one year out from the World Cup
United States men's national team coach and former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino threw water on rumors that he could return to north London.
On Friday, the Europa League champions announced they had sacked manager Ange Postecoglu, who broke a 17-year title drought for the club.
Answering a question asked by Daily Mail after a 2-1 loss to Turkey, Pochettino indicated that the rumors were not realistic and that his name was one of many linked with the job.
'I think, since I left in 2019, my name has always been on the list [of rumors],' Pochettino said in the press conference.
'I've seen the rumors, we are 100 coaches on the list. Don't be worried about that. If something happens, we'll see, but we cannot talk about this type of thing.
'Today it's not realistic, look where I am, look where we are. The answer is so clear.'

Caleb Durbin smacks walk-off homer in Brewers win over Padres
June 8 - Caleb Durbin hit the first pitch in the bottom of the ninth inning for a walk-off homer to give the Milwaukee Brewers a 4-3 victory over the visiting San Diego Padres on Saturday night. The Padres erased a 3-1 deficit with two runs in the top of the ninth off closer Trevor Megill (1-2) who had converted 12 of 13 save chances, including 11 straight. Elias Diaz singled with one out, but was forced at second when Tyler Wade reached on a fielder's choice. Xander Bogaerts walked, and Wade and Bogaerts executed a double steal. Luis Arraez followed with a two-run double down the left-field line. David Morgan (0-1) relieved for the Padres to open the ninth and Durbin sent the first pitch 386 feet to left center for his second homer. Milwaukee went in front 3-1 with two runs in the eighth off Jason Adam. With one out, Christian Yelich drew his third walk of the game. William Contreras dribbled an infield single to third. Sal Frelick then reached on catcher's interference to load the bases. Rhys Hoskins delivered a sacrifice fly to left to make it 2-1. Isaac Collins followed with a bloop RBI single to left. The Brewers tied it 1-all with an unearned run in the seventh off Jeremiah Estrada, who relieved to open the inning. Collins singled with one out. Caleb Durbin beat out an infield singled on a chopper behind second, with Collins continuing to third on a throwing error by second baseman Jose Iglesias. Collins scored on Jake Bauers' sacrifice fly to center. The Padres took a 1-0 lead in the fourth off starter Jose Quintana when Jackson Merrill singled to open and Iglesias drew a one-out walk. Elias Diaz's two-out single to left scored Merrill. Milwaukee threatened in the sixth when Yelich walked with two out and Contreras singled, chasing starter Stephen Kolek. Trump attends UFC championship fight in New Jersey, taking a break from politics, Musk feud
President Donald Trump walked out to a thunderous standing ovation just ahead of the start of the UFC pay-per-view card at the Prudential Center on Saturday night, putting his public feud with tech billionaire Elon Musk on hold to instead watch the fierce battles inside the cage. Trump was accompanied by UFC President Dana White and the pair headed to their cageside seats to Kid Rock's 'American Bad Ass.' Trump and White did the same for UFC's card last November at Madison Square Garden, only then they were joined by Musk. Trump shook hands with fans and supporters — a heavyweight lineup that included retired boxing champion Mike Tyson — on his way to the cage. Trump was joined by his daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, along with son Eric Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Trump shook hands with the UFC broadcast team that included Joe Rogan. Rogan hosted Trump on his podcast for hours in the final stages of the campaign last year. UFC fans went wild for Trump and held mobile devices in their outstretched arms to snap pictures of him. Trump arrived in time for the start of a card set to include two championship fights. Julianna Peña and Merab Dvalishvili were scheduled to each defend their 135-pound championships.
