Raj Bhawan has confirmed about the release of Bose from the hospital and noted that 'he is now in good health.''We are pleased to inform that the Honourable Governor of West Bengal Dr C V Ananda Bose has returned to Raj Bhavan after a brief period of medical care and rest at the hospital. We are happy to share that the Honourable Governor is now in good health and high spirits,' Raj Bhawan source said.Bose was discharged from the Kolkata-based private hospital nearly three weeks after he was admitted there on April 22 with shoulder pain.'Dr CV Ananda Bose, Hon'ble Governor of West Bengal, was brought to Apollo Multispeciality Hospitals , Kolkata, on April 22, 2025, with complaint of shoulder pain after his hectic work during his visit to the field,' the hospital said in a press statement.The hospital authority said also confirmed that 'On detailed examination, he was found to have mild coronary artery disease . He underwent an intervention procedure.''He has been cooperative and responded well to the treatment and has been discharged from the hospital on May 15, 2025. Now his oxygen saturation is 100%, his blood pressure and blood glucose level are normal. However, he has been advised by the medical team to slow down his pace of work until the next assessment,' the statement said.On April 21, Bose was rushed to Kolkata's Eastern Command Army Hospital when he complained of uneasiness following his return from communal violence-hit areas in Murshidabad district.The Governor was reportedly shifted to the private hospital the next day , where he was treated, till his discharge. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee visited him at both the hospitals.
